      It was a pretty basic read going against helmuth, who’s thinking it over, obviously meaning he didn’t have a big pair or AK, both of which he immediately calls with.

    Phills actually quite an easy man to read as Players go, he's so aware of his long Poker career yet at the same time doesn't seem to realise many unknown players he comes up against have watched him play for decades, read his Poker literature and so know his game, tells etc etc inside out where his opponents are often a blank to him, curious that the self proclaimed greatest of all time cant factor these things into his strategy.

      Sure. It’s effectively an additional blind. The straddler doubles the previous blind prior to the hand and they act last. Same concept if there is a double/triple/quadruple straddle, etc.

      @@Pokernight Thanks, just 1 more question and i really appreciate your help, this is all before they see their cards? because if they have lousy cards yet have put in more money then they have incentive to stay in the hand even with bad cards, and wouldn't that tell the other players that their chances of needing to bluff are really high?

      Believe it or not, this shoot day was never processed into episodes so unless you watched it on that day through the technical errors of the streams, you’ve likely never seen this aside from 1-2 hands that were used for shorts content earlier this year.

    Unless they are getting paid a lot to be on stream, doesnt make any sense to have a table of just poker pros. Their average EV would be zero, which means it is time wasted not making any money.

      It’s in everyone’s best interests to grow the game. Remember, when hole cams were initially introduced, many objected for obvious reasons but eventually realized it was worth it to make poker watchable and expand its reach.

      i'm pretty new to poker and learned a lesson the other day, i had AKo and and raised, got reraised and i shoved, the guy had 22 and i whiffed and he won, now had i just called with AK any bet i made would have gotten a fold from him, i think it's ok to call with a pair, mostly you're trying to dodge 6 outs.
