For a dude that has done soooo much mixing these past couple years in the death sdx, this is an absolute wet dream to watch two pro's play and mix together. Thank you!
I'm learning so much about Superior Drummer by watching this. This is great!
One of many reasons that TesseracT really is from a fuhhkin 4th Dimension, They have the balls , skill and confidence to do this live.
New album plz❤️
Second This..
They've already announced Tesseract 5. Get hype y'all
It’s crazy how accurate and realistic that kit sounds.
The Blind reference in the very last seconds did not go unnoticed over here, Jay - just so you can rest assured.
1:21:54 You can use a velocity gate to designate a part of your snare stack to only trigger during the softer hits, and then crossfade the louder layers in at higher velocities for live use.
I love this new snare sound that they are going for, so much more dynamic and the ghost notes sound so much better than sonder
The fact that you can remote control his laptop across the Atlantic in real time, then sync up audio and video WHILE streaming is insane. I love it!
128kbs though
Some of the tech right now is really amazing.
I wonder what they're using to make that possible!
Bummed i missed it for work but now I can enjoy thanks yall
Wow. MASSIVE DRUM SOUND. Thanks for the video....
My prog band is about to start tracking our demo/record and this video has been a godsend.
0:47 "you loud bastard" is the funniest shit i saw today
This was awesome. Now need new album please!!!!!
Top tip to the drummer: - I traded my Roland td50`s in for a Roland VAD506 with the added new digital hh. Main points:
-Tom-hotspots gone(three cones, no center cone) That was really a problem when toms reached 127 because Ive hit the middle of the drum and have to edit them all after recording.
-hihat is finally 14" and is much more detailed in the velocity-department
-The crashes are 16" and 50% thinner and bends when U hit them
-It looks like a real kit with real sizes.
To me, the vad506/706 kits is the next generation hardware compared to the old td50k/kv/kvx.
That snare room is deeeelectible my guy.
Love it! Can you please share the sd3 preset..? Would love to try it with my e-kit
How about you use what you can learn in these videos to make your own...?
we are living in the future
Can't wait for the new album !
Perfection 👌
This is the future
Actually this is the present
Tesseract! 🤌
This is awesome :D
Waheeeey let’s go
Dude i love this shit
What's it with any live thing through internet, tho? When you test the setup it works flawlessly, but when you're doing the live day checking out, nothing works lol
Awesome video!
Please preset
How are you able to mix remotely in two locations with 0 latency? that's actually insane. would love to do this with my band. I'm assuming I'd only need to purchase SD once and we shared an account or something? This is my first VST so would love some help. Love you guys
I think he is controling drummers laptop/cubase with any remote control software (teamviewer / chrome remote) and he gets the audio with plugin for remote listening ( audiomovers).
@@RenanBEreanSound The built in windows remote desktop is the best imo from what I have found. It uses like no bandwidth. Passthrough audio and video is great. Extremely low latency because it levereges built in windows API's to control the mouse/windows rather than actually streaming video.
@@DannyR121 Thanks bro. I'm gonna try it!
How are you not getting latency halfway across the world?
BUFALINA!
Cannot wait for T5!!!
That's a great idea. Are you the first to record live drums over different places?
A New Album would be great ❤️🤘🏽❤️
awesome, good work. could you please share the preset?
2:23:50 best part 😂
🙏🙏🙏🙏
pls explanation of the setup up to link session remotely. what and how is been transmitted. 🤘🤘🤘
put "audiomovers" on the channel you want to send to someone else, typically the master bus.
then the "receiver" connects to the same IP address server thingy soo they can stream the audio.
How do you both do a remote session together in Cubase?
Teamviewer
I supposed to learn a lot, this level is is almost max lol. there is a level block
😍
When acle says the snare is in tune with the song. Is that s in the fundemental is the same as the root key or just in the same key as the guitar.
I'm a guitarist not a drummer so Im curious he meant :)
I think the fundamental. Just the root note of the song
please some one explain about the latency?
There's something hidden here. I have the same kit, same layers and the same bus, but SINCE THE BEGINNING the kit sounds a lot better, more fuller, more equalized, more compressed, with much more low end. Am I wrong?
Did you lower the volumes significantly and use a nice compressor to bump the output? Then back it off as you start working the mix?
How much for that presettttttt? ;)
Come on guys, share the preset as it's already there :)
Well guys this is amazing for starters! I'm not a huge fan of the band, although I do like your music and appreciate it...point is this video drew me in so I'll be checking out more of your shit because of it!
Go last album abbey road version
That constant metronome is obnoxious
stop old songs, play new album please
Patience
@@AcleKahney maaaaaate. Make this preset available either to buy or free, whichever you choose and we will buy. This sounds unreal, and all in the superior interface. Amazing work.
@@AcleKahney how do you get such low latency triggering 3rd party software in real-time? I've been on the phone to Roland support for 2 days and they keep telling me that there is no way to get latency free triggering, and that I need to track with the boring module sounds then re-trigger in post if I want a low latency performance.
@@stanp5246 They lie! I'm not entirely sure though as its Jay who has set that up. All I know is that he has a low buffer size, like 64 or 128. So the latency he has should only be a few ms i imagine.
@@AcleKahney yeah, i don't even play drums but with good edrums and low buffer size you can get very usuable latency!
Question though for Acle for the "volume" couldn't you use a gain plugin post compressor to boost your volume on the master, after the processing....the standard Cubase gain plugin....forget what it's called as I usually use PT...(which I hate)?
This is awesome. It would be interesting for you to post a before and after Jay of your prior stock setup to what it sounds like now. That would really drive home the importance of what was done.
Pro tip: hold down shift as you drag sliders in Superior Drummer 3 for fine tuned adjustment
If this became a preset for sale, I'd definitely pick it up. Cheers!
You want to buy someone elses drum sound...? How far do you think you'll get with that...?
@@mymodel6 I get plenty far by mixing accordingly lol Ever heard of sample packs?
@@mymodel6they literally make preset mixes inside SDX packs for a reason my dude. Nothing wrong with using presets as a jumping off point or as a live kit preset.
Wow can you show your workflow for other instruments for Dystopia? I really enjoyed the whole 2+ hours and that's me being a guitar player mixing occasionally at home :) Love it!
nail the mix!! acle mixed juno on that site :)
Will you guys make this available as a preset ?
As someone who's still learning to mix in SD3 and using it for my live e-drumming, this video is a goldmine.
When he tweaked the Room booth mics for the snare it was an insane difference, definitelly keeping that in mind. (starts at around @50:40)
I have this SDX and it´s great. I also use a roland 25kv to trigger. Even with the added benefit of snare triggering on this model, I still can´t get the exact dynamics I am looking for (even after dailing in the settings. Nothing beats a real kit in that case. But never the less, it´s an amazing plug in!
oh plz share or sell tis preset , realy love this !
1:05:25 meshugga bleed
lovely
Sounds amazing!
Crazy what you can do inside the software where not many people go searching..
Awesome stuff! Any chance to release this preset?
3 squared x 2 squared x 2 squared 💜
incredible result, please send me the sd preset
Do you sell just the guitar and bass tracks?
Awesome!
Lol i love being a 🤓 geek.
Ay-clay and Jay? What a good day!
Love it! Thank you guys!
now you get that awesome sound right out of the box with GGD drum samples ahahahha
The reason I went with SD3 over GGD lol.. the customization for it to fit whatever track you want and genre. Plus there are more articulations in SD3..
And can you explain "HOW" you have everything set up? What program are you using to control Jay's computer, or is it one of those web browser programs/apps? And how can I set things up to work this way if I've got no idea how to pull this off?
