I can't understand how grow lights pricing has gone sky high. I get it more efficient means less wattage and less money but with simple calculation similar COB led lights or other not so efficient white led grow lights are a fraction of the price with similar results and you can keep the difference for paying the extra wattage for 10 years leaving you free to upgrade after a few years. Thank you sir. Finally got the review I’ve been waiting for. I purchased the Gavita 1700e Pro when they were first released in October 2019. They are pricey but they are great. Shout to Roy in the Netherlands as he is an excellent asset to the Gavita team. Only issue I have with the light is that Hawthorne have their hands involved and the North American Division of Gavita (Hawthorne runs) is horrible. Very very poor customer service. I tried dealing with them and it was like fighting a brick wall. Roy however is amazing. Thanks again Shane, looking forward to many more videos by you. Peace

i would love to see someone do a test of the Rayonled GLMF720. Because up until now everything is hearsay. I am a on the fence HPS to LED grower. I have been growing now for nearly 25 years and while I see that people have been getting good results with LED, I still feel that LED is not there yet... almost and very close but maybe another year or 2 or 3 away from beating HPS. I have been learning and reading about different LED lighting companies over the past 3-4 years and there is not really much that would make me drop the big bucks and transition over to LED until now. Now before I get into anything if you must know about my expertise with HPS I am a 2 to 2.4 gram per watt grower (strain depending of course). However the only LED lights that seem to be worthy of any attention are: 1. This Gavita 1700e 2. Fluence SPYDR 2P 47" 3. Photontek XT 1000w CO2 Pro 4. Rayonled GLMF720. And according to my most recent conversations of those 4 lights the Rayonled GLMF720 supposedly yielded 20% when finished on independent studies for a cannabis test grow and they were ultimately awarded the contract for lighting beating out the other 3 lights.
Id like to see you do the review of the Sonlipo SPL 2000 or 3000. Its a bar light samsung 301lmb . The 3000 looks to smash a 5×5. Got a built in timer dimmer and veg and flower dimmer. 269$ for the 2000 or 349 for SPL 3000.. Or the sideking replica of the 6 bar ROI.
@@jaimedelgado7529 UV has been shown to stress cannabis into producing more resin and cannabinoids, however I don't think it should be incorporated into a fixture. This should be done at the growers discretion with additional fixtures. An ideal light would apply the maximum amount of photons possible (with a good spectrum) to drive photosynthesis as much as possible and not create any additional stresses. Most growers will already have a hard enough time trying to harness the light these vertical fixtures give off without their plants experiencing stress.
@@rustinpeace7466 that's your opinion and I respect it. although I have a different philosophy. I'm quite practical. why buy two seperate fixtures when u can get one that does both jobs? if I want I can cover up my uv diodes. it doesn't hurt my utility bill that much. since u know your lights could u recommend a cheap uv supplementation fixture like you're speaking of so I can have a look at specs/ price? cheers man
@@jaimedelgado7529 if I were to go with UV LEDs I would probably choose the horticulture lighting group UVA supplement bar. However I've heard UV LEDs are not very long-lived so I would more than likely choose a fluorescent fixture with UV bulbs.
Peace
Nice one Steve. Thanks for the message
I have 6 of these lights. How far apart should I have these from edge to edge to cover a 16x11 room?
I was getting everything from 6inch to 12 inch from edge to edge.
Go with how your plants look and adjust them, there’s no telling really just see how the plants like it I guess
It literally says 5x5 per light for flower
Is there only one gavita 1700e? I’m seeing titles as 1700e and pro 1700e wondering if it’s same thing?
What Samsung diodes do these use?? I can't find anything anywhere
Good Review.. Still say Gavita is the best..
These led lights reguire several cables and an adapter, several hundred dollars.
Hi Migro please I really need your help before I spend my money I’m planing to fro in 3x3 meter tent on alien pro 55lt 6 pot RDWC system and I’m looking for lights atm I’m looking for the lumatek zeus 600 pro but the gavita 1700e came up, what would you recommend the price of gavita its nearly double of the lunatek.
If I get gavita would it have a big different from the lumatek?
Please let me know
Do you need the adapter to daisy chain two fixtures together?
To control them and dim them yes. They do not daisy chain any other way. It is not from the power cord. It’s like an old telephone cable
Phone cable on controller is smaller than the plug for the e series adapter phone cable? Not plug and play do I need something else
Will that migro light be good for a 2x3 or better for a 4x4?
1.5m X 1.5m
Oh mate Michigan Cody saw your name after I commented. Recently acquired a Gavita 1700e. Been looking through your vids dude.
Jonathan Southward oh wow thanks. After watching my videos I need to get a better camera. Picture quality sucks but love the Gavita 1700e puts out great spectrum and had a good first run ever with it.
Which is better this or the think grow model H?
Where does the hlg 650r compare to this light?
looking forward to that vipar xs review
Very good test as usual, on this channel (y). But, i would like to ask, if you are going to test the "new" Lumatek ATTIS - better 300W version maybe... Thx and keep making tests like this, its very useful! :)
Whats better this or the growcraft chilled tech!
Hi can you please do a review on the new gavita rs 1900
This is a great light but heavy on the wallet. I cant wait to get my new array light in I'm gonna put your light to the ultimate yield test hopefully I can go from .73 gpw to over a gram per watt.
I’ve seen people do 2g/watt al day long with this light! How’d it do on your test?
@@realife4104 terrible I have ran 3 runs of the same strain 3 times and the results are less that a 175w fiet light from home depot. Buy a Mars sp 3000 for the same price you will be doing way better with that then this piece of junk
@@closettotable9253 that’s disappointing lol I’ve had this sitting in my cart for like 2 weeks trying to decide… it was between this, a Mars 3000, and the SF4000 anyway though. Thanks for the heads up
If you can afford it buy a spider farmer I have a friend that has 1 and he is harvesting bat sized nugs
@@closettotable9253 what lol
The wonderful rided light give such a bad yield?
Thats true?
What array 2 , 3 or 4?
💡🌱👍🏾🥇Migro King Man.
How about invisible sun??
any reviews or testing.
How often do they have to be replaced
Having issues could you please let me know if you connecting cord is rj9 to rj45? Can’t find the cable from master controller to adapter any help would be appreciated and yes I’ve contacted GAVITA no response
Same what's up
Do the OpticLED Slim 650s 😃
i would love to see someone do a test of the Rayonled GLMF720.
I've been growing 25 years too and LED are blowing away HPS 2 fold. HID lights are dinosaur outdated crap.
Only thing that I don’t like is that you have to buy those controller adapters for every led of you wanna use any type of master controller
Can you test the pacific light concepts 16 strip photoboost.
We all wanna see the geekbeast pro test shane :/
Plenty of other good LED's out there for much cheaper. Let's skip the Gavita (aka Hawthorne) and support better companies.
am I seeing right? no uv ? 2:28
that's unacceptable
From what I understand you don't need a lot of wattage to get the desired effects.
@@jaimedelgado7529 uv leds have extreme short lifespan
Witch is better gavita or fluence spydr
How does it compare to gavita de 1000watt?
That's very nice to nice I can only buy affordable so bloom plus but hope u grow some 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
So what is the hours life span expectation of the Gavita 1700e LED's?
100,000 hours

Could you do a Test of the New Mars Hydro FC Series ?
They ain't out in Europe as of yet.. October so they reckon. I msgd mars Hydro lol.
Yes please I thinking about buying mars hydro fc 4800
@@phillroberts7798 Thanks, good to know that. I just saw one American Guy unboxing the FC 4800, so i thought they would be available here by now, too.
Don't get me wrong. We can have them shipped from China. But you might as well double the price. Its like £300 for shipping. I seen them also and wanted one. Was very disappointed when I found out they ain't here until October..
compair this to the lux 645 led pro two less bars and higher output from what ive seen
i think gavita missed a trick the size of the box it comes in and you cant take it apart the lumatek i think is much better great work witht he video
so if you want the controller you also have to buy the adapter?
Great video thanks! I’ve always wondered about those unique heatsinks on the gavita
Would love to see you test Optic LED Slim 600.

Better than the Zeus 600 pro?
Certainly not on price. Would much rather the Zeus pro or 2 Attis 300w
Do you really have to run these lights for 100 hours straight
You are just the best
Is the Controller included with the Light?
No
Have you or will you be reviewing the 2000e version? Seems not real world info on these units🤷♂️
