The Ridley vs Sora MU has given me lifetime chronic PTSD. My daughter said "take this" when offering me a cupcake and I froze like I'd seen a ghost. My wife had to escort me to the living room and I spent the next several hours curled up while my fingers wildly tried to SmashDI an imaginary controller.
It takes a lot of work to time these, think more players would play Sora if this was easy lol 😂 I just got back into Smash recently (after couple years off) only have a few hours as Sora and can’t properly execute this stuff, even after watching tutorials and practicing it, easy to mess up. Probably I’ll need like 50 hours -100+ to get actually decent with Sora. I just play Homura/Hikari because they are easy for me to learn and I like the variety in switching between them lol I don’t mind running into Soras online, get them on occasions rarely, generally easier to predict than a lot of characters. I don’t like running into Samus or players that are snipers and just run away a lot, it’s annoying chasing them around 😂
Thank you so much again Izaw! Been an honor working with you. Watched your Art of vids since 2016, and never thought I’d see the day where I would be in your video, let alone with my childhood character that I didn’t know would be in Smash, but was lucky enough to have. You the goat man. Much love 🔑🖤
Been maining Sora since day 1 and to this day I still can't get more than a single... loop of nair loops going. Practiced to hell and back but just can't get it consistently, which stinks because I do preform well with him at my locals and such and this would really elevate things. Might just try to force myself to learn this again.
I may not be a Sora player but I've practiced technical combos with a character for 2 years straight and couldn't get them consistently until I changed my perspective on practicing. It worked for me personally but idk if it would help you as much. When I was practicing I would try going for long hours into training mode and just rinse and repeat all of my combos hoping I would get more consistent. It did work of course, but only to some extent. Even though I had been practicing for a long time and got a bit of stuff down I still felt like there was a roadblock I came across that didn't allow me to get more consistent without dropping them all the time randomly and I was unsatisfied and a bit frustrated. And then after some time after a bit of experimenting I realized the one thing I did wrong was to keep grinding the combos without understanding the foundation of how the combos work and what I was struggling with _specifically._ It was the jump timing of the combos that I had kept dropping over and over and struggled with I realized. Once I had assessed the problem I tried simply practicing the jump timing alone instead of the combos as a whole and trying to experiment with different ways to get my fingers more comfortable with doing the jump timing. After finding a way to drill it in more consistently, I felt more confident about what I was doing and got the combos down more consistently. *Tldr: When you're practicing, understand what specific part(s) of a combo you struggle with or feel unstable with inputting and then experiment with different ways to get those individual inputs down more cleanly and more comfortably with your fingers than just focusing on the whole combo altogether. When you come back to the combo later, you may find that it feels easier to put together the whole thing after getting the muscle memory down of the part(s) you keep messing up in the whole combo.*
@AlastairBL means a lot man! I have actually watched your videos on it, it's part of the reason I can at least get a loop going to begin with, lol. Gotten lessons from the likes of Danish and Nakat at a couple of points. Definitely still have things to work on that aren't loops, I'm definitely not perfect.

@@Marsdend1 most low level players just spam it when in disadvantage. So if you are slightly off on a combo timing, you'll be eating 18 damage for sure. It's really not that bad tbh. Just get better at not over extending on strings and hard calling it out. A lot of moves in this game are deceptively safe of shield, this being one of them. The third hit is -43 on shield on SSBU Frame data.. but that is when the tip of the hit box hits you in its first active frame. The move is active for a long long time, so odds are that ain't happening. But as a punish, it's honestly not a great punishment tool considering you could do the combo in this video instead for a kill...
I punish Soras that do that move to me often, it’s not ideal if you know the range since there’s lots of vulnerabilities, pretty easy to shield block and then Smash them or do anything you want. Unless Sora is too close to you then it’s harder to predict, generally I space out a little more against Sora to gauge for that move. I used to play as Sora so I know what to look for sometimes.
An informative Izaw video that isnt an art of? Man i love it Not to say i hate the art of series - i love it. I just find this release quite refreshing.
Art of Simon and Richter when :’( in all seriousness, love your content and I go back to your videos when I need character info all the time. Keep up the good work!
It's good to know that as someone who now mains and labbed Sora, I pretty much came across mostly everything showcased by myself. Except the fireball into noops. Didn't know firaga has that much hitstun. I will say, random comment reader, this combo by no means makes Sora a high-top tier. I still believe he's a mid tier as he really struggles in a ton of match ups, but noops are a fun combo to learn and at least mastering 1-2 loops is pretty much essential to the character.
Great vid! I was always confused when I saw sora’s using nair combos so this helped a lot! Also I think art of pit/dark pit could be good for another art of video.
around 80 hours put into sora and STILL cannot pull off these nair loops with any degree of consistency. I preform well with just the fundys but cant incorporate the loops in my play.
Its really weird seeing soro vs sepheroth. There both fromn differnt games entirely, But its not the first time they met, but its in a fighting game neither of them have any reason being in to begin with It would be like seeing mario and sonic duking it out in Street fighter
Steve, Sora, and Kazuya give me the most horrid memories of playing Smash4 against Bayonetta. This is a bad thing btw. Combos like this should not be in a platform fighter.

someone make this the new copypasta for any time sora is mentioned
I'm also a Ridley main. Relatable. Always feels good to beat a Sora.
Honestly yeah- oh no I triggered him again
Cap u ain’t got no damn wife or kid now if u would’ve said cats I would’ve believed you

Love this
I can't wait for a TAS AI tournament featuring a Sora AI.
Good to see Sora gets to keep his Kingdom hearts combos just like a Bayonetta got to bring her combos from her game.
Yeah and ganondorf
Thank god it's not KH2 Sora
Sora is the biggest Luigi in the game, and Lucina is the most Wolf. Any objections?
"No, no, he's got a point."
An Indigo dub I see
Nah cloud is the most wolf
No no no. Luigi is the biggest Kazuya, Kazuya is the biggest Luigi, and Sora is Brawl MK and Pikachu’s love child
Bro wolf mains randomly throwing out a random and unoptimal usmash that hits across the stage and kills at 60% has been the death of me so many times

Dude u know Alastairvlbl? That's awesome.
i think people are sleeping on sora, the sora players just haven't had time to develop as much as other characters
It's been 3 years man, people are just sleeping on him.
Not even gonna mention how broken of a move side special is… I think that move is an outstanding punish tool
How so?
@@Marsdend1it can be difficult to punish

My friend up smashes me out of the first hit consistently. It is an agonizingly slow move to become active
Great to see more Sora content! It's great that acharacter that didn't seem that complex has a lot of sauce!
they should give cutscene combos to snake so he's more lore-accurate
He needs one that lasts for 70 minutes so he maintains his legacy of "longest cutscene in gaming"

7:45 finally a W for Mewtwo😂
Open the window, luther.
Sora combos are pretty to watch and scary

Ive only seen one sora do this in tournament ever and he was styling on a very outclassed shulk player
3:54 wait isn’t rage at 100 to 150%
With the smoke effects as well
0:36 deserved for playing Roy
agreed
This is by far. By farrrrrr. The best Sora idj video explained and I’ve seen them
All. Thank you.

I wanted to see this a while back, but thanks for the video! I’ll have to get back into Smash to practice some of what you mention here ❤

I wish there were more top level Soras
I wanna see a Meta Knight showcase now cuz he's also a cutscene character

hmm, i'm thinking you've never had a falco turn your life into a movie about your death
too many times
Noops are so ugly D:
Ars Arcanum if it was by Goofy
As a floaty what should I press during a noop?
Finally my main sora is getting some love.
making a video about Sora's advanced combo game without mention Limon at LEAST once is some crazy work wtf actually mad disrespectful
The last thing we need is more sora players, But I would love to see what you could do with this for Mii brawler Terry or Kazuya
Would love to eventually see an Art of Sora video someday 😊
As a Ganon, I Warlock Punch through their N-air loops. What's the Sora gonna do, wait and punish? Pssh!
Wow, my hands hurt just watching this!
Sora is the GOAT!!
Too bad he’s underrepresented in tournaments.
@@AndoMDfr hes really underrated
@ Because he’s just designed terribly haha. I love playing him but I know he’s a lot harder than someone else
Yessir my goat Alastairbl!!!
Good vid, as always. Also similar to kameme's instructional sora vid
okay thumbnail!!! let’s go izaw
What if you don’t have the mod pack?
It's also for players who REALLY don't want friends
I’m labbing this character now. I need a better character than K Rool. Loved KH so why not ?
are Link’s bomb nair loops easier or harder timing wise?
As a lab rat, i'd say they're considerable easier, still tricky tho.
if I really wanted to hate myself, I would actually lab this...
best I can do is 2 loops lol
IzAwSmash??? Is this the smash Wii U link player !!!
god i love playing smash bros on my ps4 controller it's my favourite
Yooo my goat Alastair
Oh so its just smash 4 ryu reskined
Time to learn sora😈
thanks izaw
Mashallah brother

These loops were not that difficult. If you know how to IDJ they work load is taken off significantly
I’m going to become the best Lucas player in the world one day
How do you escape noops vs Sora?
these characters are kind of the reason I quit this game even tho I was quite successful
also how incredibly campy this game is, genuinely so lame
How’s your day
mid
I will never forgive Nintendo for not putting hurt boxes on his damn clown shoes.... Unreal.
Sora is literally top 12
how are people playing smash nowadays? on switch or pc? yuzu isn't a thing anymore right? someone help me
Most are playing on switch but playing on PC is also a possibility it's just unbelievably inconvenient now
Yooooo!
