I have the 2022 Goldwing; however, it’s a Trike and my TPMS light is always on because i don’t have the rear sensor. I put the Fobo sensors on the Trike and now before I ride, I check my tire pressures from inside the house. Great purchase item, I’m putting them on my enclosed trailer.
I 100% agree. I'm 1yr into owning my first motorcycle 2k1 Goldwing. When I saw the fobo I immediately purchased it. About 30-45 days later I had a screw in yhe rear tire. It went off immediately when the pressure fell below the 4 lbs I had preset. I was 40 miles from home. I highly recommend everyone to purchase them. I bought my uncle a set for his trike. Now I just purchased a trailer and watching this, I'm going to purchase another set for it. Thanks.
Great video and exactly what i needed as a 2005 Goldwing owner. I kept getting paranoid about my tire pressure as i hear a lot of pops as i ride around due to gravel on the awful Australian roads. I'll get a fobo based on your recommendation. Thank you, Chris, from Queensland, Australia!
After having a three hole tire failure on a front Dunlop in 2022, I am paranoid now about tires. I didn’t have any TPMS at the time, but I do now along with several other tire rescue things in my Panier. I cannot imagine not having this. That failure was the scariest thing to happen to me on a bike and I don’t plan on it ever happening again.
Hey Chris! Because of your battery changing video, I ordered a set of FOBO2’s & a set of T-Valves (for future mounting) for the’05 which doesn’t even have the idiot light system. Looking forward to installing with my spring maintenance. Thanks for the two videos on this important safety feature!!
Caliente Inc. The brand. Has sparked and set into motion Gold Wing fever like no other. Like FOBO, a TPMS monitoring system giving PSI info in real time. Excellent job brother. Now lets’s ride! More in 24.
I've had FOBO's for three years Chris. Agree with everything you outlined. I would add that the OEM TPMS' require me on my 19 to drive the bike a distance before I see a reading. TCOGS says check air pressure before driving. So you can turn around and return home to adjust pressure or go to a non-existing service station with an air hose or use your portable inflator. FOBO can show the need before driving off. Please add the cost of reprogramming the new OEM sensors when replaced. I was quoted one hour labor just for the programming So you $800 for both new sensors is right on. The only thing I could not solve is finding a T valve stem so I can adjust pressure without removing the FOBO sensors. I've not seen anyone video this solution, I e remove OEM sensors, find and install a new T valve stem, and deprogram the 18 plus to not throw a code for no OEM found. Waiting to see what the 18 plus guage displays when a OEM sensor dies. 👍🏼😎
Great video on a topic important to many Goldwing riders! Do you know what the dealership did to dis-able your TPMS? I would rather pull a fuse that cut wires.
good Idea for after market I have 2022 and you need to ride for some time to get new up to date tire pressure. Mine comes on almost every time intel they worm up. Or you over fill buy a 1 lb. I set hem cold but you need to ride in order to get Realtime reading. thanks for the video I will look into getting the FoBo tire sensor....
No one has said they have had their factory unit stop working because of the battery. I’d hate this to happen as it would be very inconvenient to get it replaced. The fobo seems like the best solution for sure! Thanks for your advice on so many items. Keep up the good work!
Hi Chris, my 2024 Honda Africa Twin has Apple CarPlay, just ordered the FOBO rider 2, as it supports apple CarPlay and you can view the app on the bike screen and more importantly, it will show a notification pop up if there are any sudden tyre issues while riding. Game changer for Africa Twin owners who want TPMS on their bikes and see it on the dash. 👍 Chris, can I ask why and how you have your Cardo Edge mounted on the handlebars, and not on the helmet? Have you managed to get coms the helmet without having the Edge stuck to the side of your helmet? Cheers.
Seems like this is very good for the previous gen goldwings. One thing you could do is to have the dealer change the battery every tire change. For me atleast, it seems like the only advantage would be that I can “skip” that part when doing tclocs. Just look at the phone and I don’t have to get on the ground.
So Chris, can you have the dealership disconnect the oem tps on your '21...or will you just wait until it goes down and have them disconnect it then. I guess if it just goes blank there is nothing to worry about.
Yo Chris...what is the make and model of your tire changer please? BTW...a big bunch of us are going to Daytona for Bike Week next week. Come on...lets go and meet us out there.
Yes my dealership wanted that much even when I was having my tires changed. No discounts. So, I don't have TPMS on my 2012. Just the light shining in the dash. Grrr
In my case they had to replace the Smart Control Unit of my 2023 GW because the TPMS didn’t work at delivery. I ended up with two new keys because of this.
I'd love it if the industry just lost the TPMS altogether and let us source our own cheaper and easier to maintain systems. Toyota wanted 180 dollars for each sensor when one failed. Now i have a light on my dash contantly or pay their exhorbitant rates.

My Fobo 2 come in today. I order because of your review to put on my 02 GW.
It's worth every penny!

Chris for me I appreciate the things you share 🙏. I live in Arkansas safe travels. ARKANSAS Badlands
Thanks for the info Chris - jealous its still in the 30s here in Maine. You are a the best!
Great video, but man... I'm glad I didn't have to drink every time you said "Honda Goldwing"
Have a 2015 wing that kicks between tmsp and low tire given ride temps.

Chris I have a 2014 I have changed the batteries in my TPMS sensor there's a video on UA-cam tell you how to do it
Nice video Chris. When you installed the FOBO on your trailer, did you install a T valve stem as well?
I did not because I wanted to keep the shorty style valve stems.
Me too
@@chriscaliente5033 ok. Thank you.
Don't forget putting them on your trailer as well
What can I unplug on my 2012 Goldwing to get the TPMS light to go off.I have a problem, not low air pressure, just want to turn light out ....

As I said in the video dealership only replace the sensor not the battery because the sensors are sealed.
I have a 2019 dct tour, and my tpms stays on until I ride for a while. Could it be the batter in the tpms.

Hey Chris how long should the batteries last in my 2013 ? My TPMS light comes on!
I have the FOBO2 on My Goldwing and my CBR1000RR.

I highly recommend Wingstuff.com here is the link. wingstuff.com/products/38296-fobo-bike-2-bluetooth-tpms-silver
