    I'm working on writing a bass clarinet solo for my friend to premiere at ClarinetFest this year and this was super helpful, thanks!

      That's amazing! I'm so happy that this content is helpful! And I would love to hear the solo once it's out, please let me know once the performance is done if there will be a link to it!

    Thanks Luca for a very useful video! I am working on a piece, and would like to know what is the dynamic range that one can play the Didgeridoo technique in. Thanks in advance for your answer :)

    I just purchased a bass clarinet (I played it years ago and took a long break) and I love all the techniques you mention here! I also used to play the didgeridoo but the circular breathing comes and goes for me, and I lost interest. So I am most excited to incorporate didge styles with the bass clarinet like you demonstrated here. Along with the slap sounds. I just want to get back to feeling musically inspired and your tips here help a lot, thank you!

    Great content, thank you very much! A little suggestion: it would be great if you could include some notation examples for us composers.

    Hello ! What side key are you pressing for the broken harmonics ?

    • @lucabbordonaro
      @lucabbordonaro  5 місяців тому

      Hi! In the examples I am playing low notes (G-F#-F) and adding the first side key from the bottom (the D# one).
      Did you try it? 🔥

    My favorite was the multiphonics! Curious who the bass clarinetist is who said he never repairs his instrument. Is he one of the listed players in the description?

      Multiphonics can be very challenging but such a cool color!
      Unfortunately they asked to be kept private, but with those references listed in the description you can find some crazy bass clarinet playing!
