Absolutely an amazing country singer. Anita is one of the few traditionalists around! I could listen to her all day. Country radio needs to wake up and get back to what country music is really all about. Thank you Marty for introducing me to Anita.
Anita is the real deal. I did the bass and background vocals on her first album, The Color Of Blue. She recorded it at the Menagerie Studios in Saylorsburg. I was called to do the bass as the original tracks weren't right. I didn't meet Anita till I listened to the vocals. When I met her I couldn't believe that voice was in this little lady. She is a greatsinger and entertainer.
I wish there was more from her. Her voice is exceptional and in the style that true country fans are so hungry for. Distinctive and soulful. Thank you DIRKWORKS2 for sharing this.
I came across this beautiful lady a couple of weeks ago,she is now my favorite singer. She has a fantastic voice and she is a great performer. I would love to hear her sing some more old country songs, her Gospel songs are just brilliant. Anita if you read this you are just one beautiful lady.We love you.
Superlatives not only great musicians but also nice harmonize with many artists. Great band of guys. A good country TV show still from Nashville. mosrite60
There are many versions of this song Anita's version is by far the best glad someone is keeping real country music alive very good looking woman and a class singer Maurice Waterford Ireland
Certainly glad to hear another very good traditional country singer, really appreciated by me so much more than the jump'n vanilla cookie cutter variety so many of the teeny bopper crowd seems to flock to.
I never fail to understand how Marty Robbins didn't record this song, after all it was written by his longtime steel guitarist Bill Johnson. Having got that off my chest, I just want to say how much I enjoyed Anita's version and that band is truly superlative!
I feel very blessed that I had the opportunity to play lead guitar and vocals for Anita several years back. Something I will cherish for years to come. She is one talented little girl that loves to keep traditional Country Music alive. Such a sweet girl with a sweet voice 💕
Not to sound weird but I've always liked the smile on the bass players face. You can tell that not only is he a great player and singer, he also knows how to work the crowd. It shows to me, that he is seasoned in the business and is confident in what he is doing...and enjoying it.
ive seen this lady she is great, should have more cridit.this as good a version of stonewalls song ive ever heard.matter of fact after listening to her im doing on my shows. thanks for post.
Marty Stuart is a very very humble and wonderful personality. A great guy and love to watch him perform and also get the others on his show. Pray that he will always be blessed
I think Anita's voice is reminiscent of Connie Smith who introduced her. The song written by Bill Johnson who was Marty Robbins steel guitarist; was turned down by Marty for some unfathomable reason when you check on a list of top Nashville names that DID record it.

Connie Smith, this is strange. To me she sounds like you. Connie, you have always been a favorite of mine.

That steel guitar 😭
YOU MADE A FOOL OF ME FOR 30 YEARS
Wow! I’m embarrassed I wasn’t familiar with Anita until recently I heard her sing with Gene Watson and thought it was the queen Connie Smth at first!
Reminds me of Connie's voice.
Is this Bill Anderson daughter?
Conway Twitty did this song..
The girl can flat take care of business. Too bad she's so hard to look at.
