Everyone always wanted Borderless-Stickers and now I want stickers with borders again
Borderless is a better option imo.

@@Seeking_Humility Its really not. What incentive does a teams fan have to buy their new sticker if it looks like the one they have from 3 years ago. Soulless stickers. You can look at the older bordered ones and remember the experience of that major. Since the new ones look exactly the same you just dont get that feeling anymore.

I would partially disagree, in my personal case since im Lithuanian jL stickers are absolutely worth it and I love the fact that the first Lithuanian to ever lift up the Major trophy has his footprint left in CS in a form of a sticker. And I am not the only one, for Romanians iM situation is the same and aleksib winning a Major is special. Also we have to admit that the Copenhagen stickers have a change in their holo stickers which are worse than the previous three borderless Major sticker designs.

their price was getting out of hand so valve artificially destroyed their value with adding antwerp and most importantly paris stickers .
paris stickers really killed stockholms - my storage of stockholm holos went from 2,5K to 500 over one night ...

@@darkglobe406 I was so close to make a fortune from stockholms, but now it seems like pointless to hold on them, 4 sets of borderless team stickers in a row really made it boring
the holos are not the same, the color pattern is different and its a personal taste choice for everyone (some say Paris is better, some say Stockholm)
@@darkglobe406they didn’t necessarily do it because of the price of the stickers. Valve doesn’t care about that, they did it because they were generating way more revenue with borderless stickers. The reason the older bordered stickers are so expensive is because they were under bought when they released, valve seen the amount they were making off borderless, and decided they want to milk out the borderless stickers

I spent my whole life wishing we'd get some cheap borderless stickers so we could get the classy designs that would cost thousands of dollars before. Now that we got them, I almost exclusively make crafts with older stickers, as their borders are just more unique and hold a greater appreciation for the teams and tournaments you enjoyed.

The biggest issue i see is not only that we get copy/paste stickers but the lenght of them being in SALE is ATROCIOUS ! We might have stickers on sale few weeks before next-major is about to start for first time ! Valve is getting too greedy i hope this backfires to them. Same for cases with renting, collection cases which will be in sale for years etc.

I’ve been playing CS since 2012 and to think that there was an entire community/world happening while the game was being molded to what it is today is mind blowing. i was super skeptical about paris investments from the very beginning, so i didnt join the train of investors, which was the best decision i made, now i buy for super discount :)
So much of this analysis is correct. My main criticism is the fact that higher quality stickers in Copenhagen capsule are quite different from the Stockholm, Antwerp and Paris. They may do better than Paris in terms of profitability in the short term. I mean if they only rise to 30 cents/pence per capsule, who can say no to a 25% profit compared to the sale price!

what about investing in operation stickers? for example the foil and non-foil gold web stickers? when they get scraped they only leave a white or golden spider also there is not so many of them, they are very useful for crafts
Valve should start to do weapons skin for each team participating in a major that'd be fun, first for the unique skins and second for which team get which skin based on how they did in the major :)
u cooked with this one. I had the opportunity and the knowledge to invest in majors as early as krakow, but never took the plunge. And that is something that I always regret.

I dont think sticker investing is dead. I feel like We're in a bit of a skins shortage right now where theres not many more new skins being released. If valve finally starts releasing new skins as often as they did in CSGO demand for stickers will also be substantially higher. theres also more stickers than just the major ones you talked about. Im personally still very fond of the riptide stickers long term, and battle scarred stickers also look nice, albeit maybe a bit overinvested in since broken fang had a ton of hype surrounding it when it released

There are a few bordered stickers that look good in cs. All they have to do is not be lazy and make something that looks good with a good holo effect and it will be bought.

I Agree with your take at the end where many people buying the capsules causes it to be unprofitable, so I think the new meta is gonna be good looking operations stickers e.g Great wave holo, my friend made a 4x craft with them a while back and the stickers combined cost 40$ (if unapplied) on his usp-s whiteout
Look at the 2021 operation patches they are going up up
Next operation stickers won't do good because of this, we reached critical mass of investors in 2023 and they all saw how well 2021 riptide did. They for sure will ruin potential of upcoming op items.

@@gj3514 The thing is I have had a look at the comments of similar investing videos, and the majority of these guys are like newbies that don't even have a basic comprehension of the market and are looking for advice on where to spend their extra funds. The thing with riptide is that there were many things to invest in which lead to some items being overlooked such as patches.
My strategy is to literally invest in the the overlooked stuff that these types of videos don't cover. I made a lot from cases because back then people were focused on investing in capsules rather than the case market even though it had more potential for growth. I mean iv bought a decent amount of wildfire cases at 0.2 and now they are 2$

I have a feeling Copenhagen will finally be the death of these borderless sticker releases, might just be copium but it seems most of the market is fatigued of these designs too and it won't sell anywhere near as well as Paris. Especially since people were burned by Paris, alot of investors won't return for this major. There's no reason they couldn't pull another Rio where they try a bordered design and immediately return to borderless, but either way I'm hopeful for the perfect world major at the end of the year.
so far the prices for high tier items are lower than they were for paris, likely the interest in these items have gone down. One can hope but it's hard to say

@@simtelefon The holo effect is worse in most stickers, but Copenhagen ones still look cleaner and more professional, if you know what I mean. Paris with it's major text under each sticker and it's color palette in most stickers looks very cheap imo

When the Antwerp stickers came out, i was instantly disappointed, same fuckin soulless design, was actually one of the few that liked Rio stickers when they came out, because they werent repeats of the past few years (and because i like flowers), been crazy seeing people genuinely excited about the same sticker design almost 4 majors in a row, Valve, please fix

Well, in my opinion, I will never buy stickers from teams that are present in the major every year. I only buy stickers from teams that are lucky enough to enter the tournament, like Paris 2023 I only buy Fluxo and Into the breach , 9Ine , Dexter signature and in 2024 I think I will only buy SAW, Lynn Vision Estactic, maybe I will buy a little more Cloud9, Imperials, Ropz signature here all the things I buy , I will never buy permanent teams during the year

the only csgo investor youtuber who i can watch without brainrot, also i think that copenhagen is gonna sell well, not as much as paris but you can argue that copenhagen are the best borderless besides kato14, investors not gonna buy'em but new players and casual will. not sure about shanghai design thought, first major in china, valve obv knows that its gonna be huge, so they either do another borderless, maybe even every sticker is gonna be unique, like kato14s or they either gonna make some insane backgrounds (like they did with rio, im talking about how rio stickers looks while knowing it took place in brazil, imo if rio came out in 2020, after the ugly london, kato19 and berlin, they would be way more appreciated)
Copenhagen are definitely NOT the best borderless since kato14. They’re the worst of the modern borderless by FAR. Stockholm are the best other than Kato and Antwerp and Paris trade blows for 3rd place.
@@IVEdge its obviously subjective, but in my opinion, copenhagen papers are better than last 3 borderless major sticker because team logo is bigger and centered, like a text under it. Golds are similiar to rio golds but obv without border, and most of community liked rio golds over antwerp / stockholm golds, i don't know what to say about gliiters, imo they're just trash, like every borderless glitter, but i do agree that copenhagen holos are worse than stock/paris/antwerp; would luv to hear your take thought
@@mtrlst actually the copenhagen glitters are relatively special (moon and stars pattern). the holos are shit (apart from KOI and cloud9), ugly colours which won't fit on any skin; nobody gives a damn about golds and papers (which are nothing special - the text can and will be scratched, so this doesn't matter).

@@fernhardferr if we're talking about the whole community, then a lot of people cares about papers and golds, papers will always be aplied and golds are gonna be cheap in a few weeks so also a lot of aplication potential for them, also i do agree that copen holos are worse than antwerp/stock/paris, they're not ugly, similar holo effect like dreamhack13 or old community capsule holo sticker (Don't Worry I Gotcha for example)

MLG2016 blue color holos are the 2nd best in the game (for blue color holo) only behind Titan Kato 2014. I place C9 DH2014 at third. You're completely wrong about Titan Cluj-Napoca 2015 being "unpopular." In fact, it's literally the biggest Titan logo in the game, just the C9 and some others are "small," if they fit like a puzzle-piece into the font, then the sticker is HUUUUUUUGE (for Cluj-Napoca 2015).

iknow the game came out in 2012, but i came from starcraft 2 and 1.6 in 2014. i put maybe 500 euro into the game within 2 years, and
i can tell you almost nobody invested during that time. everybody just opened, and shit had no value at all. you have to look at individual
prices is a specific way if you open the whole lifes timeline. the beginning never has any telling of how the skin will go within the next years,
since the skins always inflated in prices when a new case came out. every blue skin is 50 euro even back in the days, and thats how people
used to do their trading.

Ist a prisoners dilemma situation. If Noone buys into copenhagen, it would become a good Investment and the next stickers might get borders again which increases your profit even more. But If everyone thinks Like this we get overinvested stickers and the same situation in shanghai again
Always do the opposite of the common investor. CS reached critical mass of investors sometime in 2023. Way too many investors in this market at this point.
I agree with you, cs differs from the stock market in many ways. If you have a lot of investors in the stock market the company which is highly invested in tends to do well due to the massive influx of funds, and if you don't agree then you can just search up S&P 500 (US) in comparison to the FTSE 100 (UK).
However, in cs if you get too many investors it actually ruins the profitability of the skins, stickers and whatever
