Buddy Guy has it all🎶💙. Love him and everything he does. A major influence on Stevie Ray Vaughan. They played together and became very close friends. Buddy says Stevie was the best friend he ever had.

Saw Buddy Guy in Perth about 20 years ago. Mega entertaining and brilliant band. He took a walk around the theatre doing a massive solo. Never missed a beat!

Buddy Guy could steal any show he's in, but he always let's others shine and enjoys it. Oh, and he can take this old woman to Chicago anytime he wants. Please.

Obviously there's SRV, and you can't neglect love for the great Albert Collins. But rounding out my top 3 blues guitarists is the legend Buddy Guy. Such a phenomenal voice, stage presence, showmanship, and absolutely the finest blues guitar you ever will hear. Clearly this is all just my opinion, but I am positive I'm right about Buddy being the best blues guitarist ever. The man is 80 now and STILL putting out albums where he sprays hot beautiful fire all over everything, and does the same live (or did until COVID). He's the GOAT as far as I'm concerned, and it's not even close. Love your reaction, y'all! Great job -- hope you do some more Buddy!

Anybody who wants to see and hear something bloody brilliant look for The Tribute to SRV. If you like blues you will love Stevie's brother Jimmy Ray Vaughan, BBKing , Robert Cray, Buddy Guy, Bonny Rait, Eric Clapton Art Neville and Dr John on keyboard along with Stevie's band

Buddy Guy himself said SRV is the best he has ever heard. That is one hell of a endorsement. I was at a Blues show back in the early 80's with many greats..BB King, Albert Collins, SRV, Jimmy Vaughn, George Thorogood, DR. John, Etta James, and others. It was a 2 day show and incredible. Albert, BB, and SRV were all on stage together near the end of the show and man, that was a once in a lifetime experience to see all that talent on stage together.

What I'm saying is that Buddy Guy is my favorite blues guitar player. SRV is great but we are here to celebrate Buddy. There are tons of SRV vids to pay tribute to him.

The Blues Brothers (John Belushie and Dan Ackroyd) covered a lot of blues songs. Their band was a lot of great blues musicians. My favorite is ‘I Caught the Katy.’

Tell you what that live "Briefcase Full Of Blues" record by The Blues Brothers was a huge revelation to me as a young kid. Obviously I didn't grow up on hardcore blues but the way the Blues Brothers introduced it with what was essentially cherry-picked members from the NBC Saturday Night Live band behind them just crushed it. Definitely a Gateway for me to then explore the original artists whose songs were being covered. I've seen Buddy Guy several times and he always delivers the goods. Even now when he's like a thousand years old he's super Vital and legit. One last thing I'd like to mention (speaking of revealing personality and whatnot).. it has been awesome to see Dolly blossom with her personality being way more present and her musical opinions starting to really come through the more and more she has a wached and listened to various music. HAM!
