Thanks for sharing I’ve never seen Kokanee caught like that before. Nor did I even know you could purchase an ultra violet flashlight. In our part of the world I will fish at night to bypass the 100 degree days, jet skis, and skiers. Thanks again. Can’t wait to try it out.
Great job explaining the fishing process. Looks like fun
My daughter and I learned to night fish for Kokanee with Alan. Brings back find memories from our trip. Thanks for another great episode of AWTV!
Been fishing here all my life, Fantastic fishing!
16:50 "and just a gentle swing into the boat don't yank as he comes out of the water like me" , "right into Justin" THUMP!!! swings fish into side of boat, lol . Awesome video guys!!!
I remember fishing Loon lake as a kid with grandpa back in the 60s
Excellent tutorial
How long should the leader from the cripplure to the glo hook be?
I fished with a guide up there, $250 and I got 10 kokanee, and 5 sun fish. So easy, on the water at sun up, back to truck 3 hrs later. he left me try for pan fish for an hr. love that lake. want to buy a house on it.
Allen is a savage 🎣
Are there any other lights that are good besides the Berkeley?
Neat!!
Any reason this style of fishing wouldn't work on other Kokanee lakes? Looks like fun!
I think it would work on any kokanee lake. You would just have to figure out where they go at night to feed and use the lights to draw them in.
Great video! Any future episodes on the way night fishing for rainbows?
I have not night fished specifically for rainbows but we have caught them while night fishing for kokanee. No reason it wouldn't work.
Where did you buy those glowing cripplers?

Is there a reason why these koks don't or aren't bigger than 12"" ??
Probably due to the sheer amount of fish versus food.
Also they spawn and then die
So is this to tease us?
What are those,,, Herring?? Smelt?? Pretty small kokes for sure!!
Warning: it ain't that easy. Countless times I've been out on this lake at night, and can't consistently catch fish. Various hook/lure/bait/scent setups, and only got the limit twice in the spring.
Hundreds swarm my boat, visibly feasting on the microorganisms, but they are completely not interested in my bait. They will even kiss or taste the bait, but don't take it.
Trolling during the day has been more productive. Btw, I fish legally. The stories I've heard of catching a hundred in one night are probably chummers.
TALKED TOO,TOO MUCH !
but it was all great info, excellent and complete tutorial
How about you zip it
