There's an aquifer over by the A-Frame. My buddy's cabin is in the cove north of it. This year the aquifer will run eastward, creating a current from the point toward the A-Frame. The Browns and Bows will be there BIG TIME this time of year. We drop unweighted nightcrawlers and they nail it!
Picked up a tip on placement of the wiggle fin and how it affects the flies profile. Thanks for sharing
I personally have gone and spent time at Lake Almanor Canyon dam with John and Debbie at the Quail Lodge. I must say it is an amazing location for fishing hiking and swimming. Deb and John were extremely accommodating generous and very fun to be around. My family and I will definitely be going back to the Quail Lodge!
Great video. Unfortunately this nice lodge was burned down in the July 2021Dixie Fire. Hopefully they will rebuildit better than ever at some point.
What size flies were you guys trolling at Almanor?
What rods are you using in the video ? Great video very helpful.
Do you find any of these trolling flies effective for kokanee?
We have Arctic Fox trolling flies designed for Kokanee in stock. They will be available on the site in a day or two. They are a small tube fly with a two hook rig. They look really good.
Nice fish😃👍
How's the fishing in March?
March v man be great as long as water conditions are good.
👍🍀🍀🇮🇪🇮🇪💚
Can u still fish at this lake or is trout season over
It's open all year.
What's really sad about the lake now is the Dixie Fire. It will literally kill all of the fish in that lake ... it will never be the same. :( The view is gone ....
