To be honest not me cus all you need to make sure of is that it's a shirt you can ruin and a towel you can ruin. Like I have one towel that I accidentally got cleaning bleach on so now I use it to protect while i bleach and color my hair and I have plenty of ruined shirts I use for coloring or bleaching my hair
I get the white shirt if it's old but the towel..sigh I did that mistake when I first started dying my hair because I ONLY had white towels.... now I make sure to use the old maroon ones or the black ones depending on the hair color.

My dad said the same thing about balayage hair! "I thought many pretty young girls just hadn't gotten back to the hairstylist recently, but your mother tells me that's the style." 😂 He's been polite about my hair tho.

Went into a hairdresser to get platinum blonde foils, I hadn’t dyed or cut my hair in like 6 years so it was long and a dark blonde to light brown color . He said “no I want to do an ombré with a slow fade down to a silver/grey blonde “. He showed me his Instagram page and the colors he had done on ppl’s hair and I was blown away. I was like boy go for your life do whatever you want . Lol so he did my cut and color and then blow dried it and then put these GORGEOUS curls in my hair using the straightener. Let me tell you I felt like I needed a blow fan in front of me and somebody needed to be taking pictures. Lol my confidence went through the roof . I mentioned the blow fans and said to him I feel like I’m on next top model lol he pointed up to this huge fan and turned it on full and both of us were there for a good 10 mins striking poses ! 😂 nobody else was in the salon as I was the last customer for the day . I will never go to another hairdresser again I have found the hairdresser for me . It wasn’t cheap but you get what you pay for and the confidence from walking into the salon compared to walking out was priceless . Love you Brad!

I actually really appreciate that he doesn't shame those who do their own hair at home. I do mine myself and hate that some professionals look down on us for it. I know I could never do what professionals do, and most people won't be able to, but professionals shouldn't make those that do their own hair feel bad for it. I don't have the money to keep coming back to get bright colours professionally done, and this way I can play around to really get the colour I want, and honestly it's fun. So thank you Brad 🙏
I went to a salon once to get my hair purple (a huge dream of mine for a while), spent 300$ on it including the tip and it. Was. Horrible. It looked so beautiful the first 2 days and then it didn't stop bleeding, where the purple started near my roots faded to an ugly orange yellow and it was so bad it all washed out within a month. I ended up dying it at home (and bleaching again which was a bit of a mistake) to a beautiful aqua/teal blue at home and the only mistakes were my roots and a few spots in the color. I loved it and it lasted FOREVER. Obviously you should go to a salon because they know what they are doing, but sometimes home dyes work out on their own 😂

Yes! I went to the best salon I could find in my area, got color removal done “professionally,” then the colorist dumped a dark color back on it. Reverse ombré 💀
Caroline unfortunately that's sometimes the only thing you can do. Everyone's hair is different.. And I think a lot of people except a professional to be able to do something almost impossible.. And be able to fix mistakes etc. even Brad will tell you, you have to be patient with hair if you want something extreme and can't do it in one day. And not all hair will lift the same as the next.

I've accidentally done an ombrè on my hair the last two times I dyed it. It's lavender and amethyst purple. It was absolutely an accident, but everyone loves it.
OMG, I love when accidents turn out well, I have had a TON of accidents, hit luckily they've come out good.
I have an accident at the mo! Mines Green with a blue ombre! I ran out of blue so put the green on all over! Actually looks fab and people keep asking me where I got it done as they want it! Erm.. I intended on doing a block colour of blue.. Just section off your hair and use stargazers blue on the bottom half and then throw a crazy colour alpine green over the lot and, ta dar!! Or that's how I did it, ha!!
