    Thanks chrysler for making this task ridiculously difficult and tedious

    Why'd you skip the most important instructions? I wish you'd said specifically how you're supposed to pull the socket from the bezel and how to remove the trim piece from the socket. All I know is that's when stuff breaks for me...

      Hey Jah, to remove the socket from the bezel, you turn it a quarter turn counter clockwise (I believe) and line up a little notch and then it will simply pull out. As far as the trim piece, there is a tab on each side that needs to release. I don't know if there is a special tool for that or not. I just took the pliers on my Leatherman and squeezed the socket until it bent and pulled it out. To put the trim on the new socket you just push it on and it will snap into place. Hope that helps. : )

      I couldn’t get mine to rotate a 1/4 turn. I ended up just pulling like hell and wiggling and it came out. Ended up just smashing the rivet in the back flat with a screw driver and it solved the issue. Good video.

    For your switch panel, where did you tap into a 12v source. Where did you run the ground to? Thanks!

      I know I ran the ground over the the ground post in front of the drivers door on the interior side wall. I'm pretty sure I ran a power wire from the battery so I could use the lights when the vehicle is off.

    Hey so I know the one on the left is a cigarette lighter but shouldn’t it be working as a charging outlet too?

    • @MonsterJeep
      @MonsterJeep  6 років тому +1

      Yes it will, but it only has power when the key is on. Be warned, I think the outlets are only 10 amps. Anything with a strong draw will burn them out.

      Monster Jeep I fixed it by taking the fuse from the trailer lights and switching it with the blown fuse. It was fuse 06 for me that was blown for anyone else wondering.

    Those little squares in the cig lighter you see when he took it out.. well I had my girls ring fall through those squares. Is there a way I can look to where it might have fell?

      I would think you would be able to look back there by removing the bottom cover of the center dash console and then remove the four screws and you can pull the center dash console back to look around. Hope that helps...

    What part number is this?

    • @MonsterJeep
      @MonsterJeep  6 років тому +1

      For the power plug you want part no. 4793554AC. The lighter socket is a different part.

    WTF, all he had to do was pull the outlet out, it's held in with clips that release. What was wrong with the old one??? What a wast of time video.

      After watching the entire video, I came to the same conclusion. But hey I’m glad I watched to learn from him. Both my lighter and 12v plugs don’t work
