- In this video i will explain all of jiaoqiu’s early kit. He is a 5 star fire nihility character and is rumored to be a Acheron’s best supporter! i think they need to swap his current E2 into his base kit like they did with FF, there's no reason for him to not work with dots when Black swan and Guinafen already have a ''special dot''
he would be too OP though. Theres a reason why Wind and Lightning are the only 5 star DoTs they have been releasing in a while. Its because Fire and Physical DoTs are stronger than wind and lightning. Luka is only single target for that reason and Guinaifen is more on a debuffer than a DoT unit
@@ngm6541 you're right but he's a 5 star and it would be ''broken'' only in DoT teams, plus to make it really broken you would need at least either kafka or black swan in your team so that would already require a lot of investment
@@luciel_sama but the difference is that unlike black swan who is mainly a dps, jiaoqiu is a support. If he had the dot in his kit, then he would be an OP version of black swan... He would have a crazy 40% dmg amp AND dot. I would just think of jiaoqiu as 5* version of pela.

@@Xcharge83 pretty much that, E0 Jiaoqiu would just be a debuffer that also helps Arcana stacking at E0, and at E2 become an actual third DoT DPS. seems like the most elegant solution, really
I was hoping for a nihility healer given his character description but he seems like basically a better Pela. Nice for Acheron team but he doesn’t occupy the sustain slot so he doesn’t free up Acheron team building the way I hoped. If he were to heal he’d have massive value in enabling Acheron teams to use a Harmony with sacrificing the sustain slot but as it is his value is meh compared to what I expected from his character description.
Ehh more like guinafen than pela. I think we will see the numbers showing pela with resolution is better or on par with Jiaoqiu. Hot take: HSR starting to fall off
@danomaly8943 That's not a hot take, that's a burnt take lol, honestly HSR is only getting better. The story is doing great and only getting better every update, the new characters make more and more unique playstyles meta. Newest update added alot of content with new endgame and QoL. Game's just getting better lol. But I guess that's subjective at the end of the day...
Same, I really hope they bring back the healing somehow. It was not only unique but opened up alot of opportunities for teambuilding with acheron.
@@SpyralKing Lmao no it’s not. Bro people are playing the game LESS and it’s only going to get worse when other games come out. Boothill and the new game mode didn’t save the HUNT path. Jiaoqiu is uninspired garbage from a 5 star value perspective and the last few events have been TRASH. Bartending and I can’t even remember the last one because I didn’t do it. I get that HSR is the new Genshin but come on
@@danomaly8943 I dont know who you talk to but literally everyone in the space is loving everything with this new patch. HSR is even doing better than genshin financially in recent months in revenue charts. They have been top 1 or 2 for months. Bartending was a fun gamemode and well put together. Not for everyone sure, if its not your cup of tea (or alcohol lol) I get that, but to say that the events are bad is just plain wrong. This patch's event is super fun for example and has multiplayer. Also, the last patch's combat event was really well made and had quite a bit of depth and unique mechanics. It just seems to me that you personally have something against the game, or perhaps your group of friends isnt enjoying it anymore so now "people" are playing less, but I assure you, statistics beg to differ.
I'd also like to point out that new character releases have recently been nothing but fresh and unique for the past couple months, all introducing new mechanics for the most part. Jiaoqiu is the first one in months to be more conservative in that sense, and he's not even officially out yet. They could still change him.
i love dot nihility, and i love acheron's dps style, but it's a shame that the debuff-focused nihility units just... aren't as good as harmony units. their debuffs are way lower than harmony's buffs and they don't do enough damage on their own to make up for it. great for acheron, but there's pretty much no other case where you'd swap out your sparkle or your ruan mei for jiaoqiu
i mean yeah buffers and debuffers are different but i get what you mean
3:47 lowering enemies effect hit rate means the enemies will have lower chance to inflict debuffs on you, not the other way around as that would be with lowering effect res.

I was just thinking this. Every time an enemy takes the stage black swan debuffs them. Same with him. If that’s the case then I should pull for firefly or the other upcoming physical dps as I already have black swan.
@@unknownteddykdfwell, if you lack physical dps, go for Yunli, if you lack fire dps Firefly is the solution, and if you lack a fire character and want another debuffer he is the best
man, with the description they gave of him, was hoping for a DOT healer. Interesting kit nothenless, though 35% max debuffand only 15% ult dmg increase sounds kinda underwhelming.
Actually its a 40% vulnerability, and he should be able to mantain that debuff value almost the entire battle with his ult, he sounds like a good alternative as debuffer than Sw, considering his Signature Lc too
Kafka don’t work with him, she cant burn his dot
In my opinion, if he was going to output “decent” healing then they made the right choice removing it. Sounds too broken at e0 along with his kit. That being said if the healing amount was low even at max level I can understand why people would pull for him just to free up a slot. Regardless I’ll most likely be pulling for him unless they make some major changes to his kit.
The fact that black swan can get almost 100% def shred and has a nuke of an aoe is a crime against this man

1) e4 moved into base kit.
2) needs healing moved back into kit or e2 into base kit. Preferably healing, make e2 worth chasing on a way better kit.
3) ehr debuff needs to changed to toughness dmg increase 50%.
Hope he gets a huge rework in v3...
Maybe in his field he could turn 1% dot damage to party wide heal?

I feel like he might end up being kinda like the Shenhe of this game(both released in 2.4 of their respective game as a bonus)amazing for one DPS in their cases Ayaka and Acheron and ok for 2-3 other teams if you don't have the proper characters for example, Shenhe and Ganyu and Jiaoqiu and Dr.Ratio both of the DPS's have better teams but can clear the content with these supports.
Does that mean we might get “Jiaoqiu how big is the gyatt?”

About the universal LC stuff:
Videos on the beta test say otherwise. A shielder with universal LC + jiao action debuff actually gave acheron 2 stacks. It's two difference instances: Turn start and attack. Trends require the enemy to hit your preservation which can be unreliable.
Unless they patched this, that info is incorrect.

4:39 Feels like they decided to make Jiaoqiu a Black Swan for Acheron. I think it’s a waste because she already does a lot of damage so I can’t see this making a difference. Also damage vulnerability falls off after a certain point l. Basically enemy resistances are so strong that 55% is very little help for enemies like sam compared to def shred. Especially on modes like Gold and Gears.
i think it really helps with ult frequency more than damage.
it will be pretty good to buff acheron performance on pure fiction i think. wich is my weak spot right now

I plan on pulling for him! I'm just debating if I want to go so far as to do something like e2s1 for him or not. We'll see how I'm sitting financially since I just got a new job and I'm not sure if I can whale or not as much.
I don't care , I still want him! I'm skipping out on Firefly. I'm saving all of my Jade and gold passes for him. I'm gonna experiment with putting him with my character. I currently have Imaginary+ plus Backup Dancer.

Haven't watched the vid. But whether he'd be good or not, I am desperate for any playable guys in star rail, and he just so happens to be a playable foxian male. I don't care he is hot and I'll definitely pull for him. Skipping firefly for him🤞
the most important part about his kit:
he gives vulnerability to the enemies (increased the dmg taken)
this is already enough for him to be useful in practically any formation
im also pulling for him, so know he wont only be pretty, he will also be useful!
Yeah lol the meta guys are only IL rn I guess? Aven if you're using sustain, for example in AS and MoC, but I don't need him for the rest of the contents. The rest of my lineup are mostly filled with the girls.... There's sampo in acrn's team but he's just a copium option 😩
@@sigewinnieee yep I've watch the vid, and he seems to just be a solid debuffer that can slip up to any teams as a filler. I myself only have one limited 5 star support, so having him could definitely be very useful
DHIL , Blade , Argenti , Dr. Ratio , Aventurine , Loucha , Gallagher these are some pretty good male 5 star characters if you missed and bud is not that good looking too
@@NoName-kg4veluocha and blade fell off hard unfortunately but the rest r good. The meta is full of women tho. I don’t hate women I love my Kafka and Acheron but I would love to see some more meta males come out
what increases stack generation more. jiaoqiu with acheron e0s1. or acheron e2s1?

Hes really good for Acheron which is the main character I want him to be good with. I already have Premium Followup team and Firefly Superbreak but Acheron doesn't really have ideal supports other than Pela. Having to depend on Trend LC for stacks is kinda annoying when its pretty bad lightcone for your sustain otherwise.
Hopefully they buff him though and make him as broken as they make Harmony characters.

Stacks for Acheron is ok but nothing crazy. I can do the same with a preservation with trend lc and high taunt lmao. His would be a bit more consistent but that's it. And his debuffs are kinda weak tbh. Like compared to acheron with pela in the team and him, is not like you would say yeah I would take jiaoqiu 100% which is bad considering jiaoqiu is a 5 star.
I’m glad someone sees it that way. If this game was new he would be good but we have other options we can use to get similar value.
Agreed. There isn’t anything unique enough in his kit to motivate me to use him over my e6 4* units (one of whom is fire and applies DOT so it more flexible for me). I don’t think that they will add the healing back into his kit, but he would need DOT in his base kit for me to even consider pulling him.
his kit is 4.5* guinaifen at best. such a shame they butchered his kit. it was unique before. e2 is the only thing that might be worth a pull IF it was baseline.
That E2 is really stupid tho, I was thinking of making him the main dps for a new DoT team.
is acheron better with sparkle or pela with Jiaoqiu?
Will he be good for other hypercarry team like Jing Yuan, Argenti, Blade, etc if I already have a E6 Pela?
In my case I have all nihility characters except for SW.
My most used teams are Boothill break team, but especially my Kafka, black Swan, Ruan Mei and Hueee Hueee (huo huo lol) team and Acheron with Pela, Gepard and then I dont really have a good enough nihility for her team without taking Black Swan or Kafka (more often Black Swan because def reduce) from my Kafka dot team.
So I will most likely pull for him, but I also hope that I could play him in dot or my Dr. Ratio teams depending on the weakness.
Would it be still necessary to get him if i use pela+gui and aventurine with trend lc because it still gets acheron ultimate fairly quickly im just not sure
Jiaoqiu will replace gui's role in your team. And he will give 55% vulnerability ult dmg increase for acheron, so... i guess its necessary, especially if your acheron is e0s0

What's his performance compared to harmony units? Like comparing Robin to Jiaoqiu.
Compared to harmony units, he is still not good tbh unless you pair him with Acheron. The harmony units we have rn ruan mei, robin, sparkle are just too good at buffing units (given the fact that all of them are sp pos, amplifies dmg, advance AP) I think the only harmony unit he can defeat is bronya but I personally think bronya is still more flexible than he is.
Bronya, Robin, or Sparkle are way better than him smh. For Acheron, SW and Pela work just fine. I don't rly see his value for a limited 5*
these comments are braindead. Bronya is not even close to his dmg amplification, esp for acheron the best dps in the game rn.
@@jammed_yam we are talking abt flexibility and utility here compared to harmony units. You literally just prove us right lol that he can only be paired with Acheron . The only good thing abt him as of his current kit at V1 is his vulnerability debuff and that's just it and in order to get his ult you need to 2-3 basic and 1 skill so he isn't SP+ unlike bronya which majority of the people have at least her E1 or E2 and/or her lc which makes her SP+ and given that she provides buff and advance forward for the whole team. Also, his current kit is useless with his attack and requires investment to work at E0 since his traces requires massive amount of EHR which converts it to attack to work. Yes, he is good but if you compare him to a Harmony unit he is average af.

I mean my Nihility option is Luka and Sampo I think Jioqiu would be quite an improvement. Best case is getting him, 2nd best is losing 50 50 to Welt, or Bronya.
hes only 10.7% more ult damage than pela for e2 acheron. given that he cant heal anymore i dont think he is worth the jades.
Very underwhelming, especially if your Acheron is already in a Pela + Silverwolf + Trend team, why wasting so many jades on a character that only offers some stats increase in a already OP team, and eventually when u are tired of Acheron switch to other teams he is just gonna sit on the bench forever, I would def pull for him if he is actually a Nihility healer tho, cos in that case he unlocks new team comps for E0 Acheron, only in that situation i would consider him worth it.
Exactly, I have E6 Pela and E1 Black Swan and they always manage to stack acherons ult while def shredding.

Yeah, I'm using that exact same team with E1 SW and she can ult every 2 turn (pair with wind set and 150 spd, and boi she's fast), so she can give acheron 3 stack per 2 turn with SP neutral gameplay. Pela E6 SP+ can also stacking def shred with SW and pearls LC (Luka) up to 111%.
So yeah I don't think I will replace SW or Pela. And yeah I agree, if he's a also a healer then it will be another story.

Since Kafka's best team rn is Kafka, Blackswan, RuanMei, Huohuo, would Jiaoqiu be an okay replacement for Ruanmei? Since I kinda wanna put my Ruanmei in my boothill team
he is kinda meh on dot as he himself doesnt inflict dots unless u get e2, robin is better and he will not be much of an upgrade compared to guinaifen.

Around a 25% ult damage increase but also more debuffs, it's pretty good
not worth it in my eyes as hie is right now. I have e2s1 too with sparkle e0s1 and pela but if his kit doesn't get major buffs he is an easy skip.
Can switch Pela with Jiaoqui.. Vulnerability will definitely bring more dmg to Acheron compared to def shred.. Plus you can get the stack much more faster from his kit.. Everytime enemy moving will give stack to Acheron, imagine Ulti every turn lol
I will get him S1/E1 and bench Pela.
Btw very good for this team is S1/E2 Aventurine.

Kinda conflicted about this. On one hand, I would like to make my Acheron team stronger (him being a foxian male is also a plus haha). On the other hand, I just pulled on both Firefly and Ruan Mei's banner. I was hoping I could take a break from pulling. 😅😅 Maybe Guinaifen is good enough
would of been cool for my acheron team but aventurine took it all from me when wishing for firefly and ruan mei lost 2 50/50 but prevailed and got both in the end even tho i did want firefly's lc but luck was bad.
So I have every 5 star harmony character in HSR so I'm unsure if I really NEED Jiaoqiu. I don't have any nihility 5 stars like acheron, black swan, kafka, etc, nor am I interested in building a DOT team with those characters. I like Jiaoqiu as a character and just want to have him for the sake of liking his design, but is he worth it?

I have all the standard 5 stars and all the current 4 stars. Are there any teams anyone could recommend with the characters I have for Jiaoqiu? Or is Jiaoqiu just not worth it if I don't plan on getting Acheron?
You should definetly try to get Firefly to get a 2nd good team besides FuA , since you have Ruan Mei she's cracked

Seems like even less reason to pull for him if you have e2 Acheron since a marginally better Pela isn’t a strong enough case to outright pull for. How much of an improvement is he to Pela?
10.7% ult damage over pela. loss vs pela for non ult damage but made up for by his own damage over pela.

Its a shame his kit feels so restrictive cause he looks cool af to me.
For me, someone who doesn't care about playing characters optimally, i would make him work with whoever even if its not optimal. However, the more restrictive a kit, the less viable ways to play him making him less fun to use.

E1 is the best stopping point for boosting acheron dmge
People really underselling the value of Damage Vuln in the comments here, when we have so few sources of Vuln in the game xD It's another element of the damage formula that benefits every form of damage, including DoTs and Break/Superbreak. Meaning he amps the damage of literally every team, with zero exceptions. And that's why he's slotting into my Acheron team next to Pela, and my Ratio team next to Robin. Stacking multipliers, people!
I think his light cone+e2 makes him worth it, but only if you're married to Acheron for good. It's a nice upgrade, but also pretty skippable. Also, rejoice, players who dont have Silver Wolf's event cone!
Even though he is good is it really necessary to get him just because of acheron because I really wanted to save for feixiao instead

I guess so! His E2 makes him an enabler for dot. probably good with kafka, or (kafka + jioaqiu + BS + sustain )

I hope they rework his E2 and E4 or at least only his E4 cause it sucks ass. Like I wouldn't complain if it can also apply 20% EFFRES reduction to enemies and maybe some EHR for you and your team, but no the only thing it does is to apply 15% ATK reduction to enemies. If they want to have people be pulling for him I think they should really rework his E4 eidolon or just add something more rewarding and valuable other than ATK reduction. But over all I think he'll be a top tier debuffer in the future just like Ruan Mei now cause I remember people disregarding her value and saying that she is just an easy skip and well look at her now. When it comes to supports especially Nihility and Harmony characters, you should REALLY do some serious theory crafting, calculation, and speculations with their kit cause you'll never know their true value until a future top tier DPS gets released that suits well with their kit.

Underwhelming? Nahhh its op currently my acheron can only deal abt 130k-170k dmg to a si gle opponent with sig lc of a cv of 70/200, 130k with no debuffs,170k with welt's 20 vuln, my pela' def shred of both -20% def and -40% def just what would happen if they were have the vulnerability of 55%?
That's exactly the reason why he is underwhelming. He is locked to teams with Acheron. Even if the def shred helps his full potential is locked to his lc, sub stats, and gears to make him function properly (eff. Hit rate) and given that not all his debuffs will land on enemies. Additionally, his traces are dependent on his technique which means you have to land his technique first before attacking which in some cases are not possible. Lastly, his maximum potential are fully locked on his e4 and e2 which might be difficult to attain by some players.

Ratio team) also isn't his passive basically the same w firekiss so it can be used to increase dot dmg? Idk i just need a universal ddbuffer :) tho im not sure abt yunli yet
