Beautiful Doily!❤❤ Thanks dear for sharing with us. I've completed this pattern today in light peach colour andit's looking awesome... Lots of love from India!❤❤❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏🙏🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
Thank you for sharing this! My Niece and ai were recently talking about the doilies my Mom had and this is very similar. Sadly they were all lost in the house fire as was the pattern, we lost everything. Mom had a stroke soon after and so she never crocheted after the fire and could not remember the stitches, much less the pattern. I am going to make a few in her memory and teach my niece how to make them as well. Thank you for bringing a piece of my Mom back to me…she passed in 1999. I think I might make one for each of my 6 siblings and their kids. ❤️
I learned this pattern when I was 9. I *borrowed* doilies from my grandma and figured it out by just looking at them. Used #10 crochet cotton. When I finished one, I would return it and *borrow* another.🙄 I never learned to read a crochet pattern until I was in highschool, but knew how to crovhet before I learned to write my name.
It was nice that this could be done in a couple hours. Just curious, what size did your thread one come out at? I used a 3.75mm and about a sport wt or thinner of my hand spun and got a 16" doily.
Thank you for showing us how to make this with yarn so we can see what you are doing. As always, your tutorials are understandable.
