I have part of a bedspread that my grandmother made with this stich. It was falling apart and my cousin took the time to make individual tree ornaments for all her grandchildren.
Well that was fun. Who doesn't love a good pineapple doily right!?! Trying it with a thin hand-spun of wool, mulberry silk, bamboo and recycled sari silk. It's a good way to use up scraps or test spins.
Thank you so much for this pattern and I am so happy that you have this, you are very thorough, just don’t know how I can share the pictures of the things I made from your tutorial. You are really great! More power to you!
I love, love, love pineapples !! I made a doiley that was supposed to be made with a #13 hook and very tiny thread…… I used #5 and #10 thread. The doiley was supposed to end up being 13 inches but what I got was a tablecloth !! I absolutely love being surprised !! And I know yours will be beautiful too !! ❤️
I've given myself a challenge here. There's a coworker who had a birthday last weekend, and I've been promising her something lacey and handmade. Problem is, I have large hands, and I had myself convinced that I can't do traditional lace. Well, I've tried two projects using a size D hook and size 3 cotton yarn, but either project will have me working on a gift until her birthday next year. So I decided to use the same yarn, a size 1 steel hook, and I'm shocked that I'm able to do this with such small stitches! Black lace is perfect for my friend, as her tastes are somewhat feminine Goth. I'm looking forward to finishing this up, she's gonna be so happy! And as always, thank you for your videos!
Cool!! I've ALWAYS wanted to know how do the Pineapple doily. And here you are making it easy to learn and follow how to make it. Thank you so much Fiber Spider!!
🎉More pineapple from the center yay🎉 Loves the pineapple from the center. We needs more. Lol Ty for the bigger yarn sample v the smaller. Both are beautiful and unique. Supper Huggs and thank you for design.
Got to watching to round 3 "ouch!!" The crochet bug bit hard, I'm off to gather supplies to sit and make this beautiful doily, thank u for all ur creative ways and ur thoroughness, I absolutely love ur videos, off to crochet (and get caffeinated 😉)
Hi Craig....Love this. Unfortunately I have a bag full of doilies. No one in my family wants them and this was the first thing my Nana taught me to do when I was 8. I love making them.
Howdy fiber spider, been a while but always have an 👁 on all the cool things your up too. I'm loving this! I too enjoy the larger examples. Nutn to do with my eyes I'm sure😂😂 have a great weekend. See ya soon😊 Ps Doilies.. bro being it on.. they give me life😁
I finished this part of the doily. I found once I knew the pattern or repeat of each row, I was able to work at my own pace. This is a very easy pattern. I can’t wait to finish the second half. I have to have a break. I’m using Cotton Kings 8/4 cotton from Hobbii. I have a C or 2.75 mm hook I’m using. I can’t wait to see how it turns out.
oh my gosh Greg !! Finally Yes !! I love your tutorials and i have wanted to make a Pineapple pattern doily forever and ever. i know i can with your amazing instructions. Guess what everyone is getting for Christmas this year LOL LOL I Have to finish my WIP but i'll be back !!! I am excited !!
I don't see any reason why not. Just take it slow, be patient, and take breaks if necessary. Sometimes things make more sense after a break and with a fresh perspective. Furthermore, never be afraid to make mistakes - its how we learn and grow as creative people. Go for it!
Thank you so much for the thorough and easy to understand tutorials. I am 70 years old and enjoy them so much. Keep up the the great work

I like that hook, wonder where you got it…
Thank you. I got from an Etsy store called LETTO Workshop. Unfortunately they aren't currently doing business since they are located in Ukraine.
will u do a spider design
Nice tutorial. Just wondering if you can make this using sugars and cream cotton?.
I think you could. You would need a the size hook recommend for it. I would try it if I can find some of that yarn in my stash.
I have a size 1 yarn i could use for this
I would love to try and make this. Would you say a beginner could do it too?
