Hi Susan, I feel you, girl! I made a few hundred snowflakes for my birth mother years ago so she could have a Christmas tree of all snowflakes. Got them done after working all spring, summer and fall, but she had changed her mind! One of my friends' sister had a handicraft shop up north and she offered to sell my snowflakes on commission. I made over five hundred dollars! One day, I'll do a tree for myself. I've got a pattern for a beautiful star and even garland! Have you ever done any of Snowcatcher's designs? They're tricky, but gorgeous! There are a lot of them on Pinterest, if you're interested. I learned to block my flakes on styrofoam sheets covered with wax paper. Stainless steel pins won't rust. Spray starch and a dusting of white glass glitter really made my snowflakes sparkle. I thoroughly enjoyed making them, but I'm on a project of making hats for homeless folks for the winter, so no snowflakes this year for me. I'm so proud that you're making such beautiful creations! They'll make you cross-eyed, but they're worth it. Keep on stitching!
I too was doing quite a lot of thread crochet about the same time. Can't tell you the number of snowflakes, angels, doilies, etc I made. I loved watching the items become something round by round. Don't know if my arthritic hands would tolerate it now. They're OK with yarn, not sure how they would tolerate thread☺
Its your Texan living in Québec again🤣🤣 .... I love listening to your voice.....it somehow creates a calm happy bubble around me when the world is crazy outside 😀😀❤ I'm so gonna make a few of these as gifts for my fellow book club readers.....thanx so much!
I just KNEW I could count on you, Spider-man! I needed to figure out pineapple lace ribbon trim, 😁and here, you have it! I used #3 crochet thread, and continued until it was long enough to trim a blouse! THANK YOU!
My mom made these when I was little and I still have them ! Shé made them in little crosses for our prayerbooks. She always finished the outer edge in a different color. She made mine with a pink edge. They look so delicate but they do last forever❗Thanks Craig, I love the pineapples🙂
Wow...I was so intimidated when I saw this tutorial. Was looking around my yarn for something very thin and remembered I had some Red Heart croquette rolls that came in a mystery bag. Figured I would try those before I buy anything new. I did and I did it in one try. I will pull up your tassel tutorial and complete it. Thank you for your time and patience for those of us who can't read patterns!
Hi Craig 🕷🕷 I enjoyed your pineapple 🍍 bookmark. It's gorgeous. This would be a gorgeous stitch for a shawl or a summer top. Thank you for this tutorial.💜💙💚💗💛
Hi. I was thinking the same thing bout the shawl. I noticed in the description that he repeats rows 9-16. Maybe that's what I do for shawl and keep repeating till big enough ????????
What a lovely idea for Christmas gifts. I worked up your pineapple scarf pattern into a table runner. It turned out beautifully. I'm definitely going to make some of these bookmarks. Thank you!
Thank you Craig. Fiber Spider, For this lovely tutorial. Love the purple one. of course Mt fav . color. I'm like you kot a fan of thin tread yarn. I m going to do this with you now with fingerling # 2 yarn in yellow. Thank you so much you are the greatest. have a wonderful Sat . 😊
Ok You can you just send me the one of the beautiful bookmarks! I have collected bookmarks since I was 6! I I could never survive my life without books, music, crochet and you! You are one of the most precious and gifted person on UA-cam! Btw I tried the mini chili dogs! Yum love ya
This pattern was really easy. I didn't use thred yarn I used really thin cotton yarn. With 3mm hook turned out really nice. Thank you again for a wonderful pattern 😊
I had seen the prelude to this tutorial a couple of days ago & got real excited about it! I will be making a bunch of these because I come from a large family of Bible readers & I need to get started in time for Christmas so at least everyone one can have at least one of these very beautiful bookmarks! (I don’t want anyone feeling left out!!)
Your bookmarks are beautifully done! Love the colors. And you make it so doable with your tutorials. Thank you for crocheting something with the THIN crochet thread. I've always wondered if I could do it. I think I'd need a magnifying glass though! lol
I haven't used crochet thread in years because hurt my hands with the old fashioned steel hooks. I did buy a set of ergonomic steel hooks and hope I can use crochet thread again. This is on my "to do list"
Hello 👋 my sweet Craig thank you for another beautiful project ! QUESTION 🙋♀️ Can we do the magic ring with This project or does it work better with the chain 5 slip stitch to the first to make A ring!??? I do love the magic ring but I’m happy to make the chains in order to make the ring if it’s what works best with the pattern ! I know since patterns work better with the chains to make the ring and some work best with the magic ring and then some patterns it doesn’t matter what method is used! Thank you 🙏 in advance my sweet kind friend! You Ada the best ! I love 💕 everything you do and the hard work you put in to these tutorials to teach us all these amazing stitches / projects! 🥰🥰🙏🙏🙏🙏😘😘😘😘
I thought of making 2 big rectangles of this and joining them to make a poncho. I would do the pattern in the short rows and do the repeat rows to build the length (long side.)
Maybe a pull for a ceiling fan, I too learned at a young age how to crochet and would make doilies from crochet cotton, my grandmother would make bed spreads
Great idea I’m still stuck on your pineapple shawl I may need to email you so you can guide me. It’s my WIP and don’t I repeat tutorial 4 and 5 please respond thank you so much much I love how you teach. Your awesome and such a beautiful person❤️🌈
I love this stitch, but could it be possible to use it for a shawl.?? I notice in your descriptions you gave row times and repeated 9-16. Could I keep repeating those until size I need or some other way. ????? Thank you for the time you do tutorials. Love them. ♥️ 🧶🌺🧶🙏🏻 Do you also have a tutorial for a Cross bookmark.????
Quick question… do you have OCD? I always crochet with odd numbers .. if it’s not the count of stitches then it’s the colors of yarn. My favorite number is 3 colors or three rows of one colors.
@@FiberSpider I actually wouldn't know where to begin but my grandmother used to starch some things. I've taken up crochet long after she and my aunt have passed so have learned what I know from you and from Olga Poltava...my two faves!
I’m trying to make a book mark, but I can’t follow her bc of her language barrier . Her name is jinx and she has made a tutorial with sub titles and have even slowed it right down and I still can not make this beautiful bookmark ! I would really appreciate it if u could watch her video! Tku

It would be great as a choker or headband.
My hands can’t tolerate lace, but this will make a great headband! Going to use some DK and make it longer.
I would love it with skulls instead of pineapples 💀🖤 awesome work!
Maybe a pull for a ceiling fan, I too learned at a young age how to crochet and would make doilies from crochet cotton, my grandmother would make bed spreads
Thank you for this video. Let’s do more?!!❤️🌸
Great gift idea! 😊 Can I ask you to also show how to make the leaf bookmark pattern you made?

Do you also have a tutorial for a Cross bookmark.????
I find spider that pineapple motif is curling up! Could it be I don’t have enough stitches? Tku
Rather than frog the tutorial piece, you could make it a doily! I’d hate to see you tear apart such beautiful work.
Any chance of a pattern to do this with the skulls instead of pineapples???
Quick question… do you have OCD? I always crochet with odd numbers .. if it’s not the count of stitches then it’s the colors of yarn. My favorite number is 3 colors or three rows of one colors.
I’m going to surprise my daughter so goes to the Cleveland School of Arts straight A’S
❤️❣️❤️❣️❤️❣️❤️
Do you starch this afterwards?
I don't starch or stiffen mine, but you may if you prefer it that way.

Thank you. I do have a Fiber Spider Facebook page. I'm hardly ever on there, but you can always message me if you like.
Would you be able to do a video sometime on how to make slippers I want to try to make some and give for gifts
I have several tutorials on slippers. I think I like this one best though, enjoy.
