The worst part about this is that even if you stop the ftk with something like Eagle, they'll just let the timer run to 0 in the hopes that you get bored and leave.

This is actually one to the less toxic FTKs I’ve been subjected to, as it’s fairly brisk…relatively speaking.
At least it's over quickly and you don't have to wait for an eternity.

I've seen a combo like that before with the Destruct Potion Trap Card (basically the same as Mystic Wok).
A couple of months ago I played too many games in a row against bots with that deck, and not only that it seemed that they always had the same starting hand,consisting of 1 Ash Blossom, 1 Call by the Grave and the right cards to start the combo

If I remember it correctly, the best way to counter this is to chain anything on the first card they activate on your turn
This will mess the bot's combo, they will miss the timing on a certain card (I think it was that wok?)
If you have nothing to chain welp, gg's
Number 43 has When clause so any thing happens before the LP heal, will cause 43 to miss timing
@@dyaztama1364 True, but you have to do it this way.
1. At the start of your turn, after drawing card, activate any quick effect (Toggle ON, using turn player priority).
2. The bot will chain Wok as CL2 and Dragonar as CL3
3. Chain Resolves, Dragonar Summons Manipulator, Wok recover LP, then your card effect.
4. Since the last thing to happen is your card effect resolving and not LP recovery, Manipulator missed the timing.
However, if you let the bot activate Wok as CL1, you chain something as CL2 then bot summon Manipulator as CL3. Well, you lose
It has to be chain 1 to resolve so if you got your option on turn on you will get first prio to activate cards first. Then his spell will mis timing and the bot will surrender. And other thing you can do is use forbidden droplet on his dragon or forbidden chalice on it.

@@d.structive2633 you're welcome, although, suppose you play this FTK Deck, just let your opponent activate something. You then Wok > Dragonar on new chain (never chain to anything your opponent try to do).
I counter this combo by using Forbidden Drops as soon as my turn started.
if you drew it. That's what so fun and interactive about this game. There will be times when you don't draw handtraps at all so you just watch and lose without even having done anything.
@@senbujohns4489 Then proceed to win game 2 and 3 because they will all get their extra hand traps in their side deck.
Of course it works on Bo1 but technically 50-50.

Any quick play can basically screw this deck thanks to being run by a bot, so you can mess the bot up in activating it combo.

This is one of the coolest and saddest things I ever seen in master duel
I remember one time my opponent summoned that exact same xyz dragon and it had 9000 attack points. I used a hand trap during the turn to beef up my life points and when he was done whooping me i had like 200 left. Then i summoned a level 1 monster. With 0 original attack points. And equiped it with moon mirror shield. Destroyed his precious xyz, he took 100 points of damage, then quit.
At least he didn’t waste 10min for his Board.

A magic the gathering player was confused when I explained OTKs. They were like "what is the cost to play these cards?" I said "There's no cost, you can just play your whole deck turn 1 with the right deck"

I got matched against this OTK yesterday, and banished the Rank-Up-Magic with D.D. Crow so Numeron Dragon had no material. My very next duel, I get matched to the SAME PLAYER, and had D.D. Crow in my opening hand again. You can guess what happened...

I had this OTK done to me a few months ago. I was wondering why they just left a beat stick that will be at 0 Atk next turn then I saw Wok and knew manipulator was coming out. I logged on to MD to play a game, but they just logged in for a win.

The best way to counter this is u have handtrap like D.D Crow to banish the spell card

@@nguyendang5593 Imperm and Droplet will work even if the opponent goes first. If you negate Utopia Dragonar's effects on the field, the whole combo breaks.

so what you could do in this situation is to chain link with any quick play card when they do the combo, that card will miss timing and the bot just surrender

The hot tech for this FTK is Exchange. I've sniped so many Nibirus and Imperms with it. And you play triple Summoner Monk so can always ditch it for that if needed.

Ah, A classic FTK combo crafted by the ancient zexal era players. While incredibly basic and dull, it’s that very simplicity that makes this combo so incredibly dangerous.
One time i played against that ftk. Didn't opened handtraps but I had forbidden chalice. It only needed to chalice their Dragonar on next turn to block his eff and scooped even when he had over than 20000 LP 😅. Sadly is a bit slow for an FTK.

Sad thing is that most of the accounts using this deck are bots. Dkayed has a video on it, and every time I see one they all play exactly the same and surrender at the same time if you disrupt any of it.
