Funny thing though. They have otks(one turn kills) and ftks(first turn kills), but opening exodia in your first 5 cards has its own term, called a ztk(zero turn kill)
I believe even the death cards worked that way. Do know it’s been a good 18-20 years since I those cards were out. Never used them mind you same reason as exodia

IDK, I feel like a Exodia deck is usually gonna either OTK like this (with or without a ton of card draw) or just completely flop, I personally don't expect fun duels from Exodia, just something quick and silly.

Literally THE perfect hand. All other decks have a hand they claim "perfect" by giving all your combos you want, but none end the duel the moment the game starts except for Exodia. You can't get any more perfect than that.

one of my favorites is 4 exodia pieces and sangan. Even though their opponent attacked sangan with Blue-eyes Chaos Max Dragon, the double piercing still wasn't enough to end the duel there.

I’ve played quite a few YuGiOh games over the years, and I ended up having all 5 pieces drawn a total of 3 times, but ALL instances were from the Battle City GBA one from 2004. Twice by my deck, once by the Rare Hunter drawing it right away. And bear in mind, this was back when the ‘meta’ for Exodia was just Sangan/WoBF, so it made attacking any facedowns pretty terrifying. 😅

Each player has 3 separate decks/archetypes they can choose to play each game (ex. MC has the blue eyes deck, exodia deck, etc.) So game 7, MC lost the previous game, FO has the momentum, MC plays deck with exodia, shuffle begins, both duelists draw, MC's eyes widen, "holy shit", he draws full exodia. He wins all, the end lol

I actually did have someone opening hand exodia me in real life. It was a 12 year old with sticky, messy sleeves, so his card got stuck together. He actually offered to reshuffle and start over, but frankly I wasn't worried about losing the match so I just let him have it as long as he cleaned off his cards. This was early yugioh, so it's not like I had to worry about any sort of drawing or searching that would make me see exodia again anytime soon.
I thought there was a ruling about this where opening all 5 Exodia parts would result in the player shuffling them back and getting a new hand. Guess i was wrong or the devs didn't think of this one lol.
What I find funny about exodia decks, if you opened with 4 pieces, the hand likely would've been complete trash depending on the 5th card because the piece do nothing and you wouldn't have the nessary draw cards to get the 5th. But with the 5th you auto win.
I would happily take that loss instead of watching someone play a 15 minute round to summon 7 monsters that all cancel effects and spell/trap activation
On dueling nexus I had a deck that gave all 5 pieces to the opponent. It also used aton of effect/summon/attack negation to essentially make the enemy realize it was easier to have me give them all 5 pieces than it would be for them to win with their own cards.

Not really, ZTK just mean the opponent lost before your turn even come, it is not specific for Exodia, and Saiou in anime Gx pulled it off.
