The Best Way To Make The Snake Bite Cocktail

Recipe: (In a pint glass)
Put in 5 or 6 cubes of ice
Fill the pint glass half full with larger
Pour in apple cider until the pint glass is nearly full
Give that all a gentle stir
Fill the pint glass the rest of the way up with blackcurrant or berry dilute.
Enjoy.

You are spot on. Hydration is key, I always have about 2 pints of ice cold water beside me when filming these bad boi's.
