i use the x100v since it‘s on the market. agree in all points with u. played the last months with the thought to buy the leica q2… but why should i. yeah it‘s fuji and not a leica. in the end the x100v has everything i need. very nice video btw
Absolutely true! I had a similar experience when i started in photography, almost a decade ago. I suffered a lot from GAS , pixel pipping and pixel perfect photos to a point of obsession! I spend thousands euros on a full frame DSLR and expensive lenses for no reason (at the time i didn't even knew how to focus properly or how to edit a raw file). It took me years to reconsider myself and then i did a fresh start: i sold everything and started to shoot only with my iPhone. At the same time i spend time on photographic education and money on inspirational books about photography. And finally, on 2019 i decided to go back on a camera again, not a full frame but a camera that has everything i really need. It isn't the X100V (because i need a zoom lens) but its in the same league (Sony a6000). Nice video my friend!
I've seen so many X100V videos at this point. This one was really nicely laid out and edited. I have to say, you got some remarkable shots. Congrats on the wedding, by the way! I got the X100V when it was released and I dropped my other gear and started carrying it everywhere I go and honestly, it has been the gift (to myself) that has kept on giving.
Ive had an X100F for about a year and I fell in love with it. out of all my cameras it was the one that went with me everywhere I went and it was my favorite camera.....until I got the X100V last week. Im taking it to the Rocky Mountains tomorrow.
Nailed it: it always felt stupid to simply document your life with over the top equipment. As a consequence, I’ve always left my big guns at home. For two years, I’ve taken the x100v everywhere and it never felt too much/a burden. On the flip side, when I got back I was often amazed what came out of that little bugger. You really nailed the „who is it for“ part. Thanks.
I just watched your video about the Fuji x100v and I have to say, I completely agree with your assessment of this camera. It sounds like the perfect choice for someone who values the experience of taking photos over technical specs and resolution. The fixed lens and film recipes seem like they add a unique and nostalgicically-inspired touch to the images it captures. I also love how compact and unassuming the camera is, allowing it to blend into everyday life and capture candid, meaningful moments without intimidating the subject. It's clear that the Fuji x100v has been a game-changing camera for you and has helped you rediscover the joy of simply taking photos. Great video, thanks for sharing!
I was doing a lot of research about this camera and a few other options before making my decision. I literally teared up watching your video because of how beautiful it was and my husband said, "I think this is the one for you." Here I am today with my Fujifilm X100VI. Thank you!
Man, you nailed it for me. I went all in with a sony A7iv and 3 different lenses. It was fun but it felt like a chore or job or business anytime i picked it up and like you said i felt like i had to shoot something epic all the time. Ended up in a pickle with my car so i had to sell the A7IV setup and bought the X100V and used the rest towards a new car. Now i have a new car and im the most stoked ive ever been to take photos. I take this thing everywhere without even thinking about it. I was so tired of spending hours in lightroom and now everything is sooc.
This video makes me urgently feel I need this camera it just gives a emotional feel that words can’t explain at all they say a picture is worth a thousand words and this camera really puts that into perspective
1:20 yep, nailed it. The x100v was my gateway to actual photography. It relieved me from having the highest specced gear and it made me aware of other things more important in photography. I know it could have been any other camera to make me feel that way, but the x100v was the one for me and that’s why it is so special to me.
Same experience but with the x100T. I'd shot for years with a DSLR and never really made much progress or development in making images. The x100t's combination of portability, image quality, accessibility, and being able to see the exact outcome of your shot in the viewfinder gave me a big boost in skill level (not to mention I was shooting a LOT more), and for the first time I was able to better grasp what it took to make an interesting photo, and compose based on quality of light. I've moved on to the XT body but I doubt I'll ever be able to sell my beaten and battered x100T because of what it means to me.
I’ve had my x100vi for a couple months now and I can say I 100% agree with everything you said. Also having a Sony a7iii and a canon A-1 film camera, this is by far my favorite and I take it with me almost everywhere now. Great video and great photos my guy 👍🏻
Wow, I really appreciate your take on all of this. People get so caught up in the technical aspects of their hobbies that they forget to just enjoy them. This reminded me to just take it easy and enjoy the process. You really are right about the "everyday" photos being really special.
Never before have I seen a product review that made me so emotional. The way you spoke, expressed, and spoke concisely really touched my emotions and heart. Thank you very much! Ps: I used google translate to write this comment. Hopefully it's not too silly or confusing.
Hey man, really love the video. I've been a profesisonal photographer for almost 10 years now and have got into the habit of lugging my A7iii and Sigma 35mm 1.4 with me everywhere, so decided to get an X100V to replace that. Your video hit the nail on the head 100%, you articulated my feelings perfectly, and your video is just lovely. Thanks bro. Love from the UK.
Great video - we are all waxing poetic about the X100V, but I think in many ways, it is Fuji's image rendition and color science (not the simulations) that makes for such great images. The portability and UX is top-tier, yes, but it is how the glass (Fujinon is some of the best out there) and the X-Trans sensor combine for these timeless moments. I just wish, deep down, that more folks would move away from full-frame and adopt the APS-C Fujifilm cameras because their glass and rendition is just so unreal. Again, great video Jun!
I really love the look of your photos - of course the vibe and feel of your photos, but also the exposure and lighting in what look to be fairly challenging conditions to making a photo look as warm and intimate as yours do. For example - harsh midday light. But it's fantastic. For a relative beginner like me, I really appreciate seeing a small caption with photos showing the settings and the simulation. I know I know - focusing on the technical and missing the point? Sort of yes, but I'm still working toward making the really challenging look easy so that I too can get onto making these sorts of photos. Great video. Thanks!
Not that I didn’t want this camera already but this definitely sold me haha. Definitely relate to the way you look at photography. Your work is beautiful! Especially loved the Palm Spring ones
Perfectly said!! The dreaded loom of vacation raw files, not wanting to carry my r5, gear acquisition syndrome, etc. The only wanting to shoot epic things with expensive gear hit home. This camera is freedom.
love how you talk about the person this is for, I love my fujifilm camera b/c I can just take photos with out having to think about all that comes with it! Lovely vid!
have been coming across x100v videos recently and this one is my favorite. well put together and definitely getting closer to purchasing one. i work full-time as a photographer for cars and by the time i have free time on weekends i'm too burnt out to shoot with my Sony's. I need this to get my motivation back for myself.

Truly a great video, doing some research before buying but after the "sick of which bodies and lenses to take on vacation" I was sold, sooo many times I struggled to carry the 3 to 5kg of gear with me to just end up no taking many pictures because I couldn't be bothered to carry it around.
I’ve been kinda burnt out on photography lately(Canon R5 shooter). And this video makes me want to get one of these cameras and just go shoot again. So needless to say I’m on an inventory waitlist for them to come back in stock haha. I love the images you shared, thank you.

i really wanted an x100v but the price and the fact its sold out everywhere i decided to get the olympus xz2. fantastic camera. but i started photography on film so i never had the spec issue, whats important is the image not the camera
This is all true as hell. I struggled getting into photography purely because of the way a fatass camera looks on you. Or how you might look like a creeper on the streets or a professional of some sorts. I like how this shit makes me look like a hobbyist, not a pro, not a creeper, and not a kook who just has their phone's camera out all the time. That's the biggest selling point, along with the high degree of flexibility you get with the post-processing of the film-recipes. Having the shit on you is the most important part. I love my x100v. If there was an equivalent to it for shooting high FPS 1440p video... I'd be in that in a snap cuz i hate the x100v's lack of motion capabilties and lack of higher fps shooting.
Facts not to mention you look like a target when you’re carrying around a big pro camera. It’s just goofy and I’m past that. I can’t even imagine if it also had good video. I would never touch another camera lol
Yeah apparently this camera can’t be found anywhere. At this point I’d wait for the next iteration which will probably come out some time next year. I think Fuji will probably do better with the supply of the next model, since they’ve probably learned at this point how much in demand the V is.
i agree with the rest of the commentors here. I just checked and they're going for damn near $2,000 now on Amazon. As amazing as the camera is, I would hold out till they're either back in stock or the new iteration
ATL X100v crew. Nice video. Love my X100v for personal daily carry. Got tired of lugging around the 5D with lenses only to go back and edit a bunch that I already do some for work. Right on the nose for your message. This camera makes it fun to just go out and do your thing, try out recipes, go B+W for a day or year.
My experience with using the X100V is very similar to yours. I really enjoyed the images you presented in this video. I would be interested in how you have set up your X100V., especially the film simulation recipes that you use.
In a sea of X100V content, this one really stands out. I can really relate.
Thank you!
Agreed. This makes you feel relaxed and at home. No flashy-ness. Just genuine feeling and experience.
i use the x100v since it‘s on the market. agree in all points with u. played the last months with the thought to buy the leica q2… but why should i. yeah it‘s fuji and not a leica. in the end the x100v has everything i need. very nice video btw

guys, any recommendations for a video camera that has the x100v vibes?
if that makes sense;)

Stunning photos!!! Thanks a lot for the video! I hope I will be able to buy this camera soon
Same. Love this camera and the results. So flexible with the film recipes for the moments and RAW for epic.
Great video! Definitely looking forward to your follow up video on your common and favorite recipes.
There are some really good photos in here man ! Cheers !
loved all of the pictures, glad you found a camera you love!
Very enjoyable video and loved the results!
Wow. Felt this deep. Everything hit home. Preciate you brother.
I picked up an OG X100 3 years ago for $200, and even with it's 12mp and other shortcomings, it's still my favorite camera. Nice video 👏👏
same, it's amazing
Sounds like you hit the jackpot
Loved all the photos, good job! Very inspiring
These images are so inspiring. This will probably be the next camera I get (after the Fuji X-T3!) Thank you!

What a great video Jun … inspired the hell out of me! 😊
these are all so beutiful, 100v has a way of making anything beutiful, 7:14 and 6:50 are my favs
As someone who is considering buying this camera for my travels. This video was super helpful and inspiring. Definitely sold me on getting it.
Glad it was helpful and thanks for watching
Please make a video on your editing styles for fuji x100v !! I'm in love
See how someone really do with lots of love and passion..that content is gonna stand out from the crowd!
Great photos! I really like the greens in all your photos.

Well said! Great photos
My dude, you made me decide on the X100V, I'm patiently waiting on the 'recipe' video!
Beautiful video Junsue! Xie xie for making it 🤗

Wow. I have a Sony Alpha 7III but I don't think I will get your kind of photos; they're so full of emotions and memories.
Great video on this amazing little camera! just love it
ahhh this took me back to using my x100v and film recipes. may just get it out. cheers from KC 👊🏼
your work is insane man keep it up
Props for being real 🙏🏼
Great video man. I am also a videographer and love taking photos for fun. I recently went on a personal trip and used my a7iii (that I use for weddings for timelapses etc) and I found it was too bulky and I lost momentum and time with editing the photos I wanted to post immediately. I got the x100v a couple days ago and I AM IN LOVE.
Awesome man, very aesthetic and deep!
Great video! Direct. To the point. Minimal. Which was the exact feeling I got when I made the purchase today. Thank you good sir.

But the resulting photos and fun using film cameras is just something different. If I sold all my film gear, I’d prob be ok keeping just my Nikon L35AF…. which is about the same size as a X100v.

i love your content, really simple and informative! God Bless You

i really wanted an x100v but the price and the fact its sold out everywhere i decided to get the olympus xz2. fantastic camera. but i started photography on film so i never had the spec issue, whats important is the image not the camera
This is all true as hell. I struggled getting into photography purely because of the way a fatass camera looks on you.
