Matthew 13:24-30, 36-43. I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. Today is July 23, 2023. Today is The 8th Sunday after Pentecost. This was our Gospel Lesson of the Day. It was also the basis for our Sunday School Lesson of the Day. It was entitled, "The Weeds Among the Wheat." The hymn, "Restore in Us, O God," is a good hymn to compliment this passage. And on this day, let us pray for gardeners and landscape professionals, and also for people society judges and excludes.

      Matthew 13:38
      [38]The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;
The Lord explains it right there. What that parable mange is that he takes out the tires first which is the wicked ones then his wheat into the barn that's the righteous ones so the first ones are taken out raptured into the lake of fire and his righteous into the barn waiting the new heaven and a new Earth

The holy land is a Mediterranean climate with winter rains. The Devil had to have planted the weeds the same time as the sower, in the fall many months before harvest. Jesus planted during the day, the Devil sowed during cover of darkness and his bad deeds weren’t discovered until harvest, many months later.

They are separated at the same time, at the harvest of souls in verse 30. We are told in verses 39&40 that the harvest is at the end of the age (end of the world in KJV) and then one more time that was not read in verse 49 of Matthew 13. Pastor Stan choose not to highlight when the harvest was, so maybe he is pre-trib. .
However, clearly this teaching must be post-trib. by its very nature. If you figure in that Jesus himself told us 4 times in John 6:39,40,44&54 that he will "raise them up on the last day".
This matches the conversation of Martha and Jesus had in John 11:24-25, "I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day." Jesus replied "I am the resurrection..." then went on to raise Lazarus.

      Evil is bundle together first.
Notice Jesus had nowhere to lay his head...
Luke 9:58 And Jesus said unto him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.
Evil has dens and nests... Evil is bundled together in groups, but Jesus' followers are scattered.
Mark 14:27 And Jesus saith unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered.
When are the sheep brought back together? When the shepard returns.
Until then stay aware of bundles.
Matthew 10:16 Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as [unto] serpents, and harmless as doves.

Weeds are hated by the sower, but loved by the other person that sows who is Satan. God sows and so does Satan, it shows that either we are wheat that truly follow Jesus Christ, or we are weeds that follow Satan and are inspired by Satan.

Matthew 13:24 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:
Matthew 13:25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.
Matthew 13:26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.
Matthew 13:27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?
Matthew 13:28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?
Matthew 13:29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.
Matthew 13:30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.
_Jesus sown the good seed. Right after the enemy came and sown the tares among the good seed._
_Good seed = the four Gospels; Matthew, Mark, Luke, & John._
_The tares were sown then after._
_Everyone knows Jesus came and sown the good seed. And everyone knows who came right after Jesus and sown much seed intermingled with what Jesus had sown._
_Many people (instead of following what Jesus had sown) insist upon following that which was sown after Jesus._

The doctrines come from the ruling Elite who are the tare making Mama Nature bare. Teaching us to call by an empty name that means material, Mother. Meanwhile the elite profit from Dada's wheat Mama grows land animal and we. Mama loves Dada's wheat not mans tare we can see being gross everywhere. Judgement comes for mans not Dada. Hear your children speak your name. That is real fruit and life. That is love.

To understand the parable of the Wheat and the Tares it's critical to understand what the Jews of Jesus' day believed would happen right after the coming of the Messiah. After ousting the Romans, there was to be huge court hearing called the Judgment of "Fire." This "fire" was not literal, but a metaphor representing the intensive scrutiny the Messiah would apply to the ACTIONS of every person, in order to determine who would be granted citizenship in the independent, earthly, eternal, theocratic Jewish State the Messiah would begin establishing, and who would be exiled.

The Apostle Paul explained what would happen at the Judgment in I Corinthians 3:11-15. The judgment "fire" would "burn up" all the WORKS of people (make a note--NOT the PEOPLE THEMSELVES) which are either patently evil OR works that were only superficially good, because they were, for example, only done for show! (As when Jesus explained how the Pharisees loved to make donations for others to see, those who had "already received their reward"!
Now, if a person had repented of sins beforehand, then he would be forgiven and still admitted to citizenship, BUT there would be NO REWARDS if all his works were otherwise deemed unworthy! Of course, of those who had repented of sins and, from there, gone on to perform good works from a sincere heart, there would be rewards too, like getting a really good job in the new government of the Messiah, and a nice mansion to boot!
Paul used the metaphor of "wood, hay and stubble" to represent the works that would be burned up, and "gold, silver and precious stones' to represent the purely good works.
What, then, happens to those who don't get citizenship? Well, they are expelled and exiled from the Kingdom until they can prove they have repented and later on, come back for an appeal! (Though Jesus made it clear sinners and publicans would win their appeals long before the Pharisees, who would be the LAST to get in!) Now, let's look at the parable of the Wheat and the Tares which, just so it's clear, was first spoken in Aramaic, then translated into Greek and finally, re-translated into English...which makes it a bit difficult to understand the antecedents! The parable talks about the "things that offend." THINGS, the WORKS that will not prove worthy and will be "burned up." In many English translations, it's easy to confuse what happens to the Things That Offend and Those Who Practice Lawlessness, because of the strange word order. But in the original Aramaic, it's clear it will be the WORKS That Offend that will be "burned up in the fire," and the PEOPLE who practiced lawlessness will be exiled.
The good news is that one need not understand Aramaic or Greek grammar to be so sure it's not the people who will be burned? Here's why: Because PEOPLE getting burned alive don't just merely cry, as their teeth are chattering!!! People getting burned alive are screaming at the top of their lungs, and they are most certainly NOT so COLD that their teeth begin to CHATTER!
NO! What Jesus was trying to say is that there will be a whole bunch of very religious people at the Judgment who, because they were so outwardly religious, will be fully expecting, not only citizenship, but many rewards for all their superficial pious acts...but who will be very shocked and dismayed when they see all of their "pious" works go up in smoke! Then, they will be escorted out, and sent into exile, "tossed out into the cold" as it were! So, as they are being sent away they will be begin to cry uncontrollably ("weeping"), and as they find themselves on the outs of the Kingdom of God, "in the cold," their teeth will begin to chatter ("gnashing of teeth")!
Oh, but how the false preachers and teacher of today love to distort the meaning of this parable, trying to make is seem like God is some sort of Cosmic Nazi who plans to torture people in the worst possible way, for eternity, by taking advantage of the ignorance most people have about the beliefs of the Jews in Jesus' day, and the poor language employed (perhaps not by accident) in so many bible translations!

I’ve always thought the wheat is our new born again Spirit (who we really are in Christ) & the tares are our old man of the flesh. Just like today we have to put off the old man & put on the new man, well at the end of all this God is going to permanently put off our old man through fire & then who we truly are in the Spirit (the new man, new creation) will shine bright in our Father’s kingdom. We will finally be set free from all that which came from Adam. We will be that new seed of Jesus alone with no more hindrance.

@Pastor Stan, you do not have the fullness of the gospel which is why you don’t have the full understanding of the Parable of the Wheat and the Tares. There are a lot more books/records than your 66 book bible (see 2 Esdras 14:44-48 (KJV)). If you desire the full understanding, I recommend you read Doctrine and Covenants 86:1-11; The Sealed Portion The Final Testament of Jesus Christ (TSP) 65:1-5 and also The Words of Mormon verses 22-23. The referenced books are all our Hebrew Israelites ancient records. Please note that The Holy Bible which includes the Apocrypha are the Southern Kingdom’s records (Judah, Benjamin and Levi) which were located in northeast Africa and The Book of Mormon aka The Stick of Joseph in the Hand of Ephraim are the Northern Kingdom’s records which are the 10 Tribes of Israel located in the Americas. For your awareness, these two sticks/books will be joined together in these last days to form one stick (see Ezekiel 37:15-20 (KJV). :-)

Sadly, it is the organized religions/churches of the world that have caused so many to stumble. This is why we must come to Him as a little child and be led by the Ruach (Holy Spirit) so that He can teach us His truth because we truly have been destroyed for a lack of knowledge (see Matthew 18:3-6 (KJV); Hosea 4:6 (KJV)). Again, I would encourage you to read and study the biblical sources that I have referenced; nevertheless, it is your freewill or free agency to not recognize those referenced biblical sources.
