You have used the li-ion battery but if the battery looses it's charge where is the provision for it's charge? Further I have practical experience of this setup in which the clock works to the maximum of 3to 4 months only after that the li-ion battery requires charging.

Not proven yet, wait till 10 years
logic already proven, the power consumption is 400 micro ampere from a 1000mah battery, this is checked using digital multimeter in mico ampere option.

Your calculations is not wrong.
The battery give a power supply for 10 years.
But every battery discharge automatically continuously with time. so the battery can not run upto 10 years.
If the battery doesn't discharge Automatically the it gives 10 years backup.
@@CreativeInventorlab How did you arrive at 10 years?? My calculation only yield about 100 days! Working: 1000mah=1Ah=1,000,000microampereh/400microampere=2500 hours or only 104 days equivalent
