Thank you for this tutorial I cut the pattern out yesterday and the sewing instructions made me feel super overwhelmed. I haven't used a pattern in a long time and I am so happy to see your tutorial because it made me feel more confident. I won't be using the surgery though I only have a sewing machine. Wish me luck!
@@rickrackruby3500 i made them! Thank you for your help. I watched your video and paused step by step. I made a size small but the legs from knee down is baggy. Do you experience that too? But the waistband is a bit tight going over the hips but fits good once in my waist. I'm thinking of altering the pattern to have XS from leg down and maybe medium for the waistband 🤔
Phorcydes T They fit me pretty well - but YES - go ahead and adjust for your next pair. Also, I find that the super supportive ponte knit has a tighter fit in the waist and trunk area. I’ve made the same size with French terry and it is looser. So I would say to have fun with it! Try different things!
Thank you so much for doing this tutorial. I have had this pattern for at least a year and bought fabric about 7 months ago but as I’m still a learner, I’ve been scared to do it. Your tutorial made it easy. However, I did made two mistakes. The first was going over the fabric where it was bulky. You did give a warning about it but I completely forgot as I overlocked it. I did the second side right. My next silly mistake was putting the waistband on wrong. Had to correct that and made a bit of a mess but at least I can still wear them. I’ll definitely make them again. X❤️
Hi Shirley! I have made probably twelve pairs of these leggings. The waistband is always tricky because the front is a little wider than the back. I have to double-check it EVERY SINGLE TIME!!!!
I made tights for my daughters for dance class and under dresses. I now want to make this pattern for myself I am 64 and my pattern is on order. I have lycra on hand.
I’m so glad to see you!🥰 I love the leggings! The fabric is too cute! I don’t have serger but I really enjoy listening to your tutorial. I love how detailed you are.🤗💕
Thank you so much! I've been trying to teach myself some more sewing techniques and my pattern came missing a page! Thanks for doing this tutorial, it's so easy to follow!!!
Hi, I just got this pattern and would like to find some fabric for it. I'm finding it hard to order fabric online without seeing it and touching it. So I have not started this project yet. But my question to you is about size. If you normally wear a medium would you cut this size for medium. My measurements are falling between 2 different sizes. Of course I don't want it too loose or too tight and it's hard to rip out I find stitches on stretch fabric to me to re do it. Suggestions?
Hi Marianne! That’s a tough one. I am usually a small and I find the small OR the medium works fine. Some fabrics have a tighter “elastic” feel and pull me in like a pair of spanx. Other fabrics are more relaxed and don’t really squeeze. So, I would say to consider what you like. (Tight squeeze or relaxed) and then YES feel the fabric and pull on it to determine how tight it will be. I definitely recommend using a high-quality knit. You don’t want the fabric to be thin. Consider the “squat test.” If you are wearing the leggings and you squat down you don’t want the fabric to stretch out to expose your panties... or worse. Have fun. This is a great pattern!!!
Went too fast after sewing the pocket and side together. It would have been better to see what they looked like laid flat. It might have been better to show what it looked like after you sewed the third part on. Maybe laid out flat on a table so we could see the whole thing before joining the side seams/crotch area. I would have not gotten very far without your tutorial. The instructions were not very clear for D, for me and I am still learning. Thank you so much for all of your hard work in helping us.
Hi Yose! Thank you for your advice. I am still learning about how to make a video tutorial. I have been thinking about creating a new one from the same pattern but a different view. I will try to be more clear. XO
Best instructions yet. Love how you explain in detail.
Thank you PL!
Love the fabric!
Thanks Pam!
Awww what a cool college roommate you had 🤓❤️
Thank you so much you're such a blessing first time I don't understand a pattern from simplicity and thank God you're here to guide me
You Can Make This, Vilma!!!

@@rickrackruby3500 I used a 4 way stretch faux leather. I'm excited to try different stretchy fabrics!

Which style did you use? (A-D)
I used view D. It’s the most basic!
