Every time I see your video, my heart goes right out to you because I had bladder cancer but non invasive. I’m still not understanding all the phases but every day I wake up and think of it coming back. I believe talking about your procedures, helps. And I pray every day that you will soon beat this. You are one strong man. Bless you and I’m praying for you 😢
I have just finished Gemcitabine and Docetaxel treatments. Long story, I am extremely tired also. Had 2 full treatments of bcg and then switched doctors. Went to Gemcitabine treatments for 6 treatments, then 3 treatments and then 3 more. Had Cystoscopy Friday and declared free of cancer. Now 3 month Cystoscopy. Non muscular to begin. People do not realize how tired a person can get. Keep praying, God loves you
Some comments are talking about 6-weeks of treatment. Does that mean six infusions of Gemcitabine? I've got pancreatic cancer stage 2B. I'm on Gemcitabine too, but my regime is six months. I go every Tuesday for three weeks then get a week off treatment. Then rinse-and-repeat for a total of six (monthy) cycles, totalling 18 treatments. Seems strange if you're only having 4-6 treatments as opposed to the standard 18. Still, if it was possible, I'd rather be doing Gem over the much shorter period. Gem and all chemo is torrid. Good luck with your recovery Matt. Craig (Midlands).
I had to subscribe. Having my second TURBT to remove a recurring NMIBC. I am in South Korea and this time the doctor is starting me on Gemcitabine treatments. I am very sensitive to pain for some reason and quite nervous about the next 6 weeks. I have went through all your videos and they have help tremendously because I know you are 100% upfront. I know your situation is much worse as you are also dealing with MS. I am 66 years old and also thought I was invincible. Thank you for your videos. If have other video suggestion please let me know.
I also just had my second TURBT and will start 6 weeks of the same treatment. I am also nervous about the treatment. But I guess the positive is that's it's all time limited. Fortunately I am self employed so if I have to take a day off every week, I'm not going to worry about the work not getting done. Since you posted this months ago, how did it go for you?
my brother was runover on his motorcyle. While getting his hip and saroma checked out they found something wacky with his labs. Ends up he has High Grade Urothial Squamous Cell- differentiated- bladder cancer; non-muscle invasive. I freaked out when I read about the BCG shortage and thank God the doc got his full treatment amount of that stuff. Then went with him for most of his first six BCG treatments so he could lay down ans flip every fifteen mins on the hour ride back home so he'd only have another hour of flipping at home. Next cytoscope is July 25th I think and pray it is gone-gone. He had an allergic reaction to antibiotics after his second TURBT and I worry about his future😢

I had one session and said hell no. I had bleeding and pain. I have low grade and don’t feel the damage done from chemo is worth the price.

I was diagnosed with bladder cancer two weeks ago. Going to MD Anderson next week. Enjoy your videos.

Glad that you got thru this chemo session and can talk about it! Get some rest today and tomorrow will be better!

It's a rough road at this stage, lots of finding out. I hope it's good news.
Thanks and I sincerely wish the very best for you
Nice 👍
Thanks for the visit
Do you have high grade or low grade? Is that Gemtacibine only or with combo?
I'm not sure on grade, probably low. It was Gem and Docetaxel
@@survivor.mattcalkins How are you doing these days? Has the chemo combo helped?
