I'm reminded of the older days when players kept telling me that the Mosquito Needle was the best weapon in the game because it had lifesteal. I feel like they were using it with the Weevil Shield without parrying.
Yeah, it was good. This list is obviously for great perfect blockers, but the mosquito needle was definitely needed beginning of the game when you were still working out perfect blocking. It enabled us to go into red and black ants nests and easily do the hedge and haze labs. Just a bit too weak for the sandbox though, or wolf spiders. The bone dagger was best for them.
I think there's an argument that mosquito needle and tiger mosquito needle are good in that they can absolutely trivialise certain fights to the point where even with a dozen stabbing weak enemies attacking you at once you can just keep stabbing and don't even need to block
@@someoneweird4439 a thousand small cuts can kill just as quick as one large one. No matter what weapon you have, you tend to just go in swinging whatever weapon. Those weapons just help in you don’t waste smoothies until needed for a real fight. Same goes with the best armour, Widow armour, which I use 90% of the time.
I’d rather have a slow fight that saves me the bandages I swear by the life-steal effect. Ik they’re not tier 2 but the tiger mosquito rapier and the tick macuahuitl are at least b tier for the tier 3+ gear. Longevity in ng+ is paramount and the only thing it doesn’t really work on is the inf broodmother. But paired with a summoner second player, it does “sort of”work at ng+2
I know Paralyzer hates the bows but I used them a lot and it’s more useful than he thinks. Yea it’s not a dps machine but when I need to kill something stronger than me, distance control and always hitting my mark really helps. I struggled with perfect parrying for a long time and the arrows helped me a lot. Plus on some insects (idk if all of them have it) have weak points. Hit them and you can deal bonus damage. It’s fun too.
The red ant scepter seems like its only really good with the red strategist armor. Since your summons stay alive longer, your enemies will take more summon thorns damage.
I really only use the bow for utility like shooting down berries at the hedge or the pupa larva and to aggro insects like bees that fly cus I can't reach them otherwise. Sure you can do the same with the crossbow but the regular bow is faster so you can pop off more shots in a shorter time. In summary: Crossbow: Killing Bow: Utility and aggro
Unrelated but I need to know, can I poison red ant, befriend the other 2 in main then befriend red and poison other 2 and still get tier 3 antbassador when I befriend red in ng1?
just a heads up, the feather arrow isnt pricey in the slightest... the feather can be collected on the spawn points, just a few run required and the silk rope...😑 come on the most enemies you kill are the larvas AND the spiders, they all give cobweb so 4 spinning-wheel on a base and you have unlimited supply of them from late early game...
@@Khaizen10 umm no, most enemies everyone off are spiders, orbwaiver, jr orb waiver, spiderlings, divingbell spidey, the black widow and widowligs... the map is filled with them
@@Azurie-e9s um, no. Upper yard has almost no spiders compared to the other creatures there. The Sandbox has one spider. Haze has very few spiders. Maybe check the most prominent creatures by using the resource surveyor instead of saying random stuff. The silk rope isn’t even the main problem, it’s the feathers.
@@Khaizen10 yes it has, the bicycle tire has a bunch of orbwavers, the corner of the shad has also orb waver and jr spawns and the undershad has a casm with 20 or more orb wavers down there, and a bunch of black widowling spawn areas too with the few black widows themselves... Spider enemy is the most common enemy type, maybe the ants could compete but they are localized to certain specific areas... same for larvas
@@Khaizen10 the feathers are easy to find, the haze close to the weed killer tank next to the wolfie cave, other side too of the tank, some of the ditches has some feather too, the area where you enter the hedge under that water holder concrete thingy, the pond gazebo, the mystery machine, in a few runs you can have more than enough by early mid game, you just dont know the game, and clearly have no idea what you are talking about, git gud noob
All the weapons including ranged 😂😂 why so much hate for rang3d bro, ranger is incredibly strong in multiplayer especially if you have all 4 and are at the bard set.

Mosquito needle is decent under water when dealing with diving bells i found - basically can't die lol

Pretty sure as long as you befriend all of them at some point you’re fine, but not 100% sure you should prolly research more.
How do you upgrade phases for whittle wizard?
