Great game! Always nice to get some new jerseys. I miss out on that in my leagues since the jerseys are always provided for the season and then turned back in. Would be fun to be on a true beer league team with jerseys and the same group of people. Though it's fun always meeting new people as well.
It's also nice not having to buy Jerseys every other season. Then again we had a Jersey sponsor for this round. I don't know what women's hockey is like but I have been in a toxic locker room before with teammates yelling at each other more than the refs. It is nice to be able to choose not to be on a team with the 1 or 2 players that can ruin the environment. TBH the senior league is pretty good about that. Most of the players have aged out of that. To my knowledge I have the biggest mouth on the ice and I am usually just trying to make people laugh.
@@NerdrageHockey Yeah, I can imagine it would be nice to be able to avoid people that were being toxic. I can't speak for other women's leagues, but these two have been pretty great so far. If people made a habit of yelling at people in dressing rooms, they'd likely be risking their spot in the league. The most toxicity I run in to is certainly the times I've been in co-ed tournaments. Sometimes the guys there can get a bit too worked up over charity tournaments. Bit ridiculous, honestly. I'd go mad if I had to deal with that all the time. lol
