If you don't have a drill or are unable to use one, you could just heat the tip of a screwdriver over the stovetop and just melt a hole through the cap. I've done this a few times myself.
I have been searching for so long to find out how to make a DIY hamster water bottle, and this is the only one that actually works! Thank you so much for sharing this!
How would I adjust this to a Guinea pig cage? Such a brilliant idea, but I don't know where to put it in a way that my Guinea pig would be able to drink it 😫
+Mario T it's good you tried it & it worked. Sorry it took this long to respond, but I rarely go into this channel unless I make videos. I haven't made one in a very long time. Have fun! "679"
Ya that part is easy but it's for my cat. I was hoping someone would come up with some life hack but guess i will have to do it the bungee cord around the table leg :(
Nurul Husna I think you can get like a really thin belt (less width) and kind of like tie/buckle it to the water bottle's butt and then hang it vertically from the crate
I really liked your idea for a homemade bottle and am going to try it myself for my hamster. I wanted you ask you if you know how to attach the water bottle in a wire cage?
sorry, you know what's funny is I completely missed posting that part of the video & I was hoping no one would ask, haha! Well, I hope you can visualize the directions, but I have 2 ideas if it's on a wire cage. The bottle has to be upside down, there's a bottom of the bottle & the bottle neck. 1st idea: I would use those 4" wire bread ties & twist them all together until I have the length I need. So, the shorter wire will be used for the bottle neck. Tie one side around the bottle neck & looping around it is unnecessary, so just a U shape is fine. Do the same thing for the bottom side up which will require more wire. (to be continued)
2nd idea: I'd use a wire hanger then cut to bend them the same way I would with the wire bread ties & U shape them as well...at the end of each U I'll be bending maybe a loop on each side of the wire or hooks so it would be easier to remove. Hey, good luck, have fun, & be safe making these!
How nice, just perfect for now until I can get a pet one. I have 2 squirrels and as I went to change their water it broke and went everywhere. I think I put it too low though. If anything they can lay down and drink it.
Hey what's up buddy just stopping by to say what's up see how u are doing haven't heard from you in a while hopefully all is well and still playing Blanka talk to you later take care
He got it from a galaxy far far away from here, it took him 10yrs just to get that bottle and another 100 days to wait in line in fucking Target and Wallmart

Nice idea, thanks, God bless in Christ Jesus Mighty Name, AMEN

does the water leak out into the bedding? i don't want my bedding to soil quicker...
Do this with the end cap of a PVC pipe and you can make a self watering system for multiple cages.
OH WOW! Thank you so much for making this video!! I love how simple it is, yet so handy for my bun!🐰
Awesome! I was making water dispenser for rabbits from 2 plastic bottles but your approach is perfect and almost free! Great job.
Thank so much for sharing this , this is the only one on UA-cam !!!
Shawn Castillo yes really needed to know how to make that
How would I adjust this to a Guinea pig cage?
Such a brilliant idea, but I don't know where to put it in a way that my Guinea pig would be able to drink it 😫
Cut a hole in the top of the cage and dangle it down if it's a small enough cage.
now I don't have to go to Petco!! yay
sabertooth gamer I still need to go unfortunately cause it doesn't work for my hamster.;-;

Great idea, thanks for sharing, I just made one waterer today to see if my guinea pig can use it.

Yes it worked very well!!
+Mario T how did you hang it up to like your guinea pig can drink it
+Mario T it's good you tried it & it worked. Sorry it took this long to respond, but I rarely go into this channel unless I make videos. I haven't made one in a very long time. Have fun!

RandomRaptor679 would it work with new, NEW born kittens becuse maybe her mom will not feed her please respond shes giving birth!!!!!!!RIGHT NOW! 😬
Good work
Sorry if this is a dumb question but how do you install it or hang it.... Any ideas? Thank you!
Tape I guess...
Ya that part is easy but it's for my cat. I was hoping someone would come up with some life hack but guess i will have to do it the bungee cord around the table leg :(
Allison W you could use wire to hang it on a cage from the top
Ya i never really thought of that. I can use a hanger andwrao it around then hang it from the metal rod in my table. Going to try that! Ty.
***** your idea is a good one actually. Thank you.
I use an empty Kikkoman soy sauce bottle (the kind that has a red screw top with two small spouts). Just fill with water and invert!
Thanks for sharing with the public how u make a drinking bottle for animals! :-)
So simple yet so great. Thanks!
good idea ! thanks

He can drink from a small bowl
Lol give him a bowl dude
lmaoooo

This was great ! I'll give it a try soon.
Sweet! And looks so easy. Thank u so much
I think it should be curved like the gravity bottle spouts are, too much water straight down the throat might not be good?
😯wow!I wished I would've seen this before I bought my hamster bottle for my little pekingese Nikkie 🙂🐕🐕♥️💵
Thanks for posting, this is exactly what I was looking for. Let me try and will post the results too.
Liar.
.....Liar pants on fire...
Is easier to teach a rabbit to use this system than it is to teach some humans to do basic stuff.
good idea it has worked for my bunny! thanks
How did you hang the bottle? Can you send some pic? I made one for my bunny but it seems they still can't figure it out though
Nurul Husna I think you can get like a really thin belt (less width) and kind of like tie/buckle it to the water bottle's butt and then hang it vertically from the crate
ItsFoxy - Be Original you can add 4 belts to make it be straight bc its gonna leak if it isnt straight.
