I am a proud A+ certified hell desk worker, this guy spits fact, listen to him.
Man! I respect and glad that there are few people like you are more powered and motivated.
The goal is to level up!
Brutal and Strong words should be taken as inspiration
Harsh, but true, in my case, I am glad I encountered this youtube channel "Network Engineer Academy", I was hyped, and stayed away from pure helpdesk roles, I targeted NOC positions, and now a Network Engineer
Wow, Jorge's advice actually worked? Nice to hear.
Whatever happened to him
Watch this video about Jorge. Really fun!
CCNA and other Udemy courses ARE worth it... this is why

Haha just to clarify, I didn't enroll in any of his class, and I don't agree on some of his videos, cause it sounds like marketing. I just stumbled on one of his videos, early on. Somehow, that grind mentally he is showing in one of those videos gets stuck in my head.
@@ljavierg18 He became an azure cloud networking engineer
Harsh reality. The worst thing about it is that it suffocates all your talents that it becomes impossible to crawl out.
Thanks for the video. I'm in the "moving away from help desk" category so this helps. My goal is to eventually move to cloud / DevOps engineer.
Thanks man! Good luck on your Cloud/DevOps journey.
Hey man the job market is tough companies don't just hire anyone to be a network admin. you have to get certifications and gain skills to even get your foot in the door which is obviously Help desk or Tech support. Also there is the CCST which I recommend before getting the CCNA it could help land a help desk job.
I will make a video “How to really skip Helpdesk”
Many people was able to skip helpdesk, so going for helpdesk job 1st is not an excuse.
Great video, thanks.
Glad you liked it! Thanks!
Thanks for this!
Appreciate the support! Glad you like the video.
thanks for the video. kinda stuck if i go CCNA or go straight to CCNP. My current exp is on network technician and my goal to land a job in security
If you have network exp already and you want faster way to level up. Going straight CCNP is not a bad idea.
If you want to the slower way CCNA then CCNP. $300 more expensive though
I'm planning to take CompTIA A+ just for decoration on my resume. But I don't understand why it has to be absurdly expensive! feels like a scam, two exams for an entry level cert?
Much more expensive than CCNA. I already have both CCNA and CyberOps and I was surprised with the price of A+
If you are already a CCNA and Cisco Certified CyberOps. No point getting A+. Dont waste your time and money. Go for CCNP or a higher level cert.
Dean, I achieved escape velocity from the help desk about a 1.5 years ago. Was always my goal to leave though, thanks for your perspective.
I am currently going for my 350-401 ENCOR, but was planning on pairing it with the 300-435 ENAUTO ... I have enjoyed working with Meraki API/Python Scripting/Postman in my current role as a Network Engineer. Along with that, pretty confident that those dev skills will future-proof me in some regard. Do you think the ENAUTO is worth going for, or would you still opt for 300-440 ENCC?
Well done! Good for you man! Nah! Not many use case of network automation in an enterprise environment compared to DC.
ENCC is the bet concentration for CCNP Ent. I’ve just completed class.
@@StyxShow What about ccnp data center? or ccnp security?
which help or advice can you offer someone who doesn't have the finances to do these certifications
Hmm.. AWS Certifications are affordable. I would definitely go for that path

Hey Armada, Hope you are doing great.
I am preparing for CCSI exam. I am CCNA certified and more certification. I have been delivering training for 2 years.
Do you have idea about CCSI exam. I have seen your old video about CCSI.
Kindly suggest me.
Thankyou.
Hmmm. Its been 15yr already. I remember I had to take a half day CCNA lab exam. Like a CCIE but remote. Then, deliver a presentation to the Instructor proctor
@@StyxShow Do you have current updates about it.
No more updates on how to be CCSI nowadays.
I recently obtained my CCNA and I’m currently on the helpdesk.
I want to be a network engineer and specialize on something, idk what yet.
I’m looking at the AWS Cloud Architect cert next to eventually obtain AWS Advanced Networking and a ccnp.
Some security certs as well.
My questions are:
Is this track a good one?
Will the AWS Cloud architect complement my ccna knowledge?
What do you recommend?
funny! im also aiming this path but with AZURE
Hi! Simple answer “Yes”. Also check out this videos:

Tbh, even of you want to do help desk, is Comptia A+ even really helpful? From what I hear, the material is not only outdated, but the questions are too surface level and trivia based to actually test you on your skills.
It's not even cheap either, so real loser cert right there.
@@cloudstrife7521 you said kniwkedge. Well if that's the case, good to hear it amounted to something.
Mind you, I didn't take the test or see all the questions. I was going off of the questions that I saw and what I've heard people say.
You can’t believe how many people will defend A+ as useful certification. Thanks for acknowledging its a loser cert!
Many successful IT professionals didn’t go with A+
