The stamina it takes to be backfooded 70% of the fight, switching stances, reading the opponent movement, and having a jumping karate stance for 25 min is crazy
Yo no estoy de acuerdo. Se cansa mucho más pegando aunque sean sólo puñetazos que saltando y corriendo donde el ritmo lo pones tú. Sólo tienes que tener un poco de sentido para no quedar arrinconado en ese inmenso ring.
Had more faith in the titanic to be fair. UK fighters have been mediocre. Only time they get near the top is when the overall talent is lower than usual.
I didn't know who either of these guys were and I am less than a casual watcher of combat sports, and I found this to be a very exciting fight. I was on the edge of my seat (figuratively speaking) the entire time. Sure, a knockout would have been fun to see, but the performance from both men was very impressive, and I'm never upset about someone not getting seriously hurt. Thompson is in his 40s, his mind is still sharp, he hasn't taken any serious damage and he's able to to compete with guys in their 20s. If he's in this good of shape when he retires - to have made it through an entire career of fighting the best fighters in the world and come out clean - that's the biggest W, in my opinion.
Literally lad been in the gym with him he wasn't able to wrestle or sprawl for his past 3 fights but would just go in cuz he has mad confidence and Is really good but needed to take a break alot earlier man it's sad
Surprise they still have this fight on tape. I assumed all recordings of this bout would have been scrubbed from existence so as not to bring the reputation of UFC into disrepute. This fight stunk to high heavens haha
Having never seen either of these fighters, I don't understand all the criticism. Missing weight is shitty, but the fight was not. They are both strikers and rightfully respected the threat from their opponent. It was a very even match-up and, although it was certainly disappointing for Thompson to take the loss, I have to imagine he enjoyed himself. He loves to test himself and he was certainly tested in this one. They both were, which is what makes it come across as "boring" to so many people
@@STRmw2 In what way was he unsportsmanlike? They shook hands, smiled at each other hugged, Till quieted the crowd when they booed Thompson for the eye-poke. Not having seen him before, I can't say whether he has behaved differently in other fights, but I thought they both seemed respectful of their opponent.
If Wonder Boy had been less cautious in his career and let it all go more often, he could have been one of the Greatest. He was always just so apprehensive.
Wonderboy is one of the most patient counter strikers I have ever seen, which ironically plays a lot into his detriment of his losses. He waits so much on the outside hoping for you to blits in recklessly but if you are also a patient punter striker like Till it comes down to who’s will to engage first or take a chance and usually that’s not gonna be wonderboy.
The problem with Darren Till is.. He is scared and has always had trouble with that one emotion..Fear. That's why that one fight he won he was shouting " I'm not scared " He was deflecting. He's always trying to conquer fear He never believed in his ability and strength the same way a wild Gorilla 🦍 does "Doubt" is a heavy burden.

That's one of those fights that was really exciting on paper, but ends up a high level chess match and boring. Tough fight to score too, although giving Darren 4 rounds seemed a bit much
For those wondering about the downfall of Till ill explain. He has had a bad ACL from before UFC but it got worse n worse. He didn’t want to stop training/fighting so he pushed through it and ended up destroying his knee and not being able to wrestle/ train fully for his fights
UFC really needs to stop doing highlights while fighters are speaking to each other after the fight. We want to see what the hell they're saying to each other! Highlights can wait!

Not for people with good cardio , grappling will drain your body more , if you run 5 or 6 miles a day you won't fatigue unless your grappling .

The downfall of Darren Till is worse than titanic
Imagine if he was more disciplined, he'd have material to still be champ until this day.

I’m English and always thought he was overhyped and overrated personally.
The most tragic downfall in ufc history

Incredible walkout with that song but went on with terrible performance.
Soooooper boring match...
Why would the UFC even post this? He didn't make weight, he arguably lost, and it was a boring fight on top of that.
They just added this version of till to the game
Arguably lost if you're blind. He outstruck, pressured the whole fight and scored the only knockdown. Till won.
