      He made an nfl practice squad lol , he’s better then 99.99% of trolls online who try hard to find excuses why he’s not good . Let the man play the sport for a few years then we can discuss his legacy , rugby is such a different sport then American football , comparing them isn’t intelligent , a few specific skills like catching , agility , vision of openings in blockers can carry over , if you say a man wasn’t on England’s national team equals a bad player is the same as stupidly saying any nfl player not on the all star team couldn’t be good at rugby professionally abroad , that would be stupid to say if that none all star was agile and very fast against top competition but didn’t make one team picking the top few in each position .

      NFL, Rugby Union, Rugby league. Can one transition back and forth? The often asked question. The answer is both Yes and No. One can go from Rugby to Football, but not vice versa.
      I referee Rugby Union in Canada and US. Played both Football and Rugby Union. I observe, 1) American football players don’t last physically in the game due to poor tackling habits. ua-cam.com/video/TyDpjjarQ5Q/v-deo.html (American footballers trying to Union are always being carted off, can pick them out during warmups), 2) American players are anaerobically conditioned, they’re knackered after 5 minutes (I can see it in their eyes) ua-cam.com/video/12ruyY7hq5k/v-deo.html 3) American football players don’t offload, at all. They’re easy targets. ua-cam.com/video/DGn_tQUi-mw/v-deo.html, and 4) Rugby tackles are as hard and harder than NFL. ua-cam.com/video/iKnf4xbV4Ak/v-deo.html.
      American footballers get eaten alive in Rugby Union.
      Oh - and they play through injury, ua-cam.com/video/6xvEEFHwJRg/v-deo.html - none of that laying down for 5 minutes bullshit.

    Both are great sports and share a common origin, the reigning olympic 15 man rugby gold medalists are the USA . It was a college team that turned up and has to have the rules explained to them. 1912 I think.

    They’re going to have a hard time making the 53 man roster. They should expand the 53 man roster to 54 with one slot reserved for an international player. Otherwise they’re almost always going to be reduced to preseason and practice squad and never get any real game time which is what the fans want

    I remember him getting capped for England against Argentina in 2013 and he played like a scrum half. He was everywhere.
    I think today's England team is too small to accommodate Wade's attributes. He deserved a proper run in the England team though.
    I saw his lovely TD on youtube.
    I'm not a fan of NFL but I hope he fufills his goals in the sport.

      I've watched Christian wade for ages, I think the first time I saw him was at the Twickenham double header when wasps were still in london, I've played rugby for 11 12 years now ( I'm 16 ) and have loved and never want to stop, but I tried American football out at local team, I enjoyed training but hated that every time someone got tackled you re set, it ruined it for me, I love quick ball taking the defence one end of the pitch the back again, not stop start stop start.

    At 12:56 he's about to get tackled.
    In NFL could he of offloaded the ball to his support runner and become a blocker or just take the tackle for his team mate to run the ball in ?
    Do the helmets damper awareness abilities?

    • @pkatsiaunis
      @pkatsiaunis 5 років тому +5

      It's much riskier to do that in the NFL- keeping possession is key to the game, and turning the ball over just once can cost the game. It's much more worth it to keep the ball protected than to risk losing it for a few extra yards.
