The problem with Asia they don't always use conditioners, they sell them, but salons don't use them. Just saying living in the Philippines four months. Asia can't do Caucasian hair either, so don't feel bad.
I used to have extremely straight, heavy Asian-type hair for 30 years. I had no idea what conditioners were for and why you would even need to comb through your hair: no breakage, no split ends, no tangling on waist-long hair (I did use a comb though ;)), I hated European stylists who attempted to get rid of half of the hair to make it 'lighter', so I just let the hair grow. That till a year I went on the pill, started using dye and cut my hair shoulder length - layered for volume at a Dominican hair salon. Now I have this typical frizzy-wavy thing (depending on tge weather and products, either straightish and full volume or funky waves with no volume at all), still unmanageable though, unless I get a blow dry at my stylist's or a deep conditioning treatment with heavy, oily cosmetics. So yes, with this straight/heavy type of hair the conditioner may be more of a burden than help, as it may even make your scalp more oily quickly.
Asians have Caucasian hair (straight/wavy). Caucasian hair includes type 1 and 2 hair which europeans, and asians have. Only difference is, is that its a little thicker.
@@lolo-hp3bt Asian hair not Caucasian hair. Caucasian hair is fine and not always straight. Caucasian hair can be curly, or wavy and be very oily and very hard to curl.

@@TheCourtneyWilliams it was 13 of us from our church to sing as a mission trip. We were there 2 weeks and I got my hair done and 2 of the guys got hair cuts. I remember the guys paid like 2.50. It did appear much hair seemed brighter and fuller. Nope I have not been back.. did have a lovely time there I must say.
As a stylist who has done African textured hair for over 30yrs. this was hard to watch. First rule :After conditioning #4 hair textures is DETANGLE WHILE WET and apply a heat protectant.. Second rule is pre-straighten with blow dryer in small sections. I had hopes for a great turn out but I could tell those flat irons were not at a temp. hot enough to properly straighten your hair.
if youre not detangling your hair under running water then youre missing out lol it used to take me hours to detangle now it takes me less than 20 minutes
The Courtney Williams yep! I apply the conditioner First, let it sit for a. Few then rinse while detangling with a Denman brush or tangle teezer at the same time
Did you get heat damage? Did they put a heat protectant on your hair before flat ironing. They did so many passes through. These videos should be about the process and the bouncing back of the natural curls.
I don't believe they put any heat protectant on my hair I did get some damage well there's no blueprint you know what I mean and things are limited in Asia so I feel like these videos were just made out of curiosity
Just be careful. Carry some with you. Our struggle for long healthy hair begins with us. Good job on walking them through it. Teach them about the heat protectant and introduce it to them to minimize breakage. Love you girl❤️. Keep them coming🥰

You did a good job and it makes me want to have a couple people in my head at the same time
It actually doesn't feel like that much
As a stylist who has done African textured hair for over 30yrs. this was hard to watch.
I liked that you explained to them how to do your hair and not just let them try and figure it out.
Yea sis I was going for as little damage as possible!
Brave! Good think too, now they'll have more experience and I'll get my curly hair done there too. :) :D
if youre not detangling your hair under running water then youre missing out lol it used to take me hours to detangle now it takes me less than 20 minutes
Really? With conditioner?
The Courtney Williams yep! I apply the conditioner First, let it sit for a. Few then rinse while detangling with a Denman brush or tangle teezer at the same time
That's a good idea thank you
Did you get heat damage?
Great video, I have learned something!!!
That makes me so happy to hear! Glad these videos are useful!
It was cool to see your experience there! Would you do it again?
DONT sleep y’all! ASIAN DID MY HAIR LIKE A BOSS! 💕
This was a GREAT video! Thank you for going ahead and paving the way for us all! 😂🤣 I was so tickled when there were like 4 people working on your head at one time. My family and I are heaed to Thailand in.a couple months. I am the Mom of 2 thick headed little girls.
The Mom Genius Ohhhhhhhh girl Thailand is going to be so freaking fun!!! They actually have braiding places so you'll be okay!
Your hair is so gorgeous 😍💜
Why are you still wearing that shower cap after the hair do?
How satisfied were you with the service 😊
Because that part was filmed the next morning. Actually was great!
Yeah, but we have to use conditioner 😅 you should put that on a t-shirt
I just might sis!
Wow they actually did a good job
I think so too especially since that was their first time working with natural hair
The Courtney Williams Wow, I’m so glad they actually took the effort, I’ve seen videos where stylist don’t want to go through it completely
You should come to bangkok here have shop for make your hair in Khao san road
They looked so amazed
They really we're though!
Im deeeadddd she had her hand over her moouth sayiinngg ooohhh thus is cool wow
Girl I was scared to hell honestly
i have the sound turned down, so not sure what is being said. Why are there 4 women working on 1 head?
Turn the volume up love
I'm at work...
I do understand I have Puerto Rican hair it’s cult thick and there has been times that they don’t know how to cut my hair when I lived in N.Y. I went to Spanish salons and African American salons
Did you find the salons in New York to be more suitable for your hair thickness?
Did you get heat damage
Honestly yes a little bit
@@TheCourtneyWilliams your hair was beautiful
Great customer service
Yes girl show these Asians our hair can grow long like every other race of hair!!!!!
You are so gorgeous and you have beautiful skin ❤❤
Gurl you very brave cause ain't no way in hell id let them finish with 4 different flat irons
Everybody seems so nice to you thats good
Maybe the Vietnam people will know how to do your hair The Vietnamis are so nice. They're listens to you.
Are you all praying for her successful experience too!
Aweeee thanks sis!! I appreciate and accept all the prayers for my success and abundance!🥰😍💕😘😘✨
They look amazed
They were!
Hair is such a deciding reason as to if I'm going to Vietnam or not 🤣
Girl my heart dropped when she washed out the conditioner without detangling.
Girl you me both!!!
oh my!!! you are brave!!!
I tried to get my hair done in Thailand and it was an epic fail total fail. I ended up doing my own hair adding the salons conditioner and pulling my hair into a loose ponytail up top that's it but put it on my host mom's tab LoL
Ohhhhhh sis it sounds like the struggle was real 😩
*So That’s Like $4 And Some Change In The US Right?*
Yep exactly!
They couldn’t wait to touch her hair😃
Great job especially after you couched them!👍🏽
I had to convert that price real quick lmao but yes five dollars and change isn’t bad 👀
You should have had that what to do discussion before the process started humidy
Yea your right I'll no better next time if I ever decided to get my hair done again there
I think they enjoyed playing in your hair more than doing it.
Yeah they were clueless.....that was deep...you were like a science project to them....
Lol I'm dead!!! They did a good job though.
Joshua safwat-taylor they really did though
