That was THE most stressful episode of any series I've ever watched from you, but damn it was satisfying to see you survive all that xD
Ok, so far this is great. Love the panicky moments and the tension, especially during the Battle of Big Buns. Also, props on the wolf-fueled parkour. Nicely done. Can't wait to see Day 2 and the shenanigans it brings.

Paused 3 and a half minutes in to say: To make this challenge a little more uh... balanced, you could max out loot abundance and exp bonus. Since you can die in one hit, you're going to be doing the beginning part of the game many times. Without the extra help, you're either going to have to get guder than most darksouls players, or fall to the great frustration.

I can hardly believe you got away with that whole Big Buns vs the Spider-Zomb and Sudden Wolf! Your reactions were golden, but your reflexes are in full bloom and show in this episode! Really well done!
That Strip Club Spider Zombie was legit the most intense moment I've ever seen in this game. I think I held my breath for the entire time.
If Glock started this episode wearing Coal underwear, he'd have a Diamond G-string at the end of the fight with the Spider Zombie.

I was on the edge of my seat with that spider monkey dance haha. G9 said it best "this is how this game is meant to be played". I have noticed games get really easy and playing something that creates fear and excitement is great. That's why i don't play on official servers anymore. :D
Masochist mode...reminds me of "The Long Dark" on Interloper difficulty...that's a great game.
It's a Canadian apocalyptic winter survival game.
Basically your small plane crashes in middle of nowhere Northern Canada in September, and basically almost everyone is dead, with a small few surviving NPC's around the place.
Like a crashed prison bus of the worst of Canadian criminals.
Never made it to day 2 on interloper yet, and i've tried probably 20 times already lol

They keep adding new maps and equipment, etc.
TLD is a great game, not as action packed as 7DTD, but very unforgivning. Would be nice to see Glock try that one 😊 I follow a streamer that did 500+ days on interloper. One try he died at 473 days…. 😱

Hey Glock9, I’m sure you get these kinda messages all the time but still wanted to add my own. I’ve recently been told I have stage 3 cancer and have started my various treatments. Obviously it’s not an easy process, but thanks to you I’ve found a way to ease my way through it. Well, mostly. Not only am I enjoying your content, but I’ve gotten back into playing 7 days since alpha 20 has looked so fun. It’s been really helpful in passing away the hours after treatments and taking my mind off of things. So genuinely from the heart dude, thank you for what you do.

The parkour to avoid the wolf was one of the most impressive things I’ve seen you do Glock.
That feral spider zombie fight along with the zombie at the door around 11:45 was absolutely insane.
I am sitting here alone in front of my computer freaking out at both the wolf and the spider monkey zombie. This is some of the most fun I've had on youtube. And I think others really enjoyed it as well. Please keep this challenge going on and on no matter how many attempts you go through!
This is entertainment at it's finest. You got comedy, suspense, horror, cornmeal drama, action, and even adventure.
Glock9 introduced me to my favorite content when he said he plays permadeath. . . I had no clue I could actually be this excited at a UA-cam video. Unbelievable. It will only get more exciting as the character progresses and more is at stake.
Bows and crossbows got a huge buff this Alpha.
Primitive bows 1 with Stone arrow are in alpha 20 almost as good as compound bows 5 with steel arrows were in alpha 19, they'll probably one shot any normal zombie with sneak headshots
they will on warrior difficulty, with the exception of big mamas, bikers and the fat guys, with those you will need a bit better quality.
Yeah I've been loving my bow lately. just an iron crossbow with iron bolts (and enough perk upgrades) can sneak oneshot a bear with a headshot.
@@DensetsuTekina in this case i think It was just the dismenber chance of the agility perk, a bear has too many live to be oneshoted, but yeah, this things are beasts now

I've often thought when going into POIs, "Let's see if we can do this without getting hit," And then I laugh at myself for being silly. I am rooting for you with this challenge. Win or lose it seems like it will be a lot of fun for everyone.
Haha this is so nerve wrecking xD can't wait for next episode. Could I suggest making wooden spikes and just have them ready to place down while running away, could help chip away at the zombies
A few of the barbed wire thingies (like the ones just outside the trader) would be good too, as they cause slowness & possiblely bleeding.
This is nice to see... Glock9, you are usually wading thru zeds like nothing, so to hear fear in your voice and see you franticly juking, dodging and fighting for your life is refreshing. I've always modded the XML's to make the zombies more of them/tougher/deadly... so you are right... this is the way it should be played.
The Kenny joke at the beginning had me laughing so hard!

This is a pretty neat series, it makes you have to fight from a distance rather then up close and personal, and you have to be a lot more careful of your surroundings. I'm surprised you survived 1 day of this, can't wait to see what happens next.
Oh my god, this was, by far, the most intense, exciting episode I’ve seen in a good long time. Not that Glock doesn’t put good stuff out, but this one carried with it a degree of risk far more intense than other episodes and I was fully expecting to see Glock die today. Thank goodness he didn’t.
Yea, that moment you went in the closet with the ONE BLOCK ceiling open. I was sitting there like, "Glock, I don't think that's smart...😅" 🤣
I like the idea of catching infection each time you take a hit and only having about 30 seconds until it becomes fatal
This would mean honey becomes basically meaningless since it only cures 5% of an infection per dose. Maybe even disallow yourself from crafting antibiotics for the additional challenge

That was stressful just watching! A thing worth noting is that the Z's will always zigzag when they are not chasing you in a cardinal direction, N, S, E or W which makes them real hard to hit with an arrow. If you can kite them into cardinal direction they run in a steady straight line.
The way Z mechanic missed You in doorway when running away from spider ... epic.
Dogs will be a nightmare - especially alphas, cause they r though

Glock, I don’t know how you keep doing it, but every series you have put out has been my favorite. I thought that the cabin in the woods couldn’t be topped, then farmer Glock was the best one in my mind, and I am really enjoying you doing rambling man, and now this one was so entertaining! Great work my friend, keep it up!
For a OHKO series I would say a primarily Intelligence/Perception/Agility build focusing on Stun Batons, Deadeye/Penetrator and Sneak (and Sprinting if sneak fails) with Spears being early game is necessary. Low stamina crowd control and getting the drop on the Zed are going to be critical during normal gameplay while electrical traps (fencing, blade and dart traps) are going to be vital for facing blood moon hordes.
And to think that you can still sprint and jump out of the way, with those massive steel balls! Excellent ep - hopefully we get at least 2 more :)

Glock this was absolutely incredible and I hope you make it through to day 3 at the least, talk about both skill and luck, both came in on this and you gotta be rocking it to not catch a hit from all the zombies and even the wolf! Makes me think of how worried I get even in games that I start to shake when I'm in danger in nearly any game. Really gets the heart rate going!
Damn, Glock. That Bigg Buns fight was intense, and the janitor outside the back door probably would have had you if not for their haymaker punches. They have a bit of a elay when they attack and you jumped right over him at about the same time he would have swung. Day 1 own, onwards to day 2

OMG, that stuff looked even more difficult than i had imagined. At first i was thinking it might be fun to try, but... I usually get killed by a wolf during the first few days when i play normally... And with one shot kills, those spider zombies are a bit much, LOL!

Stealth mods don't reduce the noise you make but instead reduces the penalty to noise added from armor equipped. For instance, ~8 to noise mod reduces iron armor noise penalty from 20 to 12.
There are times when I doubt your skills in this game, but then moments like 28:40 happen and I remember just how much better you are than me!

3 Things to mention:
Bows and Crossbows have a far higher sneakdamage multiplier, so if you can get a sneak attack in, use either of those. Bows and Crossbows also got buffed like hell in Alpha 20 so a good bow can oneshot even ferals with a sneak attack. And thats without putting perk points into sneakdamage.
Throwing spears doesn't cost that much more stamina, the problem is that it counts as a power attack and those stop your regeneration for a few seconds.
Lastly, I try to tell you all the time but here goes the Nth attempt. Sniper book series unlocks the mass crafting of 7.62mm ammo, mass crafting uses less ressources and i think it's also faster. You craft 1000rounds for the resources of 800rounds, so you get 25% more bullets out of the same res. That would in the end either mean that you can spam more shots, or that you need far less farming in the later game (which you try to avoid anyways)
Also, since you play one hit wonder, the Ghillie suit from the sniper books (which you also unlock at the completition of the series) would be the best possible armor, since it improves your stealth (+the stealth boots from the urban combat series)
I think this will be my favourite episodes! It makes you play completely different to you are used to! Good luck G9.

* Lumberjack: Only use axes and must build own house in snow biome
* Outdoorsman: can only use hunting knifes (includes machete), hunting rifles, shotguns, and crossbows; must live off land
* Sheriff/ Outlaw: Only use sawed off, and revolver; must live in Wild West town
* Militia: only use assault rifles and pump shotguns; must live in military base or camp; must eat out of a can (MRE)
* Architect: Can use any weapons but must rebuild (includes painting) any house you live in and once built, must move on
* Barroom Brawl: must always be buzzed or drunk; can only use fist weapons
* Pacifist: Cannot use any guns; cannot attack without getting hit by creature first; can’t kill animals or eat them without them attacking you

Once this challenge and Ramblin' Man ends, I have an idea for a series that I think will be really interesting. I call it "Self-made Man", you can play however you want but with one major exception, you can't make use of traders or vending machines. If there's anything you want or need, you'll have to either find it out in the wild or craft it yourself. It's an experiment to see how spoiled we've become since the ability to actually buy stuff was added to the game.
