I think this mod was specifically designed around you, Glock, and your style of game play. A real challenge for you in 7 Days is pretty rare. This is going to be amazing...
He's *the* 7 Days to Die UA-camr! Surely there's gotta be a mod made after him! Maybe a mod that automatically throws out Cornmeal from your inventory 😂
Most of these mechanics were A15/A16 era. After A17 joel wanted to be competing with fallout and fucked the lvling and skill system just like they did lol
I personally think the A20 leveling system is better with the gameplay loop as is. You'd need a group of players to get anywhere in terms of skills, and it starts you off at 0 for everything- total garbage at everything, which doesn't make sense as a fully grown adult going into a zombie apocalypse. You'd bring skills with you, and only have to learn some. The leveling and Skill Points in A20 at least allows enough suspension of disbelief, such as old skills the character had, but is now remembering after needing to apply them. And since there's a horde every now and then, you, the player, are rushing to build a defensible base in time.
In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. We thank you, for blessing us with a degenerate from New Jersey and for him, making blessed videos to ward off the evils of boredom. May the new dawn of a series, be as rich and plentiful as tuna tacos. AMEN!
Wheels are a 2/3 chance with a wrench. Nitrates are a white dot on the map, coal is a black dot, lead is a silver/grey dot, iron is a brown dot, you can clearly spot out any resource nodes anywhere you've explored. Steel knuckles are the be all end all weapon of darkness falls no question full stop, even without beer a low tier set of steel knuckles will beat pretty much anything short of super end game weapons. There are 2 skill tabs on the left side that have multiple pages, then there's class skills, you can repair an item up to the skill level you have unlocked, so if you had weapon crafting 1 before repairing those machetes you would have lost quality down to 11 (it's a 10 per level +1, ie 11, 21, 31, etc). Most skills and items can be crafted with enough skill points but schematics help. Quality Joe is a hugely valuable perk, especially right before a crack a book, which is also significantly more valuable than base 7 days to die where it's next to useless given the chance of schematics to paper there. The AR-15 is a semi-auto 9 mil weapon that is really fantastic for the early game, on par with other full auto weapons and much cheaper to make the ammo for.
Also rain catcher generate water, useful both for farming and for having water directly in your home (put them 2 blocks down into the ground) crickets starting to peep/chirp means it's 7pm+ some basic recipes are auto unlocked from the start like bacon and eggs, boiled meat, etc, no need to learn them some scrap tools aren't actually better than previous tiers of tools, like the scrap shovel only does 1.5ish block damage more than an equal stone shovel, but uses twice the stamina so it might be worth it to check stats on some tools/weapons do quests for both the trader and the white river citizen, they don't give you money as a reward but usually their quest rewards are just a straight upgrade compared to the traders rewards
Ah nothing better than a fresh glock9 series especially on darkness falls definitely my favourite mod when I finally get a decent pc or laptop definitely going to be playing this mod also glock9 honey is easy to get from the hornets also check all working stiff tools creats they have a lot of stuff in them also make chicken copes and the animal traps and make animal feed for them with Apple's or oranges also take the dyes out clothes they have a sell value and use a wrench on the wheels to get the wheels
Well damn. I saw at the top of my page and thought this was Father Glock II, The Glockening. Hopefully we do see G9 tackle this again, once its out of experimental.
Coming from the ps4 version of 7dtd and only recently playing the pc version, one thing i like about this mod is the bits they have put back into the game, like levelling up things like digging by digging and that weapons degrade when repaired. Definitely think i may have to try this mod
Bunch of tips without spoilers, to let your life be easier: - try find some fruits from forest and throw them to fire - remember baked yucca from A16? ;) - honey have a chance to heal your infection (yes, chance) - scrap, scrap, scrap.. scrap items are your best early tools - you can crouch 1 block height - remember? Don't be degenerate destroying trader base - throwable weapons can help you very well against hordes - sneaky sneak can save your life - complete class quest, then add points in laborer class tab - there is a mighty tool that's open doors and safes... Easly. Get it - watchout for freekyn mines in this series (Hi hello DF A19 😁) Should be enough for your start May Glock be with You
Can't wait for more, this will be fun! Few notes: 1. Food: early game get potatoes, apples and yucca. You will starve to death on burnt meat (very little food value) 2. Yes wheels from tires is still a thing, but you need a wrench 3. Don't let the zombies attack the trader, clean them up when you hear them
Rules of thumb for DF for the newbie... 1)Screamers absolutely f**king suck! If you have to create a lot heat via mining or block destruction always be on the move. Non-silent ranged weapons are to be used sparingly during blood moon hordes because Khaine sadistically re-enabled Screamer spawns during them. So later if you have the daft idea of FARMING THEM-- be prepared for the possibility of MULTIPLE BLOOD MOON SIZED HORDES (And speaking of the blood moon-- any vehicle with an engine on horde night WILL DIE WHEN THE CLOCK HITS 18:00) 2) Always separate dyes from clothing before scrapping/selling them and only scrap/sell dyes that don't have a recipe attached (and for the same reason stock up on feathers, honey and eggs you'll need them for crafting books). 3) Mines are everywhere. Max out parkour soon as possible. 4) Always complete the class quests BEFORE assigning skill points to that tree. You get a small number of points into those class skills as a reward you don't get if got impatient and assigned points before completing that quest chain. 5) Always scavenge cardboard boxes and take cornmeal for the scrap polymer-- you'll need a metric buttload for coilweapon ammo mid-late game
Save and collect all Plastic. Break down tires with Wrench or Impact Driver to get ties. (At least in Alpha 19) Also Pink Dye sells for a lot. Red, Blue and Yellow Dyes make black Dye. Save Eggs when you can. Combine weapons in Workbench
You can harvest tires using the wrench, also save the tomatoes, blueberries and goldenrod flowers to make to make red, yellow and blue dyes you can combine to make black dye. The weapons parts can only be combined in the lathe which you can find by looting at higher loot stages. Wait to repair your weapons until you get/find a workbench, you can combine 2 of the same item to avoid a decrease in quality. Once you find a crowbar breaking into chests, doors, etc. will be a breeze. Use the map to find different colored ores rather than hitting every rock you see. Knuckles, clubs and sledgehammers all fall under blunt weapons so you alternate between them and still level up the skill. (minor story spoiler ahead): once you do 10 quests for the scout she'll direct you to the new trader to continue the story. Looking forward to this series Glock!
The tools, armors or weapons won't lose quality if you lvl up the tool crafting, armor crafting, gun crafting and weapon crafting skills on the skill point tree. For example if you have a quality 11 weapon you will need to spend a 1 skill point in weapon crafting for it to not degrade and if you have a quality 11 gun you'll need to spend the skill point into gun crafting.
you can get wheels but you need to use a wrench also protip: never sell schematics you have already read scrap them for the special paper so you can unlock the other classes or give yourself skill points. You need a writing table to craft them. Also, watch out for black dye in clothing, to craft ink.
Yes tires come from wrenching tires. you can make a golf cart now I believe. If you get to zero hunger you die like right off so be careful. Honey from bees and it may not cure infections kind of fifty fifty. World work benchs work so look to use those till you make your own. Other than that love that you have started this can't wait to see you finish it.
Spear is a good weapon, increases bladed weapons, keeps them at range and inflicts bleed. We play on survivalist, sprint daytime, nighttime and ferals nightmare speed. 200 max alive zombies. Wandering horde every 12 to 24 hours ranging from 10 to 60. Spears are great for this as it keeps them a bit further away. And once you get your levels up you can keep them at bay! Can't wait to see more of this series
Let's bust into this house and share the word of our lord, Father Glock. Thanks for another great series Glock!!! Remember, use sound ques to help tell time. Crickets are a big one to listen for.
i ran a world where i used this starter church, then did a house flipper on the huge catherdreal with it's lower catacombs and upper loft, it works great as an all in one base for the later game
Darkness Falls is a great opportunity to use archery. Crossbows are awesome! I'm playing Darkness Falls with a friend and we have it on Warrior difficulty with zombies run during day and 100 max zombies with hordes at 64. The horde nights have been absolutely insane (Several deaths each), but the first time I ever started to feel generally safe was once I had an iron crossbow. I was actually able to do things I wanted instead of just doing what the game difficulty would allow me to do.
"And the machete shall set you free." "The way, the truth, and the machete." "Forgive them FatherGlock as they know not what they do." So many good puns can be made in this series.
remember there are some recipes that you have to search for. and there are some food that are only made in your inventory. when you get farmer or points in farming you will want to hit the wild crops again because that is how you get more than just one , unless he fixed that. you could do a farmer glock series with DF as well. its much more involved and you could only stay on farms. good vid
arguably the best tool when it comes to breaking though doors, lockboxes and gun safes, is a crowbar, it's breaks locked doors and crates instantly, and does 300 damage to strong boxes, gun safes, reinforced chests etc.
Also, knuckle weapons are really good in Darkness Falls. And with 1 point in Weapon Crafting and Tool Crafting, your stuff won't degrade to the point of destruction when you repair it.
Glock, another thing i found out yesterday, while staring at the campfire waiting for food . If you let your hunger bar drop to zero, it doesnt sap your health points. You just drop dead on the spot.
Im glad to see a new series in Darkness Falls! Couple of things I learned the hard way: 1. Always read books from your hotbar. Always. 2. When you hear the crickets start chirping, its time to head home.
Well that was fun! You can also bake potatoes which grow wild and cook apples on sticks without a cooking pot. Animals don't give as much meat as vanilla. Rations, in the white cans, are safe. Do a few quests for the scout and she'll have some very good rewards. Keep ALL the dyes you find! 👍
Grilled yucca is a good early food source. Doesn't give lots of food, but it's plentiful in the world until you find better. No yucca left behind is a good motto early on. Good luck with the series.
Damn dude I'm so excited for this series. Plus you got me laughing and shaking my head with all the God Jesus and Bible references. You may get smighted just yet lol. Great work Father Glock
Hopefully no one gets upset about the satire going on in this series. I love the concept and I think I was part of the people suggesting a father glock/pastor glock series. Keep it up, amigo!
Love to see more support for dfalls definitely the best overhaul. You can harvest wheels if you have a wrench. Just a tip with the laborer a lot of the crafting books (workbenches, cement mixer, steel tools) say not laborer on them because you get them from a class specific perk so be careful with that, you have no need to read them and it wont give you those skill points.
Yeah. Cranking down the zombies is a good idea. I had 100 zombies alive at one time and max zombies for blood moon and got bodied. I had to turn that stuff down. Oh and I would recommend scraping blueprints. The classes give you 90% of what you can craft and you need the skill pages for the books.
I gotta good idea for a series i call it Berserker, you see a zombie animal you have to kill it right then n there regardless of of time, weaponry etc, even if you out of ammo n need to be repaired you have to attack once its seen n cnt stop repair anything until all are dead in sight as once you see them you are in berserk mode. Ps you cnt stop n heal during the beserk mode either only after they are dead n none are in sight, so broke leg see zombie you gotta fight it, low health you gotta fight, hungry you gotta fight, no running away.
Crickets chirp from hour 19 to hour 20 (19-20 hundred hours). That helps keep track of time. I haven’t played DF yet, but it’s creeping up on my short list.
I've been doing my own playthrough of Darkness Falls recently, so this is a real treat! Always happy to see some more Glock9 in my feed. And yes, you can wrench tires for tires in DF A20 :)
you can get tires from the ones on the road you just have to use a wrench, ratchet or impact wrench to get them. I think you get one every time i love this mod can't wait to see more!
Glock! about the doors that "vanish" at times, before loading in-game go in Video Settings - Quality and turn "tick" off Occlusion. that will solve the issue! As for weapon parts: start scraping something that will take a while to give you time to start/cancel scraping other things and check the amount of iron, weapon parts give you ( unless Khaine has changed the value, some of those parts give you a good amount of iron compared to little coins selling )
So Guns, Nerds, and Steel has been doing this POI in DF and the and teh Zombies glitched thru the floor into the crypt and hidden rooms. Just something to be aware of for horde night. Also you can wrench tires for wheels but not the heavy hit.
Father Glock, the Devil is in the details. Like the detail that you never even fired that level 11 bow before repairing it and making it a level 6. Also, pay closer attention to books, some of them have to be read from the hotbar in DF.
I've noticed a lot of things come from old alphas. Weapons degrading on repair. Action skills. Weapon components instead of general parts. I love it and love your videos man. Keep up Gods work.
Hey Glock make sure to put skill points into the crafting perks that way when you repair weapons, tools and armor you wont lose durability. Looking forward to this series!
Since you took Laborer I find that using axes a good way of working on blade skill until you can put some points to bladed weapons. Also, putting points into mining also assists with early stamina issues.
Repairing items in darkness falls works like the old 7d2d were you need to repair items using another of the same kind in a, i think, work bench. As you know black ink is the king of inks and can be made but a few useless ink sell for a good amount of tokens. Make sure to remove ink off of clothes. Scrap polymers are gold as well as electrical parts, both are needed in mass amounts for end game. Steel can be upgraded and is not the best metal you can find.
Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers.
Oh Sh*t here we go again! Comin off the back of watching EVERY video you've made of A20, being new to the world of 7DtD, AND hearing all this hushed tones and deep concern over this Darkness Falls (writing this BEFORE hitting the Play button.) I am SUPER HYPED for this Series!
Weird. I just started a new DF playthrough living in this exact POI. The catacombs make a great base and the church is perfect for a walkway horde base. Day 29 and no deaths so far!
I would recommend bringing xp up to 300%. It gets harder faster, but you'll get to the best stuff faster. Especially if you want to get that laser sword. You won't be able to get to that stuff until at least level 50.
one thing I'd love to see funpimps implement in this game which is the chicken mechanics the subsistence game has. most of the time they usually lure you toward a predator :p
LESSGOOO. just finished city life literally a few hours ago, cant wait for this! i haven't played this mod myself but i've heard nothing but good things about it. can't wait to see how it goes.
Stoked on another Glock vs DF series! I've played a decent bit of 7D myself, but never tried Darkness Falls, it honestly seems to be mostly just a more tedious version of the game, and some of the changes it makes (or old features re-added) like the doors that unlock instead of being destroyed, just don't make any sense at all for immersion. As I said though, I'm stoked to watch this series anyway!
Don't forget that most dyes are important in Darkness Falls. Most can be used to craft Black Dyes, which are a requisite ingredient for Ink, which is used to craft Class Books, Master Skill Books, Skill Points, and active Skill level ups. Also, dyes have a sell price. Pink Dyes and White Dyes sell pretty well and are for nothing else except cosmetics.
Father Glock just killed the Netflix and Amazon! I am waiting for each episode more than I did with Game of Thrones or House of cards! Well done Sir! I am 52 by the way - this is not just a teenage entertainment!
Glock, you can get wheels from tires if you take them apart with a wrench. Been looking forward to this series for a while. DF is my favorite mod (playing it right now).
Of course I love all your videos but I really like this one, and I can’t wait for episode 2. Your videos are so entertaining, even though zombies, wolves, etc are trying to kill your character you keep it lighthearted with your humor. I loved when you said to the one lady zombie, “get up drama queen”! I couldn’t stop laughing. Thank you for such awesome and entertaining videos. Much love to you! ❤️
You can use the same type of item to repair it. So you can use a lvl 12 iron axe to repair a lvl 20 iron axe and it won’t lose lvls or won’t lose as many lvls but I think you need a work bench.
Welcome to darkness falls hope you enjoy your stay 😁feel free to wrench the tyres for wheels and you have 2 skill points at the start,I put them in weapon crafting and tool crafting and loot everything you are going to need it and your content is awesome 👏
Thank you Father Glock for shepherding us through the fallen darkness. May the Lord guide your blade true

@@sinful9347 ...or maybe spawns cornmeal-based zombies. Maybe cornmeal caused the apocalypse in the first place!
@@sinful9347
If there is, I hope it's not part of any big mod. Cornmeal is incredibly useful in vanilla, at least.
When you mark your resources, maybe you should mark it with a cross since you are father Glock
I thought of this too 💀
Father Glock travels the land blessing it's natural resources
Looks like it’s gonna be a great series, can’t wait to see where it goes. 2 thumbs up for my favourite 7D2D content creator.
Don't forget the dyes in this mod. You gonna need them. Also when you wrench a tire you may find one
Yup, checked the comments for this.
Wait, what do dyes do? I can't imagine how dyes are useful lol this mod is insane
@@mollytaylor8122 It is useful. You need the dyes to make black dye. With the black dye you can make Ink and with that you make the books
This overhaul is amazing. Love the new mechanics. They took the best parts from each version of the game. It kinda feels like a new game, 7D2D 2 haha
i agree, problem is once you add mods to such a game, vanilla becomes so boring, i just couldnt get into the taco truck vids xD
@@dellboi1984 Agreed Dave.

I lived in this church once - ended up setting up shop in the eaves of the thing because the zombies kept invading the basement
Yup. Wrench tires for a chance to get tires sir.
As for the disappearing textures. Make sure Occlusion is off in the main menu.
Just a tip with the laborer a lot of the crafting books (workbenches, cement mixer, steel tools) say not laborer on them because you get them from a class specific perk so be careful with that, you have no need to read them and it wont give you those skill points.
make bowls, use them on trees to get sap. easy water source. also used to make glue
Yeah. Cranking down the zombies is a good idea. I had 100 zombies alive at one time and max zombies for blood moon and got bodied. I had to turn that stuff down. Oh and I would recommend scraping blueprints. The classes give you 90% of what you can craft and you need the skill pages for the books.
God the memories from all the old alpha's are coming back. I love this mod for throwing old stuff that made the game good at the time in
Finally some els noticed I Plat on Xbox wich is eons behind so yea
Your skill points!!!! Noooooooo!!!! Love it Glock!!
Go Tool crafting and weapons crafting first!!!
Use a wrench on the tires, it will almost always give you a usable tire. Also remember to read books and schematics from your hot bar.
Crickets chirp from hour 19 to hour 20 (19-20 hundred hours). That helps keep track of time. I haven’t played DF yet, but it’s creeping up on my short list.
0:07 is that the minecraft spider sound ? lol anyways good vids as always
I've been doing my own playthrough of Darkness Falls recently, so this is a real treat! Always happy to see some more Glock9 in my feed.
And yes, you can wrench tires for tires in DF A20 :)
Where do you get the mods for darkness falls safely?
I really like the medieval-esk music at 8:30 really fit the mood
you can get tires from the ones on the road you just have to use a wrench, ratchet or impact wrench to get them.
To collect a tire you need a wrench
At 7:58, "We Be Clubbin'" Ice Cube. 🤣 Cubbin' for two different reasons.
Never watched a Glock video before, but this video just converted me into a believer. Shepherd me through the darkness Father Glock.
Also also also the laborer gets a perk for crafting forges, so you might be able to craft a forge right now.
You can craft a WATCH!
Invisible blocks - turn off Occlusion to stop them flickering in and out of the game.
Wrench/its upgrades can get you a tire from tires I believe, hitting it with an axe doesn't cut it.
Thanks for shouting this out yesterday as a Darkness Falls series! Totally gonna binge this!
I would recommend bringing xp up to 300%. It gets harder faster, but you'll get to the best stuff faster. Especially if you want to get that laser sword. You won't be able to get to that stuff until at least level 50.
27:36 you sound like Mr. Krabs from SpongeBob! Man I love your videos🤣 you are my fave🤣👏🏼
one thing I'd love to see funpimps implement in this game which is the chicken mechanics the subsistence game has. most of the time they usually lure you toward a predator :p
Potatoes - you bake them, no dysentery. & you don't need a cooking pot.
Lovin' it so far, looking forward to more :)
Excellent. More potential human suffering to feed my existence
LESSGOOO. just finished city life literally a few hours ago, cant wait for this! i haven't played this mod myself but i've heard nothing but good things about it. can't wait to see how it goes.
Great video! I believe to get tires from the tires on the ground you need to use a wrench! Looking forward to the next video
Father Glock just killed the Netflix and Amazon! I am waiting for each episode more than I did with Game of Thrones or House of cards! Well done Sir! I am 52 by the way - this is not just a teenage entertainment!
You will get a wheel almost every time if you wrench the wheels.
I've been looking forward to you doing this series! I setup base in a church just like this and used Guns Nerds and Steels setup for the horde base
Glock, you can get wheels from tires if you take them apart with a wrench. Been looking forward to this series for a while. DF is my favorite mod (playing it right now).
feels like an iconic channel series in the making
Of course I love all your videos but I really like this one, and I can’t wait for episode 2. Your videos are so entertaining, even though zombies, wolves, etc are trying to kill your character you keep it lighthearted with your humor. I loved when you said to the one lady zombie, “get up drama queen”! I couldn’t stop laughing. Thank you for such awesome and entertaining videos. Much love to you! ❤️
remember to take the dye out of the clothing because you need it
Use pistols like Joshua gran yes like if a priest mixed with doom guy just look him up trust me
You can use the same type of item to repair it. So you can use a lvl 12 iron axe to repair a lvl 20 iron axe and it won’t lose lvls or won’t lose as many lvls but I think you need a work bench.
a mining helmet is really good to have early on especially for recording preposes, cause this game gets really dark even in vanilla
Welcome to darkness falls hope you enjoy your stay 😁feel free to wrench the tyres for wheels and you have 2 skill points at the start,I put them in weapon crafting and tool crafting and loot everything you are going to need it and your content is awesome 👏
If you get a work bench you can combine weapons and tools to make higher quality weapons and tools
Very excited for this series. Just got done with a darkness fall playthrough myself. And yes you can still get wheels from wrenching tires.
