Hi Pastor Vlad would you address the TB Joshua issue? In an old video, you said something like its good for our kids to watch TB Joshua all day and he has been a big influence on your ministry though he did some shocking, unbiblical things and also the unbiblical TB Joshua 'anointing' water that you used in the past. Thank you and God Bless.
I’m a cradle Catholic and for a few years (since I started to read the Bible) I’ve been questioning so much of the Church’s teaching. Thank you for this. Blessings.

@@roses993 I have read my Bible. I have prayed for guidance by the Holy Spirit. There’s so many Protestant deviations that claim that they have the right interpretation. But none of these claim to have the authority, because the Catholic Church has the authority to interpret scripture. In fact, how do you know what books of the Bible to read? Scripture does not even define a canon!
History helps us understand why things are the way they are today. I definitely need to know more about church history. Thank you for making this video.
Another good resource is EH Broadbent's "The Pilgrim Church." Instead of a history of the Catholic Church, it follows those smaller groups of Christians that preferred not to be under the dictates of a centralized religious or political system. "Right from apostolic days there have always been little groups of persecuted believers who just wanted to follow the Lord." Inspiring!

few errors in your version of church history 1. The Head of the Catholic Church is Jesus - popes are Head of Church on earth. 2. Married men of Eastern Catholic Church can be ordained as priests. You are from Ukraine and you do not know this? Celibacy is not doctrine, but discipline - it could be revised in the future. 3. The split of the Church took place in 430 AD and 456 AD with the establishment of The (Assyrian) Church of the East and the Oriental Orthodox churches few counter arguments of your description of Catholic beliefs: 1. Penance: It is based on Eze. 33:14-16. The verses say a wicked person need to turn from sin (to repent) AND to do what is just and right. As followers of the Reformers you may still believe you need to repent but to do what is just and right contradicts the teaching off the Reformers known as solus Christus. 2. Sola fide: The phrase "justified by faith" appears four times in New Testament (Rom. 3:28, 5:1, Gal. 2:16, 3:24). New Testament was written in Greek and the one in Rom. 3:28 is in Greek passive present tense while the rest are in Greek passive aorist tense. Both tenses do not indicate once for all justification. If Scripture teaches faith-alone justification, then the Holy Spirit would inspire Paul to write the phrase "justified by faith" in Greek passive perfect tense. 3. sola scriptura: Scripture is neither self defined nor self interpreted. There is no single verse that tells us which books and how many of them belong to Scripture. The so-called canon of Scripture must be determined from authority outside Scripture. If Scripture is self interpreted (or anybody who read will be guided by the SAME Holy Spirit), then those who accept the same books as Scripture will have the same interpretation, which is not the case. 4. The Catholic Church is not against translating Bible. Wycliffe was condemned because his heretical view on the Eucharist. Because of that his translation was banned, just like Protestants of today ban the translation made by Jehovah Witnesses, known as NWT (New World Translation). 5. Why Protestants reject purgatory comes from their teaching of double imputation: through faith alone you get Christ' righteousness imputed on you and ALL your sins (past, present, and future) imputed on Christ who was punished for those sins. Under this double imputation purgatory (and penance) will add what Christ already did on the cross. Scripture flatly denies double imputation is Eze. 18:20: "the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself." 6. Scripture refers God as refiner’s fire and fuller’s soap (Mal. 3:2) - both have something to do with refining and cleansing. Zec. 13:8-9 says God put some into fire as one refines silver and test gold - the word purgatory is not mentioned but the concept is. 7. Scripture says through Christ we are made righteous (Rom. 5:19) but the Reformers teach we cannot be made righteous but we are counted as righteous based on alien righteousness of Christ but remain unrighteous (with sins) at the same time - in Latin "simul iustus et peccator". Scripture denies "Simul iustus et peccator" in Eze. 33:13. 8. Communion of saints: If you read Scripture thoroughly you will realize that saints in heaven are not dead but alive - their physical bodies turned to dust, but their soul are alive. Only those in hell have their bodies and souls dead according to what Jesus said in Mat. 10:28 (ESV): "And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell." Jesus said in John 11:25-26 (ESV): " I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die.” Jesus Himself conversed with Moses and Elijah (Mat. 17:1-3). Even John managed to converse with one of the elders in heaven (Rev. 5:5, 7:13-14).
You get a few verses a create a whole doctrine from it. Just go to Jesus and early apostles teachings and actions. None of these were catholic. Jesus never taught purgatory or praying to people in heaven or mary, etc. Go straight to the point and look at the gospels. Catholics get a few verses and create whole doctrine that contradict the Bible as a whole and the gospels
... and Papias, Tertillian, and Origen. These men, who lived in the first two centuries of the Church, contributed greatly to our theological understanding. And Jerome as well -- he lived in the latter 300's. I hope Vlad creates some future content on these men of faith.
Something that is also a really cool bit of knowledge about the history is that the catholic church changed the ten commandments. They took out the commandment about making any carved image and worshipping it. And split the tenth commandment about Coveting into two (their 9th and 10th commandments), in order to still have Ten.

The Apocrypha were written roughly between 400 BC and AD 1. This period of time is frequently referred to as “the four hundred silent years” or “Second Temple Judaism” or “the time between the testaments.” It essentially makes up that blank page in your Bible between Malachi and Matthew. Which means first century believers were using the Septuagint -- yet they did not consider the Apocrypha to be canonical.
Most folks don't know that the early Reformers read the Apocrypha -- although they did not consider them to be canonical -- and the 1611 Authorized Version actually contained the Apocrypha, like the Septuagint did.

“awaiting our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all iniquity and to purify for himself a people of his own who are zealous for good deeds.”
Titus 2:13-14
“And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my Church, and the gates of Hadesshall not prevail against it.”
