Bioware sure does know how to get the player's attention. Me: "Alright, let's get this over with..." David: "Uploading to SR-2 Normandy." Me: "NO! FUCK NO!"
i didn;t jump at least not all the time just when i forgot he does that. I could also make out the quiet please make it stop several times so i knew something was up which i think helped
OrionoftheStar It's because Paragon Shepard wants to make sure that Dr Archer wouldn't came after David, after all even the best behaving of heroes must step down to do the right thing
Bioware should really think about putting this combat music, along with the other dlc's combat music, into the Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer! Thumbs up if you agree!!!
This track was awesome after having struggled through ME1 on insanity. Really drove in a "just like old times" feeling taking down the Geth with Garrus and Grunt learning from the two pros.
One of my favorite combat themes (the other one being "The End Run" that plays during most of the suicide mission)! It motivates me to fight the geth or Cerberus (in ME3 during "Arrae: Ex-Cerberus Scientists" the same music plays during combat).
Actually, the combat theme playing during most of the suicide Missions is Suicide Mission. The End Run plays when you enter the base and then during the final cutscene when you escape.
Exactly, The Ilusive Man tries hard to convince you that they are good. It's funny because in the same game several characters tells you about how evil is Cerberus.
Had this music in my head today, on the walk home from work, and couldn't remember where it was from, until suddenly it occurred to me. That was 'Overlord!' :D So thank you for this upload and I now have this fantastic track on my phone. Though, as awesome as this music is, I don't think I can bring myself to listen to 'David's Theme' from the same DLC. I was so upset during that scene in the game, that I started sobbing, so much so, that my boyfriend offered to throw the game out, seeing that something had upset me that much. I wouldn't let him of course, it was a great DLC, but man . . . that ending! :*( Thank you again for the upload!
These are the kind of stories I enjoy the most; the kind that affect you so much you grow to care about characters that don't exist yet you feel pain and happiness from them. Mass Effect was a fantastic series! :)
You can listen to it playing in ME3 multiplayer, and choosing Firebase Reactor as the map, but you'll have to go to an N7 mission (e.g. Benning) in single player and exit in the middle of the mission. Exit when in combat with enemies to get this soundtrack when playing Firebase Reactor in multiplayer. This also applies to all other maps. Different soundtracks will play depending on the multiplayer map and whether you exited the mission in combat or out of combat.
Just about one of the very few highlights of Mass Effect 3. This plays when you're going after Kai Lang, before you realize that the Citadel has moved and it happens to be the missing part to complete your project. Beating the shit out of Cerberus Phantoms to this beat was so satisfying. It's like the moment this track started to play, it was go time!
It also played during the mission with jacob and the cerberus scientists in ME3. This might be my favorite video game tracks of all time, GOD vanguard charging chaos on hardcore difficulty while making my way out of the geth dreadnought was so incredibly glorious.
D Will "hardcore"? Try insanity, from Mass Effect (1) to Mass Effect 2 to Mass Effect 3 (and as many DLCs as possible and 100% the game), then you'll have the right to feel "glorious"
I did obviously complete it on insanity silly. I was apart of speed runs in the multiplayer that was constantly competing against the PC players, yet I felt no need to brag about it until you called me out lol. Needless to say, I earned the right to feel glorious. But I didn't feel the need to respond to anyone else telling them "when" they should feel glorious, and the fact you felt the need to expresses your pathetic insecurities speaks volumes. But hey, make sure you buy Andromeda. Maybe you can project your inadequacy in the next installment!
It happened after I went out of N7: Cerberus Fighter Base on Noveria (Firebase White) and I quit in the middle. The Overlord track wasn't in the Cyone Reactor, but some out-of-combat music was heard in the other non-DLC maps (no DLC maps are affected by this, for your info). I tried going to Benning instead (the location of Firebase Ghost) and I exited mid-combat. Overlord then played on Reactor and the White track was different, but so was Ghost's.
This is without a doubt one of the best battle musics to ever appear in a video game, topped only (perhaps) by the Deep Roads music in Dragon Age: Origins! I loved every moment of this DLC - BioWare just got something right here, something they missed in Arrival. LotSB is equally epic, though.
@Freelancefilmcrew Yeah, they better have held back on us in the demo, releasing only the basic gamemode... which i doubt is the case, since there isn't any option specifying "gamemode".
This and Arrival's story is more interesting imho than Shadow Broker's. Also Overlord could be the first time when you see a geth ship from the inside. And the morals.
there was an option to save the clone, he/she just didn't want to live. and as for a shitty plot line i'd have to disagree but that's your opinion. The plot line it itself was just a way to set up a bunch of fan service, like bringing everyone into one mission and providing some funny situations and one liners, almost breaking the fourth wall.
Hey, he's got more personality then EDI (in ME2, not ME3), as long as he promises to just "catch a ride" and replace EDI, I would have been fine with it.
Almost, they did it so much I don't even. Nevermind Shepard relaxing while watching the war on Earth, the Kai Leng and Codex images on posters. Indoctrination Theory isn't dead, far from it...
This song just made fighting out of the Geth ship that much better. The whole DLC was epic.
*MAKE IT STOP!*
Bioware sure does know how to get the player's attention.
Me: "Alright, let's get this over with..."
David: "Uploading to SR-2 Normandy."
Me: "NO! FUCK NO!"
Good combat music, scary DLC :/ I jumped every time I heard Geth-David scream over the comm! Shows even the best of game series can get scary!
Who didn't? XD
MsRAZGRIZ1
Fair enough on that :P
i didn;t jump at least not all the time just when i forgot he does that. I could also make out the quiet please make it stop several times so i knew something was up which i think helped
aceofaces18
Ah,I bow to you, friend :) I too could hear it, in those quiet times. Though I still did jump at least to half of those :P
Have ever seen those ME vs Halo arguments?
Classic. Best game series ever.
this and baldurs gate
And Witcher
Garrus and Tali at your side kickin' ass with badass powers
I enjoy getting on sentinel and freezing people then shattering them
@@shogun8379 And Dragon Age (minus 2)
@@G00dGame and Fable
This great combat music is also heard in the dual reactors mission.
The ending to this DLC was so sad, but it was very well made and I enjoyed it.
I don't know what it is about Mass Effect, but I generally take all my time to kill my opponents just to get the most outta their soundtracks.
Always
This mission was never okay and will never be okay.
Dwight Perot I know 'I' will be devastated by that ending, for a very long time.
+Dwight Perot You know something is fucked up when the *Paragon* interrupt is to pistol-whip the fucker in the face.
For real though ;-;
+OrionoftheStar Hell, Renegade Shep is disgusted with themselves for the choice they make.
OrionoftheStar It's because Paragon Shepard wants to make sure that Dr Archer wouldn't came after David, after all even the best behaving of heroes must step down to do the right thing

Still agreed!
My god this comment is so outdated lol
it was in the mass effect 3 ex cerberus base campaign mission
This track was awesome after having struggled through ME1 on insanity. Really drove in a "just like old times" feeling taking down the Geth with Garrus and Grunt learning from the two pros.
When I was playing this I was trying to think what the music reminded me of - Xcom Enemy Unknown.
Good luck, Commander!
I luv this track its so cool that you can listen to it on me3 on the mission where you find jacob
I remember this music plays during the me3 fuel rods mission
There is also a gentle theme for David that can also be heard in the Grissom Academy mission.
This is what I've been looking for! Sounds so intense, encouraging and just so freakin good.
One of Mass effect's best pieces was the finale battle music with Saren
Pov: you're the google engineer's who leak your talk with the most smartest AI
Nice to see this made it into ME3.
Overlord was my favorite DLC for ME2 simply because of this song.
I love the Ilusive Man, because he denies responsability for all the wrongs in Cerberus, but he is totally in command in these proyects.
I really loved the effects of the geth turret, felt like you were being shot at with an actual cannon xD
I don't know why but while I'm listening to this all I hear in my head is David yelling stop it.
This song kicks so much ass. Fitting theme song for one of the best DLC ever on any game.
This DLC was really creepy which made it special, and this song... man it was the most epic hour in my entire play through!
Best combat theme in Mass Effect imo
The sense of dread and urgency this music is well done this vi from destroying everything basically
I can still hear David asking for help while you battle against the firewall. :(
This pumps me up so much that I just wanna sprint full speed into danger... and then cower behind cover and snipe from the other side of the area
Oh god the nostalgia
Honestly this mission made me sad as he didn’t mean to hurt everyone he kind of lost his mind. Shows the evils of Cerberus
Exactly, The Ilusive Man tries hard to convince you that they are good. It's funny because in the same game several characters tells you about how evil is Cerberus.
This song came on my Pandora the other day at work. Most epic escalator ride ever.
Had this music in my head today, on the walk home from work, and couldn't remember where it was from, until suddenly it occurred to me. Hands down thr BEST DLC. I was legit choking up at the end.
Just about one of the very few highlights of Mass Effect 3. This plays when you're going after Kai Lang, before you realize that the Citadel has moved and it happens to be the missing part to complete your project.
Beating the shit out of Cerberus Phantoms to this beat was so satisfying. It's like the moment this track started to play, it was go time!
this game is free on origin works on windows 10 now yay!
It also played during the mission with jacob and the cerberus scientists in ME3. This might be my favorite video game tracks of all time, GOD vanguard charging chaos on hardcore difficulty while making my way out of the geth dreadnought was so incredibly glorious.

maybe its just me but when david is screaming at you through the consoles i almost blew out an eardrum. I liked this dlc and the music is great
someone needs to make a car or plane chase scene with this song in the background. It needs to happen. It will be amazing
Allow me to introduce myself

Silence ! Je vous en supplie ! Faite que ça s’arrête !!!
one of the best things in this DLC ^^ love this sound
Quiet please! Make it stop....(can't stop listening this..)
I was wondering where did I hear it. Thanks for clarifying that.
Damn this music gets me pumped!
@JohnstonRobot I wouldn't normally say something like that, until I heard the Tron soundtrack. It's great.
That's awesome - same for me. Nice to know I'm not the only one :)

One good soundtrack that made it to ME3
I must admit I didn't expected much from this DLC at first, but at the end I was like ಥ⌣ಥ well done.
Badass theme.
There shouldn't be a dislike button for this sort of thing!
This DLC wasn't my favourite, but damn if it didn't have some great music!
INCEPTION!
Best Trilogy DLC after Citadel
This is pretty much the reason I liked Overlord.
@diotus21 How great would it be if one of the Multiplayer levels in the full game is capturing, then defending Atlas Station from Cerberus?
@Freelancefilmcrew Yeah, they better have held back on us in the demo, releasing only the basic gamemode... which i doubt is the case, since there isn't any option specifying "gamemode".
This is screaming "FIGHT FOR YOUR LIFE!".
Overlord and Bring Down the Sky are the only DLCs in the whole series that have choices.
Who else is listening in 2024
Quiet! Please! Make it stop!
This DLC was awesome but the pain David had to go through :( poor guy
Sovereign, Harbinger, The illusive man and one motherf***ing banshee
THEY ARE TWO NOW!!! AAAAARGH!!!
No comments? Wow. Well, I'll say it then. Epic song is epic.
Listening to this grants you immunity vs. synthetics
Sumbitch, the Overlord music is just a super slow version of Shadow Broker music :( I'm just realizing this after all these years.
No, the Shadow broker theme is an altered version of this one. Overlord came out before Shadowbroker.
@MattmanFishgoose Don't put that thought into anyone's head. Ever!
😢👍👍👍
This and Arrival's story is more interesting imho than Shadow Broker's. Also Overlord could be the first time when you see a geth ship from the inside. And the morals.

Best soundtrack ever. Pitty it was DLC. In fact most of ME2's DEC was better than the actual game.
Hey, he's got more personality then EDI (in ME2, not ME3), as long as he promises to just "catch a ride" and replace EDI, I would have been fine with it.
yeah this actualy fits best in the geth ship rather than anywher else!!
in the fuel station too

I dunno.
Baldur's Gate 2 and Neverwinter Night 2 are tough contestants on this one.
This song SOOOOO reminds me a little of the soundtrack to Quigley Down Under, "The Attack"
I see you too are a man of culture

There is already in ME 3. You can ear this song during the Mission for seve the ex-cerberus scientists (also jacob if he still alive)
Yeah, in hindsight, I kind of see your point. I should be more rational than this. Sorry.
This is some Hans Zimmer shit
