One of the coollest villains in the Mass Effect series. The fact that you don't get to see him until the very last moments just makes it even more awesome.
My favorite part of this DLC: "So we do this the hard way" Only Commander Shepard is badass enough to see a big, ugly monster with sharp teeth and claws and immediately decide to engage it in hand to hand combat.
T0mN7 Imagine having Grunt in your squad here. He'd be charging at the broker who at this point would be like: "Welp. I fucked up." *Shot of the pancake that used to be the Broker lying on the floor.
When the Yahg escapes Sur'Kesh after Cerberus raid. "Careful, there goes the next Shadow Broker." "I Could've sworn he was muttering T'soni the whole time." "Not funny."
Loved his dialogue. Nothing can touch sovereign but damn this guy, cold calculated and always ahead of your moves. His time was short but so much to soak up.
Looking back, the Shadow Broker in ME 2 was basically the "Wilson Fisk/Kingpin" of the Mass Effect world. A terrifying combination of raw intelligence and brutal physical strength, manipulating all those around him for his own benefit.
Shadow Broker: I'm a nightmare monster from a planet so scary the rest of the galaxy quarantined it and stayed the heck clear. I have the knowledge of a thousand worlds and the resources of a billion billionaires. How do you intend to defeat me, Commander? Shepherd: I punch you in the face, weakling.
@@GenshinLover283 They were already dominated few worlds during reaper war. They have their own ships , theyre using one turian to coordinate things because they dont trust ai.
The Yahg Shadowbroker was all BRAIN and BRAWN. Not to forget that nightmarish look! x( And Shep manages to melee him!!! Shep: "Well, the last guy who tried to trash talk me was a few kilometers taller than a Yahg. So, no sweat" Right, sorry commander.
+Zed Zamorin Yeah, I rather enjoyed that part of the fight. 'Course, it may have had SOMETHING to do with him giving my new Quarian girlfriend a concussion.
God damn this fight was so unfair. You have a borderline unstoppable killing machine that could toss Krogan around like paperweights and massacre entire armies in one corner. And in the other, a Yahg in a suit, with nothing but a shield and a revenant.
+Aiden Kendren (DazedN7) The Yahg Shadowbroker was all BRAIN and BRAWN. Not to forget that nightmarish look! x( And Shep manages to melee him!!! Shep: "Well, the last guy who tried to trash talk me was a few kilometers taller than a Yahg. So, no sweat" Right, sorry commander.
"Here for the Drell? Reckless, even for you Commander." "That bombing on Illium wasn't exactly subtle." "It was necessary." "No it wasn't! Neither was caging Feron for two years!" "Feron betrayed me when he handed you Shepard's body. The Drell is simply paying the price. Your arrival is fortunate, the Collectors' offer still stands."
+Khyron56 And extra credits for Archangel's head (if Garrus is in the team)!!! Boy, it was a jackpot for Shadow Broker......until the blue chick and Shep SCHEMES him to DEATH!!!

Shep: "I knew it, I knew it. Nobody suddenly adds a drell character into the game without reason! Dammit Blue, he got us!"
"You travel with fascinating companions, doctor. Thank you for bringing me Mr. Harper, T'Soni. I believe we still can stop his indoctrination process."
Mister B Kingpin has also been a villain in Spider-Man comics as well, on numerous occasions. Since both Daredevil and Spider-Man operated out of New York, it's not that surprising.
Such a blind loyality for her to be dog of Shadowbroker. I read cerberus news shes figured out many things with the intel from shadowbroker but went too renegade.
What's creepy about him is he was just the previous Shadow Borker's pet and then he ate him and took his place . His race (forgot their name) doesn't even know how to space travel.
Maybe they means that yahgs aren't flying between star systems? And yahgs on the level of first flights into space, or first space stations. In the codex information it says that yahgs on the level of Earth's XX century at the moment of 2125 year, but it may be any level and they move forward during 60 years
This is why Mass Effect 2 was the best game in the series. Sure it had little to do with the Reapers and is undoubtedly the weakest in terms of plot progression. However honestly I was far more interested in the Mass Effect Universe than the Reapers. The Shadow broker was more enjoyable than any reaper missions. Hell The most fun I had in ME3 was the citadel arc. It was fucking perfect, hilarious and memorable and added to the adventure and universe. I hope ME4A realizes this and stays clear from "Super Powerful Things that threaten the whole Galaxy and we need to stop it". I would rather play a game that has little impact in its universe and focuses on the lore and atmosphere than vice versa. Just a personal opinion.
+Andy Russell A looming threat forms the backbone of most great games and movies ; Mass Effect (Reaper threat) , Skyrim (Alduin or whatever that Dragon's name was), Witcher (The Wild Hunt), LOTR (Sauron's return) etc. So without a strong center theme, a good story can't entertain for long and will become tedious. And unlike most games, ME series doesn't give you a satisfactory "And they lived happily ever after" ending too. That's more awesome!
+00spiderwolfman If its a common threat then everyone'd be ready for it. Only the "protagonist" realizes the off world threat and tries hard to warn others/stop the threat. Common theme in most fantasies. And then you have a final BIG BATTLE where all join forces against one poor evil. ;D Feel very bad for the evil guy. After all that hardwork and planning....nothing pays off thanx to "the Protagonist"!!! ME 3 ending kinda salutes the reapers if Shep chooses Control/Synthesis...he...he! Poor Shepard, finally fell for it!!!
+Andy Russell Completely agree. This entire mission was a masterpiece - Shepard and Liara arguing like a married couple, while relatively unphased by the waves upon waves of professional killers out to destroy them while desperately calling for reinforcement and fighting for their lives... That's Mass Effect to me, and it was about characters; friends and enemies alike. If we don't get an opponent in ME4 to engage with like this, I don't know how enjoyable I can find the game all on all.
Liara: if you can get him to bring up that shield again I've got an idea Shepard looks at Liara in his head he thinks Shepard: alright going another round with him it's fine
Jason Lee Dear god man save it for the reapers! 8I (try the infiltrators cloak + headshot = prob dead in one shot XD) But yeah I wish they had given him at least the same amount of health that Vasir had he just dies way to fast even on insanity
wiifreak0 what I hated about her boss fight was that you could only take a tiny bit off her barriers before she jumped, so even you use a massively powerful attack, it still only did a tiny amount of damage, I hate when boss fights do that
Not true in mass effect 3 the mossion where you have to protect Eve with mordin you see a few in the lab naked as hell with no markings. If you fight centurions o One escapes ,kills hum then roars jumping oyt the window so I would say more Yahg than drell you see in the whole game(or equal to if 3)

... Then they banged on the Normandy. That is Shepard for ya. In all honesty, this series really forces Liara. Kinda feel bad for the other LIs though.
Honestly shocking to see how far the bar for this series dropped after this release. 3 was fun but it's ending sucked-ass. Don't even get me started on Andromeda. I have ME 1, 2 and 3 installed and I intend to keep them... while the 3rd was not that great the trilogy as a whole makes it the best of all time for me.
Wish we could have made an alliance with him rather than have lame-ass Liara take over as the most ineffectual Shadow Broker in the history of the galaxy.
Thank you for bringing me Mr. Moreau, T'Soni. I have spent all day computing pi because he plugged in the Overlord.

Thanks for bringing me Archangel his bounty remains unclaimed.
This guy reminded me of the kingpin from spider man
karankenZ but a bit uglier. ;)

Mister B he might be thinking of the version in Spider-man:the animated series, kingpin was his main enemy in that
Mister B Kingpin has also been a villain in Spider-Man comics as well, on numerous occasions. Since both Daredevil and Spider-Man operated out of New York, it's not that surprising.
If Kingpin was crossed with a spider I think? His face does look like a spider's face.
This theme is one of my favorites from ME2. Thank's a lot for uploading it.
Best Mass Effect song of all 3 games
