Mass Effect 2 - Rescue Tali/Battle Music

- This is the music I couldn't seem to find for the battles in Haestrom and the Collector battles. The awesomeness begins after around 2.30. If this is actually uploaded already somewhere, let me know with the name of it.
"I'm not going to die from an infection in the middle of a battle. That's just insulting!"
+SenatorSanada
All the more reason to love Kal'Reegar.
I hope we can get Quarian Badass like him in andromeda XD
+Just Petrusion
I hope people would get their heads on straight and realize what's already been said, and that is that Mass Effect Andromeda is gonna be in another galaxy.
***** I would like people like you to stop assuming something and spitting it out as a fact. Yes, It's going to be in a different galaxy, but with some old species. People from Milky Way got there using ship (probably named Arc). The fact that you are gonna play as a *HUMAN* might give it away a bit. You will also have a krogan squadmate (and more krogan since one of his mission's is gonna be to save krogan convoy). If KROGAN can get into Andromeda, I don't see why some quarians couldn't.
+Just Petrusion
I'm pretty sure you made up the krogan part. The human part, on the other hand, seems to be true. Either way, the game doesn't interest me.
Mass Effect 2 is a masterpiece
Yes the best 10/10 rpg only on Xbox 360 and PC
It's the best ME game tbh. It has the most cool characters, best space cop style missions, best soundtrack, and best game play.
Even in 2022
But it's oddly useless in the overall story arc.
Too bad ME 3 didn’t match up since EA gave the team 2 years instead of 3 to work on it.😡
Everyone seems to be associating it with Tali rescue mission
But i remember gritting my teeth to not get her baked in collector's ship vent to this track
No that's this: ua-cam.com/video/zcScbgc5HqA/v-deo.html
I remember picking Legion to go in the vents because I couldn't bear with Tali dying. Also remember having her on my squad every part of the mission for the same reason. Knew it was a guarantee.
@@Robert399 this is the same song. It plays around 2:36 in this video.
@@RoyalRose6 Huh, you're right.
@@Rockcroc2000Rm1wE3erWmNfkL you mean there were missions were Tali wasnt on your squad?
Kal'Reegar, probably the most epic character in series with absolute badass quote where he sends all admirals to the hell in Tali's loyalty mission.
Good Game Which quote do you mean?
Some After the mission when you're back aboard the quarian ship you have to decide on the evidence what you found about Tali's father. There is "Rally the crowd" option just pick it and see what will happen :)
Oh I thought u meant that one. I didnt have enouygh renegade points so I tried to rally the crowd for the first time and the fact that veetor and him backed me up was amazing
yap Reegar is such a classy badass :D
And then Bioware throws him in the trash in ME3...
Loved it when the theme at 2:01 played in the Cerberus base in ME3. So much fucking adrenaline.
I got flashbacks from ME2, after I hear that vibe.
Shepard: "We don't have enough people for you to take one for the team! I'll handle this army of machines led by a giant living tank myself..."
Reegar: "Hot damn, son! You're heroic!"
captainunload I love that
"You're not allowed to die. Meanwhile, I'll face this suicidal task alone."
"You're superiors are sending you to your death, you have a right to refuse."
"Wait, we can refuse suicidal orders?"
Shepard, practicing what he preaches.
thekaboominator1 Ha! My Shepard was more interested in saving life than avoiding hypocrisy. He took on his shoulders something that he knew only he could bear. Love is more beautiful than trying to establish your own righteousness.
captainunload Damn, that last line in your comment was amazing. Thank you for moving me.
NeonBornSpartan
You're welcome. It was inspired by Biblical Theology. Read the Gospel of John and the Epistle to the Romans.
"You diligently study the Scriptures because you think that by them you possess eternal life. These are the Scriptures that testify about me, yet you refuse to come to me to have life. I do not accept praise from men, but I know you. I know that you do not have the love of God in your hearts."
-Jesus, from John 5
captainunload That's where I thought I heard it from! Thanks! I was going to read through the Old/New Testament again this summer and ended up reading two other books lmao.
"THERE WE GO!"
"ONE LESS TO WORRY ABOUT!"
"GOT ONE!"
"YES!"
"Just looking to help."
"BAG THEM AND TAG THEM!"
SCRATCH ONE!!
"SCOPED. AND. D R O P P E D!"
I adore the sense of urgency this piece inspires, especially at 2:36. I remember on my first ME2 playthrough, when I first got to Haestrom. Geth dropping from the sky as this was playing. I remember genuinely fearing for Tali's life, and fighting tooth and nail to get through the army of Geth between me and her.
Music can be truly something magical. No way those kinds of feeling and that sense of emergency would have been possible without the impact of music.
You can also hear it in the Suicide Mission, when you have to send one to the tubes. I sent Tali, so you can imagine how much I ran on that segment.
you just ( "just", 3 years ago) put my exact feelings into words. ME2 was my entry ibto the series, so I didnt even know yet I was about to meet one of my favorite fictional characters ever, but the sense of desperation in that final segment, this music while youre pushing forward completely outbumbered snd under tank fire. one of my greatest gaming moments ever, wish i could relive it, but after conpleting the game 5 times one is so good at it even insanity is a cakewalk.
@@juanlaise1059 Incredibly obvious who's the canon choice for this segment from the music.
1:29 HOSTILES LEFT, GETH BEHIND US
FIRING HIGH IMPACT SHOT!!!!!
+blaby4ever
ONE LESS TO WORRY ABOUT!!
+Diablos YEAH, GOT YOUR ASS
"SCRATCH ONE!"
NICE SHOT!
SCOPED AND DROPPED!
Me: "Arrrrgh, definitely like old times!"
"Scratch one!"
"Go get 'em, Chatika!"
"I. AM. KROGAN!!!!"
I know this song has to do with Tali, but I brought Grunt with me to recruit Tali and when this flared up and Grunt shouted, "I! Am! KROGAN!" and "Too late! Now you're DEAD!", those quotes and this song really got my blood pumping.
+SuperMissile Yeah he says that when charging. Guess he was charging at the right times
"YEAH, right on your ass!"
,,I'll put them down!"
heeehh heeehh heeehh
Arkasaurus Rex
Do geths have asses?
2:04 also plays when you first start infiltrating the collector base.
And for the love of god im still trying to find its name
They use it so much in the series
Its called "infiltration"
When this music started playing during the final assault on the collector base where you have to save Tali before she is burned alive, and that part at 2:35 played when I had mere seconds left to save her and I was charging through heavy fire from Collectors with an inch of my life left to save her was just too epic
Holy shit, I was just listening to random stuff on UA-cam and this came on. I so need to re-play this game for the sixth time now!
0:58 really captures Kal'Reegar's vibe as he sits back blasting the Colossus. It's even more satisfying when you have him fight and survive.
Reminds me of the time I helped a Quarian defeat an overgrown Geth. I remember him saying "You've got a Geth right behind you!"
Found the cheater!
+Larry-three “Larry-3”
_We will assist the creators against these geth units._
@APSejuani Tali is a Disc 2 recruit, and therefore skippable. You can get Legion before getting Tali.
This song can pretty much be retitled as "Get Yer' Stinking Paws Off My Girl, You Damned Dirty Geth!"
The Geth dropping from the sky and making that impact noise as this music plays. Fucking yes.
+RangerJackWalker man that geth prime just came as the soundtrack was on 1:30 goddamit even though the battle was easy af the fight against the prime and the other geth was epic as shit with dat music !!
+RangerJackWalker man that geth prime just came as the soundtrack was on 1:30 goddamit even though the battle was easy af the fight against the prime and the other geth was epic as shit with dat music !!
+Drunken Solomon The music in Mass Effect 2 is not static. It's dynamic. The music depends on the situation. So when that Geth Prime dropped in, the music was scripted to change seamlessly. Even if you had waited before moving to where the Prime spawned, the music would have still played at that exact moment it spawned.
actually this is my favourite track from the game's OST, this melody in the end is simply perfect...
Replaying ME2 on Insanity and getting a series of perfect headshots on the Geth in this mission was glorious. Thank you for uploading.
Especially as an adept
@@knightsotl796infiltrator ftw
2:51 is my favourite part, it's really energetic
1:29 gets my blood boiling
THANK YOU! I've been searching that piece of soundtrack forever :DD

I like to play it while defending settlements
This theme was so "Don't touch my girlfriend!" for me XD.
me too*
same here :D don't touch my girlfriend, you stupid lamphead droids!
As Garrus or Shepard
@@TrajGreekFire shepard
Agreed.
I always made damn sure to have Ree'gar finish speaking to me just in time for 0:00 and 1:20 to play properly. Those 10 seconds of violin strumming are just adrenaline-inducing, as you realize you're in for one hell of a fight against a superior enemy. That transition at 1:30 for those 30 seconds of panic at sudden Geth Primes (at Rannoch), or Geth Destroyers (at Haestrom), is also heart pounding. I love these tracks, they never age, and always makes Haestrom worth looking forward to coming back to whenever I replay the trilogy.
You came for 2:37
That moment in the collector base was epic with this music, Tali in the vent and the collectors coming one by one, Harbinger taking control "stop shepard" her calling for help and me "coming sweetie give me a minute"
Stills remember Garrus saying "There we go" and Morgin saying "killed that one" or "Next!!".God damn this is so epic. The whole series.Let's hope ME Andromeda will be that epic!
And that forsaken sun that was turning into a Red Star too quickly burning the shields.Even that sound the shields made "titititi" was amazing.
Morgin "COLOSSUS.PROBLEMATIC.
Garrus "Ah definitely like old times"
+Eduardo Núñez Olguín yep!!
alexbill1000 God I miss their combat lines from squadmates in the middle of firefights
How dare you call Morgin ''Mordin'', you're a disgrace, Eduardo.
Evertime I play as male shepherd I always romance tali. She is my favorite charecter. And Kal is my second
The Brick if she’s your favorite then Garrus must be your second favorite, in ME3 if you don’t romance Garrus or Tali then they end up together
@@spacejesus6581
This comment adds nothing to the discussion.
@@spacejesus6581 gaurrus is my 3rd favorite
0:55 That drum fill followed by the trumpets gets me every time...
I was in the middle of this epic battle there like bombs and lasers going off every where and more Geff then I could shake a stick at all all of a sudden I here Garrus Vakarian over the come channel: "I'M ROASTING OUT HERE!" and in the heat of all that combat I almost feel out of my chair laughing! Condos Bioware!
Tali is my love.
Legion: We are allied with Shepard. We will fight the geth units in this area.
1:30 Two Geth Prime enter the room
Shepard: Now shit is getting real
The synthesizer play in this track is so addicting. I love this track.
I remember ME2 was the first Mass Effect game I ever played but the first time I saw Tali on Freedom's Progress I stopped and just looked at her. It was literally love at first site
I'm happy we got Tali in our squad in ME3 but... I must confess I would be happy if we got Kal'Reegar :3
I'd gladly pick Kal over James. That being said, I'd pick a three-legged, incontinent dog over James.
@@Robert399 James did just fine.
@@Rockcroc2000Rm1wE3erWmNfkL "muscles, Hispanic" wew, that character's done, time for an early lunch. He's so great let's have other characters bang on about how awesome he is.
@@Robert399 I never said he was the most interesting, and he isn't mean to be. He did what he was meant to do, he got a personality, he hard on the outside but soft on the inside, as you find out if you were open to speaking with him.
@@Robert399 So Sophie the Fenrir Mech?
Still Listening in 2022
It’s that much of a banger
"Your body is dust." -Thane.
Me: *Runs up the right side of the area to reach the High Ground (TM).*
Me: *Kills some geth.* "Pshh, this is easy."
Me: *Has shields dropped in 0.5 seconds by a whole pack of geth troopers, one rocket boi, and a destroyer surprising me from the left.*
Me: *Spams biotic charge button only to see the cooldown still active.*
Me: "FUUUUUUU-"
Voice from off screen: "Watch the landing!"
Jack: *Tosses the entire geth squad into the air with a single shockwave, staggering them and giving me enough time to get to cover.*
Mass Effect squadmates are amazing.
If Jack can save you, you need to bump the difficulty up. She's supposed to flail uselessly then get killed.
Simply awesome! =D Really motivates you to shoot the hell out of everything that tries to hurt Tali B-)
Because she is goddamn special, such a great character deserves such great music.
I'm surprised that of all the characters, hell even the last boss, Tali gets the best music piece... and I'm all for it
5/5
This track really game me the momentum to push forward on insanity difficulty.
I remember the big geth machine at the end, I had grunt and garrus as squadmates. I also just so happened to have the mini nuke (even though that's not what it's called) as my heavy weapon. my Sheppards name was Rico, first thing that popped into my head when I saw the geth colossus was "NUKE UM" RICO"
One of the things I love about this game is that it shows just how easy it is for you to think you know more than you do. We thought the Geth unanimously supported the reapers and hated, or at least wished for the death of, organics. Then we find out that those Geth were simply a separate faction. This series was brilliant.
One of the best soundtracks in the game
I simply loved the Sun being unstable and think it would be amazing if it was a mission related to the Geth building a Dyson sphere.
2:36 WOOO! It's getting intense now
that drop is really sick
This song play both in the Tali rescue mission and in the final assault to the Collector HQ, its a hell of adrenaline rush.
My favorite part begins from 1:29 , this part is definitely the remix of Galaxy Map Theme. The contradicting remix of the original relaxing and exploration music reminds me of the danger that lies within the space that galaxy explorers are destined to face. And we have the courage and defiance to overcome them.
Fantastic!!
Thanks for uploading!!
My favorite track in the whole trilogy. Can't help head-banging at 0:50.
This is the kind of music that makes you feel... COMPELLED to press forward. DRIVEN. You don't just WANT to help her. You HAVE to. And you don't give a damn what gets in your way.
Ironic that the modified theme song of Noveria, a frozen world, is being played in a burning world.
You've got a geth right BEHIND you!
I turn my head and see **KROGAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!**
Ah, the memories of a ten and a half minute firefight with the geth that led to the destruction of that annoying colossus. Best fight ever.
Listening to this song and imagining the epic moments it's associated with makes it hard to sit still
i love the whole music but i must agree the best part is after 2:36 it really make you feel the crescendo, the Urge of the situation when saving Tali :D All music in ME serie are gems... most of them fit on so many other game action as well, listenning to them is always a pleasure
This part was so intensoe for me.
Just loved it, and the music added to the epicness of the mission.
Keelah se-lai
THIS IS WHY I LOVE TRAVELING WITH YOU SHEPARD! BIG THINGS!
one of the best battle themes..
"Combat seals clamped down to isolate contamination, and I'm swimming in antibiotics."
2:02 is when the epic music plays. My most favorite music!
Definitely like old times!
I love how this music plays in the suicide run mission where you have to escort someone down the vent system. That's kinda cool
Mass Effect 2 had the best Character development and contained story while Mass Effect 1 gave a sense of a greater universe. Mass Effect 3 made it a linear, predetermined conversation simulator.
+Sankfang It's amazing that ME andromeda is going back to that ME1 sense. I can't wait to see ME1 without the technical restrains that held it back, back in 2007.
I doubt the script is going to be on the same levels of awesome, but maybe BIOWARE writers can make it happen.
Yeah, writers are usually bad at making story end at as a high quality as beginning and middle parts' quality.
VORP A being of Light ME3 superior tbh. It wasn't perfect but it was certainly a lot better.
Squadwin nope
VORP A being of Light yes :)
You could be right, although this score did come up in Mass Effect 3 which was nice to hear. Mass Effect 2 was a hard act to follow though, certain parts like stepping into Afterlife on Omega and hearing that deep rhythmic bassline and soaking up the atmosphere were just unbelievable.
ohhhh, masterpiece
They play this during the suicide mission I always pick Tali as my tech specialist
3:05 is really nice
ME1 in my opinion had by far the best soundtrack.
the battle at Virmire was my personal favourite.
This music and this mission seemed so desperate from the word go. The sun scorching you, your first encounter with the Geth since Saren makes you almost nostalgic despite how relentless they are, and you know Tali is in this mess SOMEwhere, just as close to death as the countless ravaged Quarians you step over to find her.
And yet, That up there I just wrote is just par for the Mass Effect 2 course.
I agree! That was quite possibly my favorite part of all of Mass Effect 2.....just walking into the Afterlife and then going and talking to Aria. I literally lost myself in that entire experience.
I love the thought of this theme playing not only because of you fighting the Geth but also because your on a planet orbiting a red giant/dieing star.
This track is so epiccccc!
This was the best mission around next to the Geth Base. Something about fighting the Geth on this one made it interesting.
Awesome!
Agreed. I remember it was played during the attack on the collector base (the part starting at 2:30), damn what an adrenaline rush!
I am here with you for enemies like that one!!! - Shephard! (Grunt).
MFW Garrus takes out 4 shields with one overload and mordin incinerates them all
For me the best part clearly comes at 3:04 and is one of the most epic pieces of soundtrack in the entire trilogy. Whenever I'm re-playing the game I always rescue tali as early as possible to butcher geth along to this awesome track. There's something awesome about going up against geth primes with this song playing in the background and hearing grunt scream " I AM KROGANNNNNNNNNNNNN "
The only other time I remember hearing this track was the final suicide mission and it only played briefly at the beginning when you're escorting the tech specialist. And that was an even better setting for this song.
OH YES!
When the Tali music starting playing on Rannock!
Bring it the fuck on!!!
Allright Shepard, we do it you'r way. Keelah Se'lai!!
"For the fleet!"
"Eat this, you synthetic son of a bitch!"
"Get your ass up there, Shepard! I can't keep it down forever!"
RIP Kal Raegar.
This is track is amazing for working out lol
Muy Buen Trabajo, Calidad, talento, the best
I have to say that the music between 1:30 to 2:05 is my favorite. I noticed that it kicks in after you get the 2nd demo charge when you have to fight the geth near the walk way.
Ah, that moment when you pack last warpbomb, colossus goes down and the last notes hit in. Jimmy BGC Hinson, people :D
Mass Effect 3 has mostly sad music becose its suppose to be hopeless battle, i liked the music it fits the whole hopeless battle theme in the game.
Mass Effect games are so awesome, that they just give me a jizzgasm. Can you imagine what a mess that'd be? THE WEAPONS IN THE GAME ARE JUST... I COULD EAT THEM, NOMNOMNOM
Played through the first and just finished te second (just to be in the story when the third comes), I REALLY regret I didnt buy theese games earlier and DAMN, everything is on such a awesome level so you cant put it to scale!
don't be blunt, Rannoch, The future of the Krogan, I was lost without you, I'm sorry, I am proud, An end once and for all, Mars... I could go on
yet when I first hear Overlord music, Haestrom and other ones from ME 2 I was like shit, this is it
Man this so fits the angry talimancer theme ...don't yiu dare fuck with my quarian is what I was thinking the whole time in this mission
Some variant of this is on the combat music soundtrack. I think the song is called infiltration or something.
1:30
Yeah, with me!
One of my favorite two themes!
I'm still trying to find the other though. Does anyone know the name of the theme when you help Grunt fight the Thresher Maw?
Looking foward to crushing the Geth in the the final battle along with those Cerberus jerks and or course, the Reapers
Awesomeness starts at 2:30? Awesomeness starts at 0:00
