I mean the show is still doing good and the characters are really good but yep the Scoops Troops are the fan favorites and the most entertaining ones. But still the plot is still there and they are still doing great, it is not actually cliche and infact every single season they released are better than the previous. There are many entertaining characters other than the scoops troops tho I really enjoy the tandem of Joyce and Hopper alongside the Murray and Alexei.

The good part is that while they made him appear like a generic 80's jerk in the beginning, he actually always acted much better than what you'd expect. Like, you'd think he would do a typical jealous boyfriend thing when he saw Nancy with another guy, but no... he helped them fight the demogorgon.
Turns out, he is actually a decent tank for the party, even if he's only, like, level 2.
I mean you can make some nasty level 2 builds
Hes also the type of guy you'd expect to win every fight, but no, he gets the shit kicked out of him at least once every season.

Nancy for Mike. But Steve choose to be with them with no particular reason is sooooo awesome and heroic. I just see, he cares for kids a lot.
