I always liked the flow in 3rd Strike with all the squash and stretch animation in the game, but this game also has beautiful animations with the clothes, hair, and attacks! Just a different way of doing things, as the characters are more stoic in this game. Just my 2 cents though, I could be wrong.

Butt can make combos with shoryu cancel link... from this way can chain 4 shoryus un combo: 1rts counter cancel, 2nd cancel, 3rd upper, 4 super shoryu. For now Max is only seeing the surface of what can be done in the game. Hopefully you cross the line with someone of good level to show you what this game is capable of.
14:17 that’s not even a corner combo, Max. He can do that mid screen. Mid screen he can even cancel the dragon punch (as he did) into B super. In the corner, if you substitute C shoryuken with A, you can add a 236B before the B super ender

Marco in his D color (Green top and Pink pants) has been my main since 2000, lol. He’s just a very solid character with a lot of useful tools. He’s not top tier tho. On a side note i noticed i don't see anyone using "breaks", they are very useful in Garou and lead to a lot of crazy stuff.

Yeah i'm mostly playing around 180~200 ping due to my location but even with just 3 frames delay it works great, when shit gets crazy and goes to 220~250 i put 4 frames delay and everything is fine, shit's straight up magical.
there should be a recommended delay based on ping like in skullgirls, that way casual audiences can just pick the recommended without being too confused
I don't see how Khushnood Butt is a great character in this game but man no shoto ever felt so good to play absolutely all of the time. The game's so fast and permissive with combos and his animations are just incredible.

Max has yet to see the full potential of Garou. He needs to practice Just Defend to learn how to counter into supers. I learned how to counter everything with all characters. My favorite was Butt. I would counter into his super fireball or when the opponent was in the corner super upper. Butt also has this thrust kick special trick where if you hold down the D button before the round starts and let go just as it begins you do some mean damage.
The strangest thing about Butt's name it's not even the fault of the Japanese not understanding English; his name is Japanese is MARCO RODRIGUEZ. That's a perfectly fine, normal name! Why'd they change it to BUTT?!

About Max missing the deadly raves, I remember back before the new netcode patch came people didn't like the steam version of garou. One guy in particular said the inputs were sometimes registering late and he tested this by doing deadly raves continuously and according to him he landed about 3 out of 10 in the steam version but like 9 or 10 on emulator. Can anyone verify this? 'Cause it seems the same happens to Max.

Rock battle theme stage is kick ass in this game and so memorable if you're playing Garou. Normally I used Freeman but now I noob if return back fighting game as I stop playing fighting game for more than 12 years. Butt is one top tier fighter character in Garou.
I remember when KOF14 came out, I was the only guy who pre ordered. I was excited to play it, learned a bunch of combos and took hours in training mode. Finally went online, took me 15 minutes to find a game, and the delay was bad enough that I couldn’t hit any combos larger than like a heavy into max cancel normal-special. none of the crazy shit
Here's some useless vidya trivia that noone will read or care for - in the DS game Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia, the main character Shanoa can acquire a standard melee attack that is basically the Reppuuken that Rock Howard uses in this game. You can throw them with either her left or right hands, and even combine them to make a Double Reppuuken. There's also a third attack with these weapons that are basically a Raging Storm. Castlevania is packed full of both fighting game references and JoJo references. This is one of my personal favorites. Also, play Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia, it's underrated as fuck and really, really good.

I always felt khushinood was good in this. His way of kyokugen-ryu fighting feels heavy and satisfying.
Yeah, Khushnood's elbows and chops have a strong swinging weight to them that I really appreciate.
You don't say... He's one of the cheap characters of the game. As for heavy karate attacks I prefer Makoto, Silber or Jean Kujo.
