I've just started Orks and I love the Grot tanks, but I'll definitely be kitbashing my own. This video was great inspiration, nice job fella 😊

American here. There are no Lidl stores near me in Missouri, (the only Lidl stores I could find in the US are all on the East Coast.)
But this brings back memories from my late 1960's childhood where you could actually get model kits in the small toy section at a Grocery Store, or even at a Pharmacy if the urge to build hit you on a Sunday. (I still have an old unbuilt Revell F-4C Phantom I got at a swap meet with a grocery store price tag still on it in my stash!)
Oh, and you did a great job on your scratch built Grot Tanks!

I didn’t know Lidl had made it to America at all. It seems there is non stopping their discount empire! MilItary model kits are a really nice break from all these Warhammer miniatures for me. Just that little bit different.
I'm just the opposite. I'm not a gamer, but I've built a few Warhammer models for something 'different,' and have a few more unbuilt ones in my stash. (I render them the way I would regular Military model kits.) There is a Games Workshop franchise about ten miles from where we live. But so far, no Lidl. And until I saw your video, I'd never even heard of them. But the idea of coming across a model kit at a grocery store at a discount still appeals to me . . . .

Where did you happen to get that white plastic you used?
The diamond plate was from 4D Models in London but should be available around the world. Search for model diamond plate or model tread plate.
Try giving plastic soldier company a look, lots of different and affordable plastic tanks there. Most of my wwii stuff is from them.
I'm back with a curious question: Would you make a video on kitbashing Eldar Exodites? Can they be realized well in their primal aesthethics using dinosaur toys or other elf bits?
That would be super cool. Exodites are a really cool bit of the lore. No plans right now but you never know…
