I was looking around at zippy inserts if I got this. Would you put in just the bar insert and the three littles ones? Or all of them and the slim caps. I've never used slim caps before
also for anyone who was wondering about this versus the nautilus, the V3 kraken has better grip than the G10 on the naut! I definitely like the V3 more than my nautilus, disregarding the weight, purely off of flipping experience. the kraken also doesn’t pinch you like the tang pins on the nautilus. I am a sucker for ring, and mine definitely rung, but it’s no even bad compared to some!

Tip weight is a bit overrated IMO. I have small magnets that I can attach to my knives to test what extra tip weight would feel like. In my experience adding significant tip weight usually makes the balance wonky. A little tip weight is nice though.
I am really torn man I cant find many reviews on the V3 (Maybe because its newer) but I really want to get a squid industries trainer and from what I have read the Kraken (Krake Raken) is one of there best Balisongs if not the best trainer they make. Would you suggest buying a V3 krake raken? I have also heard read good things about the squid trainer v4.5 but dont really like how it looks compared to kraken or maybe wait till the Madko comes out? I currently have a BB barfly z.x-1 and it feels awesome I just feel like squid industries is the way too go.
@@PigeonFlipz That's the other thing everyone and everything I read says get a live blade kraken but I honestly dont want to cut my hand off since I am somewhat newer. Maybe get a live blade kraken and tape it or something. Thanks for the advice man, love the videos!
@@whatm4339 You can always tape the blade as you mentioned or even just dull the edge. I don't think you would be disappointed with the v3 kraken trainer tho
I think it’s worth it, but not the best out there. Something like a serif trainer or a orca trainer are obviously better. But the kraken is still worth it
@@PigeonFlipz Wow, the difference is actually insane. I really didn’t think the upgrade in quality would translate over too much tbh, but boy was I surprised. It is actually night and day in comparison to my old Vulp. To be fair, this is my second ever balisong(the Vulp being my first) so I’m pretty biased in regards to a review. The only thing I can say is, I do notice some ringing in my V3. Like he said, it’s very subtle and I don’t really know what the industry standard is, but ringing is not completely nonexistent in this product.

I find the nautilus has fantastic grip, but only in hot environments. If it is cold or dry, the g10 feels slick and its hard to grip.

the v3 Kraken sounds better than the v2.5 if you are not opposed to live blades I would grab a live Kraken over the v3

but should I buy a v2.5 instead cause I can still find them from certain vendors. like i really like the trainer blade on it

Hey so I have a Vulp currently and was seeing if the kraken was worth upgrading for more tricks like fanning, is the upgrade to kraken worth it?
