Drone is a DJI Mini 2 SE. We thought we were up wind and perhaps up high enough to safely observe the Estes rocket but neither of those assumptions were correct.
As we were planning the shot I was trying to guide drone placement in a safe place. My friend made a comment that if we have a collision we should all buy lottery tickets on the way home. From the ground it looked for sure that there would be a collision. Pretty remarkable.

I feel like it was closer. Don't forget drones have pretty wide angle lenses.
