I think that what i appreciate most about your work, Mr Booth, is that you're a rare thing amongst photographers in your seeing that Nature has already created the Art, and that we serve it best by representing it in a way that does honour to the subject - a thing that you, in your modesty, unfailingly do. I have the greatest respect for your work.
As usual your ability to see what others can’t is incredible. The water bug image brought back wonderful childhood memories of our yearly family camping trip in the forest where I would sit and watch those bugs for hours. Thanks for that Simon. Carla
Beautiful images, Simon - all excellent! Like me, you like to shoot the little things in life, so am glad I found your channel. I like landscapes, but everyone takes them, so your channel is unique. Trouble is these days, getting down on the ground is hard, but getting up again is much harder! So take care!🇦🇺
Thank you. I do a lot of exercises to make sure that I stay flexible and I’m able to get to where I need to. It’s so important to keep your mobility for as long as you can.
Lovely to see images across the spectrum of nature. It is sometimes easy to get sucked into looking at the fascinating details and not zoom back and see the harmony of an entire scene
I recently bought the Pocket 3 and for some reason it keeps jumping to mono. I’ve since done a factory reset in the hope it’s cured it. Fingers crossed 🤞🏻
LOVE that water strider shot (caught in the act)! And the moss shot with the lucky fly! Glad you included the mouse! And that last image is so peaceful. What a breathtaking spring day. And the video production values keep getting better! Did you get your lens fungus situation sorted?
Thank you Peter. Since getting rid of the Insta 360 I’ve got a DJI Pocket 3. It’s got lovely image quality. Thanks for your thought, particularly on that last one.
Thank you for another lovely video. Your knowledge of nature really brings the story of your images to life. And I may just have seen something moving in that wall behind you ;)
I stumbled upon your page and loved how expertly you compose and make photography look simple, genuine and very beautiful. I am glad I came across your page and I am your new follower!
Im so glad to have you here. It’s still amazes me how UA-cam manages to hide some channels to viewers. You’re here now so that’s great thank you for subscribing.
Yes indeed, it’s the funny algorithm. I am glad I am here now and there’s so much learn, celebrate about your photography and implement it in my own style, thank you for the inspiration 😊🙏🏻
Lovely set of diverse images Simon! Each one so unique and their own. The detail in the first one with the skaters was amazing - and that you caught a pair at 'play'! Loved the feeling of quiet emerging green in the last one too.
Liked the trees shot.. something I'm not too good at. A question, if I may, did you think about using a polariser to cut the glare off the water and remove a chunk of the whiteish sky reflection?
Hi Tim, it didn’t strike me as needing a polariser. The water was reflecting white sky and I doubt the polariser would’ve cut through that at the angle I was to the sun
Once again amazing photos Simon. Being as I am still a novice you said you needed a fast shutter speed to get the pond hoppers yet you used 1/20 of second which to my understanding is slow. Can you explain please?

That is very kind of you to say so thank you so much
That is one of the best comments ever. Perfect!
Absolutely fantastic video Simon and beautiful photos the last one of the trees was my favourite shot thank you for sharing your video
Three brilliant images! You make it look so easy, but I well know how difficult it really is!
Good fun all the same David.
Wonderful images yet again. You really are the best at spotting and creating an image. Next video please.
I find it hard work getting pictures in woodland but I do like your approach to it, thank you for showing it to us!
Unbelievable images, as always Simon! Your ability to “see” a photo never ceases to amaze me. Thank you!
And a little bit of patience thrown in for good measure.
What a lovely video Simon. Your joy at ‘simply’ being out in nature is great to watch😀
Thanks Jon. It was a lovely morning.
Hey Simon, my favorite is number 1. No one would see, that this little insect gives a wonderfull picture, but you.
Only just got round to watching this, Simon. And I think recognised that Borrowdale tree! The moss with the spore bodies was my favourite.
Hello Simon
The first one is realy great image, but I like the mouse at 8:30 :-).
Have a nice time.
Thanks, you too!
Beautiful record of the dimples in the water from their feet 🙂
It’s quite remarkable though that’s actually a thing. Literally walking on water.
Thank you Simon. I love the images but what makes your videos so engaging is your wider knowledge and ability to communicate it.
Many thanks! It certainly comes in handy from time to time.
Brilliant!!!
Amazing photos and knowledge, sir. Your artistic vision is always an inspiration. Great work
Thank you so much 😀

Superb video, Simon. I'm really inspired to recreate your pond skater image.
A short but sweet video Simon. The Pond Skaters standing on the surface tension of the water is great shot.
I was in a bit of a rush that day. I recall the coffee shop was beckoning
@@SimonBoothPhotography That's as good a reason as any Simon 😊
never ceases to amaze
lovely images Simon - and a relief to discover it's not just me that's fascinated by mosses!!
What’s not to love?

I struggle with woodland compositions, unless I'm doing macro. Today's video gave me some food for thought. Thanks.
I’m glad it proved useful, Scot. Thank you.
Like always - fantastic!
Thanks again!
Simon Booth, Your videos always make me happy, so I subscribed!
Thank you so much and welcome.
Great video Simon with very nice photos! I’m always amazed at your eye for detail.
Glad you enjoyed it Wim. Patience is all that is needed.
Thanks Simon. Another great film. Three ripping images. 👌👌👌
Thank you
Thanks!
And thank you too.
Hello Simon. I like the number 1and 2. Thanks for sharing the images and how you find these litle objects, which was not so easy (see No 2),
Lovely to see images across the spectrum of nature. It is sometimes easy to get sucked into looking at the fascinating details and not zoom back and see the harmony of an entire scene
A lovely watch and great shots
most enjoyable Simon, I have to say tho I struggled to hear the audio in some parts. A bit quiet. atb.
I recently bought the Pocket 3 and for some reason it keeps jumping to mono. I’ve since done a factory reset in the hope it’s cured it. Fingers crossed 🤞🏻
Brilliant images today love the little skaters ❤x
Three remarkable photos. Hard to pick a fave however, the middle one wins out. Well done as usual.
Many thanks! I would agree with your choice the middle one was my favourite too

Another very informative video that contained some fantastic images

I especially liked the water bug(s).
Ditto on the comment giving thanks for your sharing of woodland lore. I loved the post you shared recently about the dawn chorus of birds in Wales.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Three stunning images!
Simon, I am glad you are back and I hope you are slowly getting better and better.
I’m all sorted now, thank you very much. Life has finally got back to normal.
Love the photos and your videos are like a nice meditation.
Always massively inspiring and brilliant images Simon. Thank you.
Cheers Chris
1st image of the day is top notch stunning.
Thank you, Simon. Always great images and new ideas. Thanks. KB
My pleasure ken
Great shots again Simon, if I had to pick a favourite it would be number 2. Cheers.
Mine too!
I enjoyed the video 😉
Thank you for saying so
Excellent images, thank you for sharing the process!
My pleasure!

120th of a second. It may have been the way I said it.
Hi Simon, I am interested to know what size your prints are and does macro photography influence the image size.
Prints are available at any size really and as for macro Photography it really doesn’t make any difference to the print size.
The audio on the right keeps coming in and out for some reason. Other than that, enjoying the video.
It’s hopefully fixed now
