I just can confirm this. They do not intentionally block videos. They appreciate them (as they themself do reaction videos as mentioned to other reactors when new stuff comes out). This is youtube just beeing .... youtube

it's not them who block the videos, it's the publisher. they even got their own videos blocked, copyright claims are stupid. but like many others said, they (and their label!) love and appreciate reactions so if you reach out, they'll help unblocking it (provided they're not extra busy).
great reaction! you made me realise that for a lot of people this may really be the first time seeing them without wings and costumes 😂while they don't have to prove anything to anyone, a song like mindreader (and a couple other serious ones) was great to show those doubting them that they're not just a one-trick pony gimmick band. humour may be their focus but it's not all they do.
PS, stay away from tekkno train for now (from their TEKKNO album) because they're making a video for it and it's one of the fun ones. and who knows, maybe they'll make videos for neon and parasite too.
Good to see you guys react to this one! I have listened to the entire Tekkno album and it is ALL GOOD. start to finish. It may be worth it to do Tekkno Train, no music video but you will definitely get a kick out of it. I wish they would make a video for it!!

Another incredible 'serious' song of theirs is 'Prism'.
The original heavy version is great (and VERY Linkin park) but the acoustic remake with Nico on vocals is just sublime.

Well, before they called as Eskimo Callboy, search on youtube, like The Scene Videoclip. They have pretty good album. The new lead singer Nico, bring some fresh vibe. It feels like years ago the band settled in the US. Then they came back to Europe a couple years ago before Covid.
just food for thought: go back to their album Crystals and tell me whether you hear the heaviness BEFORE they started doing fun songs...these guys have been serious for a long time, and the period of fun music only started recently :) This song could easily be off Crystals.

I just heard Electric Callboy about a month ago (which pisses me off I didn’t know about them sooner😂) and am now all about them. They are now my favorite band! Mind reader is my favorite among ALL of their great songs! You need to check out the velvet version of Pump It. You will definitely appreciate their singing abilities! Enjoy!
I agree with other people in the comments, you need to do hate/love reaction pleeeeeeeease, so yes it's a serious song, a really serious song. And also if your EC reactions get blocked, just chuck em a message. It's an amazing album, please do it all! This video is rough, but it makes sense and yes the production value is through the roof. Lyrically its an amazing song, with a serious message, EC has taken me through some tough sh*t. This song live is amazing, also I love that you guys can be surprised with each song, every song brings something new.
Another new one from EC that's really different and awesome is "fuckboi". It features all-female metal band Conquer Devide. Real 2000's vibe!

The word of the day for this song is "satisfying". Its like it has been created to push all of the buttons in my brain.
Lots of recent Electric Callboy stuff is unbridled fun, and I love that. This is not fun, but catharsis. It's not the most complex song, but the sound is huge, the pace incredible. And the way it is constructed is great.
It's all about building tension and then releasing it.
Thanks for putting this on my radar. Only listened to the funny stuff up to this point but I agree, this is very impressive too.

I just saw them on Sunday at Download Festival and they are amazing live!! This song is now one of my favourites 💜 and yes , they wear the wigs for Hypa Hypa, pump it and we got the moves 😂
Well it's similar to their song "Crystals" which is about meth addiction and with old singer "Sushi". Definitely one of their best songs, you should react to it.
Mindreader often is refered as "Crystals2", if you don´t know "Crystals" you should probably check it out, it´s with their old singer Sushi, really hits like a truck! ;)
The video looks different because it´s from Mirko Witzky, who is well known in the german metal scene for his stuff, instead of the Schillo Brothers (the guitarist Pascal and his brother) who did all of their goofy stuff.

So a fun little thing here: I’m pretty sure it wasn’t intended, but this video style is much more similar to the music videos from Nico’s old band that broke up (To the Rats and Wolves). Definitely check them out if you have the chance- my fave is Blackout.
