Thanks for this topic. I've been thinking heavily about how to give myself a jump start and put my debt days behind me. Mostly hospital bills and student loans but now I have a job that pays pretty well so I want to take advantage.
I would definitely say read I Will Teach You To Be Rich by Ramit Sethi and download whatever apps you need to keep you on track. I used debt payoff planner and now we are debt free.
I know it's not easy but if you can establish the habit of putting away whatever extra money you have now then you'll be better at managing your money when you have more. The luxuries should be the first thing to go... Eating out, entertainment, streaming services, etc. It's not gonna be fun but it will be worth it.

Yes
I paid off a 10,000 credit card in 17 months, stop buying clothes, stop eating out as much, and put that 600.00 extra a month on that credit card
Yes! You have to sacrifice. There's no way around it.

Just got a job $9 an hour gonna try to do this (I’m 18 so I don’t have anything major to pay for btw)
You can do it. Saving anything is better than saving nothing. Slow progress is better than no progress.
@@DanielleLaShawn yes! I’m in community college for two years so I’m going to save as much as I can for university

This video was helpful and much appreciated…the only thing is the title should be how “we” saved $11,000.
I'm the only one in the thumbnail which is why it's titled "I".
