      Just do it! Put your own spin into it! For example, if you love museums, you can do a walking tour of art Museums you love

    I have been thinking to buy a Pocket 3 for such walking tour. I like the video of iPhone or pixel with a gimbal but this seems inconvenient to me so I thought Pocket 3 is lighter

      DJI Osmo Pocket 4 will be here soon, so hold off until that is released to either buy a cheap OP3 or the newer version. Either is absolutely the best option for these kinds of videos. Anything bigger draws more attention, but due to the Pocket’s unique shape, people normally disregard it as a camera.

    I've read that the cpm for these channels are between $3 and $8 depending on how popular the city is. If you live in a popular tourist city you could really base your channel on that city alone. I get free flights where i work, so i figured this would be a great way to earn some passive income.

    • @SimonSonghurst.Travel

      Sounds like a great job if you get free flights. Make the most of that!

      Hab ich auch vor :) Das Gute bei der DJI Osmo 3 ist, dass die Menschen gar nicht erkennen, dass es eine Kamera ist. So erspart man sich sämtliche Blicke oder auch Kommentare... Es kommt natürlich auch darauf an wo man filmt.

    What about capturing audio of copywritten music while you walk? Don't you need to share the revenue with the creator (or lose the ability to monetize)?

    • @SimonSonghurst.Travel
      @SimonSonghurst.Travel  6 днів тому

      I did have that issue on a recent tour, and my method is to cut a piece of audio from around where the copyright music kicks in and replace it by fading on the cuts. Works a treat!!!

    do you think only first world country or beautiful cities are worth to we are topic or third world cities like Dhaka or Mumbai or African cities can also be a good investment?

    • @SimonSonghurst.Travel
      @SimonSonghurst.Travel  6 днів тому

      I think they are better options for a new channel. Places that haven’t been covered so much will be instantly popular, thus gaining you quite a profitable channel in the future. Looking forward to watching your tours.

    Cool ! What do you think about Gopro for walking videos ? Its because I have already a Gopro and I have no money to buy

    • @SimonSonghurst.Travel
      @SimonSonghurst.Travel  2 місяці тому

      If it's one of the latest GoPro cameras you should be ok. You'll just either need to get a small inexpensive gimbal or use your arm to steady the shots.

    great video thanks. Just subscribed. Was wondering how you manage to export an hour long 4k video.. my premiere pro keeps crashing even when I try to render it.

    • @SimonSonghurst.Travel
      @SimonSonghurst.Travel  2 місяці тому +1

      Thats one of the main reasons I switched from Premiere pro to DaVinci Resolve. Best decision I made and wish I had sooner. It's super easy to use which I don't think many people are aware of.

    Subscribed! great channel.
    I just have one question in my mind from the last few days
    Most street-walking vloggers take continuous, long or short videos. How long is best for general?

    • @SimonSonghurst.Travel
      @SimonSonghurst.Travel  5 місяців тому +1

      Good question! 1 take around 10mins is more than enough. UA-cam will push longer videos thus making you more money via ad placement.

    Great video mate, if i could give you one advice to attract more views. Is to change your thumbnail s. Try to put less text in it. Because the videos it self are great. But the thumbnail not so really to be honest. Keep up the great work ❤

    You can't call it a passive income. It takes a lot of walking.

    • @Passport_Ninja
      @Passport_Ninja 8 днів тому +1

      It's passive once the video is up it can continue to earn income for years. 99% of passive income takes upfront work.

    It's not passive

    • @SimonSonghurst.Travel
      @SimonSonghurst.Travel  2 місяці тому +1

      Why would it not be passive? For me personally it is. I guess it depends if your channel is monetised and the other way you funnel revenue streams. Interested to hear your views on it not being passive. Thanks
