    Finally! Was wondering when these two would get together - very similar approaches. Like no other vegan doctors. Awesome video - thank you.

    Very interested to know what she thinks about the research review that Dr. Gregor did on flax versus Chia seeds. The Chia seed research be very short in comparison to the flax. There were also some issues with the sponsorship of the Chia.

    I’m a fan of both these docs for sure, but what about those who seem to thrive and heal on strict carnivore? Is it because they’ve also cut out all junk, or is it possible that some have adapted differently? It’s curious to me as I’ve seen people on both sides heal radically… I’d love to see someone get into this deeper to see why some folks get sick the more plants they have, and vice versa.

    • @mariaespiritu9512
      @mariaespiritu9512 7 днів тому +2

      They may be feeling better, but are they better? I’ve seen a lot of carnivore diet eaters posting lower GFR rates (below the 60), constipation, crazy high total and LDL cholesterol (as high 300 for total, well over 200 for LDL), so I don’t think that’s healthy in the long term.

    • @mariaespiritu9512
      @mariaespiritu9512 7 днів тому +1

      Unless you know of any long term studies on the carnivore diet, not just anecdotes

    • @kevins9389
      @kevins9389 6 днів тому

      @@mariaespiritu9512 Some of them are, or as they report they are. Joe Rogan, Mikhala Peterson and her father Jordan Peterson, but also followers on their and other Carnivore channels. People are reporting all kinds of healing including normalized blood pressure, reversing arthritis, and even some claiming reversing kidney disease. One guy I definitely trust is Dr. Eric Berg who isn't a carnivore supporter, but said that red meat saved his life.
      It is obvious from watching content from Dr. Montgomery and Dr. Goldner (LOVE her story as I have had RA since I was 10 years old and have cousins with lifelong lupus) that plants heal some, but I have also seen many who dropped plants and went strictly the other direction and began to heal. I wish there were a one-size-fits-all way of eating, but I am thinking with the disparities in DNA and other factors, there is likely a spread of what is optimal factor-dependent.

      It is ok as long as you follow the bible verse Ezekiel 4:12 which tells you it should be baked in dung. Do you like dung?

    I believe in plant based, but for some reason, plant based is very hard on my digestive system.

    • @sparenomind6856

      I think you need to slowly reintroduce plants into your diet. After 30, 40 & 50 + years on the standard American diet, our gut microbiome is no longer populated by those organisms that digest starches & fiber.
      So, breaking the plant cell wall by juicing vegetables & creating green smoothies is a great way to get the raw goodness of plants.. Fruits are the easiest plant products to digest.
      If you're still having issues, steaming or heating vegetables also makes them more digestible. I'd also suggest adding fermented foods to your menu.

      Lots more water and try smoothies first easier to digest

    This woman lost her young son in a tragic accident and one day later she is laughing up a storm and making videos like nothing happened. This is not the sign of a healthy woman on a healthy diet or lifestyle.
