Please make one of these videos for a Jetta of Golf MK3 and can it be done for the USA market?

Pretty cool but the experience isn’t the same without a manual transmission with a 3 foot long shifter,

Great video guys, just a general question about converting a classic car to an EV, is it ever likely to be in the realms of £15-£20k, assuming you are just doing the basics I.e replacing engine with electric power and all associated work.
    Thanks again

You can bring a good conversion in at around £15k to £20k, but only with doing all the work yourself, the labour cost is the real budget killer. Having said that, I think these guys must be targeting the very wealthy with more money than sense, their pricing structure, even allowing for a very high hourly labour rate and a fat profit added on top to boot, is just crazy. The decent range package costs twice the market value of a top notch VW Bus to start with, who in their right mind is going to want an EV version of their £30k bus for a total of £90k!!

@@NewmanAutomotive Thanks for your reply I feel that it’s way overpriced for what it is and out of the reach of most people. Thanks again

I’m sure it will. Battery prices and motor spec will come down. It’s the build and the fabrication that will need to be unique and theta coat money.
