..When you work in your shop you make it look so interesting that I feel like getting out of my nice soft chair and go out to the shop. The only problem is that it is so dang cold up here that I decided to stay put and watch a hockey game. The wife's coffee is good to.
Ever make your own springs from music wire? (A lot more effort than $12 though!). I'm guessing turning a form out of soft wood similar shape as original, and match wire diameter, number of loops and spacing, and chuck form in lathe between centers, and pull it real tight while turning chuck by hand. Might need your grand daughter for an extra hand to turn chuck though. Only asking if you have and if it worked out. Been considering this myself for other stuff.
Actually, I like the machine work. It’s always interesting, for me, to watch parts being made.
